Sitting here in 2023, Bron is the all-time leading scorer, 4 rings, 4 finals MVPs, 4 MVPs, and universally regarded as 1 of the 2 best players in the history of the game.
Ain’t that the truth. Stephen A in a throwaway statement says Kareem record is impossible to reach. Whole time the man they’re debating about would ultimately do it. Sports is sports. Don’t really need the takes from these guys on tv talking a bunch of drivel.
Universally? A lot of people have Kobe ahead of him, and many others still don’t have him in their top 5… I’m not saying LeBron is or isn’t l, but “universally” is a big stretch.
Objectively Lebron is a solidified top 5 player ever maybe not 1 or 2 in some people's opinion but he's top 5, saying Lebron isn't top 5 in 2023 is just delusional nonsense
@@zachsmart8569Bron would pass him first. Matter of fact if bron wasn’t injured and missed like 40-50 games during the first 3 yrs of the lakers early years he would’ve been passed kareem.
Larry the unshakeable, clutch, hard-nosed, intelligent, ultra-competitive, leader Bird. No melt downs no blame deflecting, no fear, all the intangibles.
lol typical casual that never bothered to know birds career and just blindly listens to what other casuals say. Bird had a PLETHORA of meltdowns and chokejobs. 1982 2nd round 1st seeded Celtics vs 3rd seeded 76ers. Bird loses to them averaging a horrible 18 pts on 41% fg and 20% 3fg. 1983 2nd round vs the Moncrief Bucks. SWEPT by the bucks averaging another pathetic 19 pts on 44% 1987 finals vs lakers : elimination game 6 : bird in the biggest game of the season puts up a terrible 16 pts on 37% fg and outplayed terribly by magic 1988 2nd round vs Pistons : Averaged a pedestrian 20 pts on a horrible 35% fg and 16 pts in the elimination game 6 1991 2nd round vs pistons : averaged 13 pts on 38% fg enuff said
@@AnthonyBdope-ez8bsyes he is pass first. Some may look at assist but passing doesn’t equate assists all the time so there isn’t a stat to show it. Just because he scores 27 doesn’t mean he doesn’t pass first. Bron passes leads to him scoring. He may pass to get himself a cut to the basket or to set himself up to score.
This was back in 2014. In 2014 Lebron was barely a top 10 player at best and only had 2 rings and like 9 all stars and was criticized for it since he was still in Miami when this was made. Now he’s probably the greatest ever tho
@@lxfluid3242 LMAO in 2014 Lebron was the best basketball player in the world, as Stephen A literally says in the video, and skip even agrees. Lebron was the best basketball player in the world from 2011 all the way to 2019. Only then you could say maybe KD.
In 2014 they were saying he’s the greatest small forward ever. 10 years later…2 more titles. 5 more finals appearances. 10 more all nba’s and Stephen a now says there’s no way Lebron could ever be better than jordan. 10 years in he was best small forward ever 10 more years of all nba play and he can’t be the goat. 10 MORE YEARS lol jordan only played 13 total all nba years lol Lebron had 9 at this point Has 10 more since and not the goat 😂 makes no damn sense
It's not a matter of how many years you play in the NBA. Jordan accomplished more than Lebron in less time and never had to jump from team to team or have half his roster traded at the deadline.
Bird was a very good scorer, rebounder, and excellent passer - what SA Smith doesn't understand Bird impact the game with passing as much as with shooting. SAS speaks of Bird as if he never watched him. Bird made plays. One of the smartest players and most impactful. At his best he was certainly as good or better than Magic (VORP, Plus/Mins, OWS/DWS). Kareem "Larry Bird could do it all". I think that is way more valuable than SAS skewed take on Bird. The man either didnt watch 1980s and didnt understand what he saw. However, LeBron is one of 3 all time greats, probably #2 at worst but now more and more maybe #1. Bird wasn't so blessed physically - LeBron has the speed of Pippen, the size and power of Karl Malone, and can shoot the 3, more or less. Bird did make the 2nd All-D team, but LeBron is better on D due to his speed and power. Plus his longevity is unmatched!
5 years after Bron retires , he will start being called the GOAT a lot more.. The time the next generational talent that reaches him and Jordan’s level, it’ll be at least 30 years
Wemby is the next. Lebron beat 73-9 team who had the best shooters ever and lead both finals teams in points, assist. Steals, blocks, AND rebounds. Wemby is gonna be the best defensive player ever. Dpoy every season he’s healthy. Will beat Tim Duncan’s defense team record if healthy.
@@moneymoney3235 I feel you … but Grant Hill was the next Jordan as well (could argue he was Bron before Bron) … and so was Stackhouse , Vince Carter, Michael Finley … I hope Wemby is elite , but I doubt he gonna be on that level
B4 mj won a championship in 1990 skip said he was the greatest player ever now with lebron 2 consecutive championships he cant even be the greatest small foward ever? Smh
Not sure you can call a Ring chaser the greatest at anything but chasing rings. Great but not the greatest. I'd take Bird much better under pressure and much higher BB IQ.
Tell me when Larry is the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and has over 10,000 career assists and over 10,000 rebounds. Cause I know lebron is about to be there 🤷🏾♂️
Longevity Numbers...Prime to Prime Bird was Simply Better Than Lebron...Better in Playoffs...Better in Finals...Clutch Gene...Bird was The Better Player
@@lxfluid3242 Greatest forward ever yes, I'd still say he's second all time in the goat debate. Overall though, Lebron is closer to first than he is to third place.
People are really trying to make the most known flopper in the world into the GOAT, a guy who cannot shot a Free Throw, a guy that dunking has the same 2p% as Bird shooting, a guy with one of the worse clutch % in the league, world famous as a flopper and a whinner, change teams , stat chaser.... and I can go on. Is plain shameful that a generation want to consider this type of player in the GOAT list. Is a shame for an entire generation.
He is one of the best blockers in history, in his days in Miami he could defend from 1-5, from 2008 to 2013-14 he was the most complete defender in the league. Only he is not a 1vs1 player like mike, kobe, kd, etc, he is one more player of reading the plays.
He was robbed of a defensive player of the year in 2013 when they gave it to Marc Gasol. You don’t got to be a Lebron Stan to understand the man was literally able to do it all at his absolute peak.
@@ezirulez4eva175 Bird played against 4 players in the all time top 10 and 6 players in the all time top 25. Bird played against 3 dynasties (The 76ers, Lakers and Pistons) Contrast that with Jordan. Jordan, in his championship winning years played against only 2 players in the all time top 25 and had one of the top 25 all time players on his own team (Scottie pippen). He beat only one dynasty, the Pistons when the Pistons were old. LeBron played against even weaker competition.
