I work a Nightshift at a supermarket which is quite stressful and sometimes involves really long hours. I do enjoy it, but sometimes it's hard to unwind. In the past I just lay in bed drinking on my nights off and nothing got done and it just got more and more depressing. I worked through covid and I've never had it, but again it involved long hours...yes some of it voluntary. Over the last year I've started a change trying to sort my life out and I'm a lot happier. I've discovered hiking ( I've the Shropshire Hills on my doorstep). I try to go out once a week though I haven't for about 2 months due to the weather. I am going on Friday though. I find that being out in nature is so calming and it's there I can slow down and de-stress. I don't let things get me down as much, yes I have off moments. I've started to sort my flat out though that'll take time. Oh and I cut the drinking right down too. I'm 55 by the way with a dodgy knee lol. Thank you for your videos. Very enjoyable especially the history ones

Thank you so much for this! I have been struggling with watching these RU-vid videos where the woman is walking in a serene forest (that apparently is in back of her home) and then goes in and makes a cup of tea and puts things she picked on her walk on her altar. All beautiful things but I don't live near the woods (although I am lucky to live about 45 minutes from a beautiful California Redwood Forest), and I rent a room in a house so have very limited space. Your video reminded me that everyone has something they can do to "live slowly". I really resonated with the tip about looking for "glimmers" in your life and de cluttering your space and saying "no" to things in your schedule. I always enjoy your videos and Lune Letters.

As an EMS worker, on my off duty days, is literally chill time and I don't even like being around people. Luckily, I have an apartment deck that is filled full of plant and overlooks a valley. It's so wonderful listening to the hawks and ravens that fly overhead.

Some great ideas if only we could all live a slow magical life, I think everyone would be much happier and the world would be a better place. Thanks for your video.

As always, a brilliant video! I live with mental health struggles so trying to make sure that the stress of life doesn't overwhelm me is really important. I like to use my five-minute walk to the bus stop to just breathe and feel the air and say hello to the world. My bus journey to work is only about 20 minutes but I use that time every day to read. It's amazing how many books I get through just reading in that short space of time. Another thing I do every evening when me and my husband get home from work is to have a cuppa and rant about about our day. We both find it helps to get it all out so we can actively enjoy our evenings. I also use the phrase, "That's tomorrow's business." It means just that - put that thing or that thought or that task out of your mind if it's something that will be/can be done tomorrow. It really helps me focus on the now and not tomorrow.

I love the idea of glimmers! My time walking our dogs is a great time to see those things unusual things that happen all around us. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!

Great video! I work and have two kids and little and often is sometimes the only way I can do it. I bless my coffee first thing (stir it clockwise and declare I'll have a positive day.) I read tarot at a space I set up for lost family members if I get time and I love making sleepy tea (camomile, passionflower, lavender and vervain). Whenever I have more time I read (loving Witches and Vardo!), spend longer meditating and yoga. It's worked wonders for my mental health!

Hi Luna, really great video. I’m ’privileged’ in that I’m semi-retired, with my own smallish business and I work from home in the West Country. My problem is intention, or lack of it. So, this week, following your video, my plan is to make those special times happen and to journal. I’ve even bought a new pen! Many thanks, as always.

Im cusp millennial and remember life prior to smartphones and nonstop social media, boom of early 00s. I realized a bit ago that for me, being glued to a phone or computer is a bit of an addiction but i could be in control how much time i give to it. I want more quiet? Well then i need to put down the phone and stop scrolling! I love tech, im a nerd but i believe in balance and humans need balance. We need to disconnect from tech even if a few minutes a day. Be in the body in the moment. Ground in nature and creativity. Charge in spiritual. Release in body motion and rest. Use tech as tools to help, not control over oneself.

Read the Dali Lana. And Rich Na Than. Living in the moment is paramount. Here's a current life trick that you can do in 5 mins and nobody but you can tell! Find a song you know. I use instrumentals. Listen to the music and try to concentrate on each note and be surprised by the next nite even though you heard it 1000 times before. You go to just to the present. When you perfect it, you can do it on the train, on the pot or in the garden. If you walk, I have some quiet gong techniques.

I’m an elder millennial. I love this wave of slow living. I think a lot of us find it appealing after watching so many massive layoffs at work for two decades with companies always finding new reasons to say they need to cut back. Why did we all grind out each day so hard without any financial guarantee. Better to focus on time for enjoyment, less on climbing the ladder for money. Time is not infinite but the c-suite cutting back employees while keeping their bonuses is. One change I’ve made in my busy day is before task switching trying to pause and take at least 5 deep breaths. This helps me to keep my brain from feeling like it’s spinning without thought from one thing to the next.

Do you also have a separate room that you can turn into your office? .Then you don't have to cleane everything up and that also gives you a lot of peace in your mind! ; when you close the door.

I'm kinda new to your channel (loving it btw), but what do you do as your 9-5 from home? I'm curious cus I'm trying to work out getting into something like that myself, and I'm needing info/inspo, I suppose. If it's too personal to ask, I apologize, but I'm intrigued.

As long as money is the deciding factor in the quality of life and profit is the prime directive, there will be no slowing down for the mass majority of people. Capitalism has us all.

Lovely gentle person Luna you appear to be ready for non-duality. I wonder have you looked into this? Plenty of stuff on RU-vid and I would recommend "Awake" by Angelo DiLullo. But hey I'm sure you're happy as you are. Love.

It's so frikkon nice to hear someone being real on RU-vid. It all depends on where you're at in life. Sometimes having a stable 9 to 5 and having the income promotes peace and security. Especially if you came feom a chaotic or property upbringing.

Pretty sure your ancestors weren't wearing piercings, everybody can tell that you're just doing it for the aesthetic. Follow a real religion.
@Lunaleodrune

stfu and leave me alone. Pretty sure piercings have been worn all over the world for thousands of years, and my 'aesthetic' has nothing to do with the path I follow. This video is not even about religion either. What a sad loser you have to be to comment this on someone who has dedicated all of their time and effort into trying to make positive videos for people.
