Wow, this is great info... Luckily I love researching- I'm getting ready to self-pub my own books(poetry being the first up) using the KDP. Thank you so much❤
Thank you Channel. Nick Stephenson suggest in his formation exactly what you advice us about KDP. For me as a new writer in Canada and in french language, I really think I should go Wide. I really prefer going slowly but surely and keep my audience and readers faithful.
Thanks for a very helpful video. I have novels that are flat-lining and I am thinking of going the KDP route for my new novel in a different genre than the others. I was on the fence but this really helped me to lean toward KDP. I am about to watch the others, so thanks in advance.
Excellent presentation, crisp and informative. I look forward to watching other Reedsy videos. (One small note: around 1:33 the drop-down panel has a typo in the word "monthly".)
Hi, I am very confused. At the moment I am all with Amazon. All 68 novels and a few years ago, I was making about £2,000-£3000 a month. And its slowly been diminishing over the years. Now I'm lucky if I make £20 a month. So I haven't a clue what's going on. Can I remain publishing on Amazon but don't go for KPT? If I can am I still tied exclusively to Amazon? Thank you for the video. Subscribed straightaway.
You can still list your book on Amazon but not go through KDP, you won't get the extra features KDP has, but this way you can list your book on Amazon and other retailers as well!
There are many national Amazon stores worldwide, so even if you're not on the biggest platform for any particular country, you're still there. Plus there is still paper, though some brick and mortar book stores only do business with publishers, they don't list PoD books. :(
