Also the one thing I’ll never forget one of the interviews with Kyle after going to RCR. The reporter ask how he felt or something and said something like “IT FEELS Great JUST TO BE WANTED, you know”. Now that hit me. Because I’ve seen multiple dudes get destroyed by a team that didn’t make them feel WANTED. IT DESTROYS ALL HOPE AND CONFIDENCE.

Personally, I think AD reached out to Kyle for a few reasons. First, I agree. I think he brought Kyle in to elevate the company. I think it proved to RC that he knows when to go after talent, and how to bring that talent in to the fold. I also believe he knows that he can learn a lot from Kyle. He hasn’t had a lot of successful teammates to learn from at the Cup level, and bringing in one of the best could help him learn a few things to elevate himself. I felt like we’ve seen that the first few weeks. AD finished 2nd at the clash, was running up front at the end of Daytona, and had a solid top 10 finish at Auto Club. AD is already better than he was last year in the standings, so I think he’s already learning from probably one of the best drivers in the series, something he hasn’t had in the past.

I have been saying that Kyle was the best driver in NASCAR for the past 5 yrs....when hit 200 wins over the 3 series, he proved it....We know he will never hit 200 in Cup like Petty...but you have to remember that NASCAR in the 60's and early 70's ran 3 or more sanctioned races a week, that's how Petty got 200.

Bottom line, Kyle Busch is a wheel man! I was a hater in his earlier years. But if you're a true fan of the sport you have to recognize his accomplishments, admire his outspoken opinions and the fact he backs up his opinions with performance on the track. Truck, Busch, Cup. He has done it in all 3 series for a long time. Being a Sr. and Jr. Fan all my life when Jr. retired I was all in for Kyle. Martin Truex as well. Love him or hate him the dude is a wheel man and will and should be in the hall of fame. Couldn't be happier that he won the race!

To me it seems you can get an idea of how good a team and driver are when watching the races that come after the Daytona 500. Reason being is with the Daytona 500 being a superspeedway race a majority of the field has a chance to win, especially with the current rules package. And we've seen in the past where a driver will win the Daytona 500 and then go on and have a decent rest of the season.

Austin has probably never had anybody with Kyle's credentials working with him on his driving skills. Kyle's been coaching driver development with his own teams for years and been successful at it. Thats a big plus for Austin and RCR. He's probably top 5 or close at this stage and he's just hitting his peak years. Everybody hates his on track personality but he is said to be really normal off track. Nascar drivers always had a personality in the old days until someone decided they all needed to be milk toast JJ who really is over rated and if not for Chad K and all the rule changes might have won 3 rings. 19 years cup experience 2 Championships racing in a Top Shelf team being given the Respect he Deserves racing against drivers who have less experience to fall back on. The old time drivers didn't usually get the good equipment until their late 30s.This is a new Chapter in the Kyle B story and they are still learning each other's needs, lookn pretty good so far.
