Luke 24:47 Jesus said that Repentance and the forgiveness of sins to be preached in his name would begin in Jerusalem and this happens in Acts 2. When they asked Peter " What must we do"? Peter told them to " Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins", so repentance and baptism is something that you MUST DO!! In Acts 17:30 it says, " God command all men everywhere to repent" and we see that baptism in the name of Jesus, water baptism is a command in Acts 10:47-48, so must we obey the commands of the Lord? In 1 John 2:4 it says that if you do not obey his commands you are a liar and have not the truth, but yet GES says you do not have to obey his commands, you can be a liar and have not the truth and still be saved.....

How to go to Heaven. Believe(also means to trust) on Jesus Christ(who is Lord and God). Believe and trust that Jesus alone will save you. You can also be saved by Jesus alone if you believe and trust that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day which is according to the scriptures. Jesus’s death on the cross and shed blood is justification(to make right/forgive) of all your sins.

You left out repentance. Jesus said we must humble ourselves and Repent to have forgiveness of sins.

You guys are saying repentance is turning from sin? Isn't that what free grace rejects? You guys always confuse me. You say the righteous don't need to repent. Jesus says there is none righteous...

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us". Be careful very very careful, sounds like a sinless perfection repentance 😢😢😢

That verse applies to those who are to self righteous to admit they need to repent. Read the next 2 verses for context.

Lukes gospel is written for unbelievers. John's gospel is written for already repented believers. Amplified Bible Luke5:32 I did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness].” Yes Jesus says repentance is required for the forgiveness of sins. Luke 24:47 and that repentance [necessary] for forgiveness of sins would be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

@2Chronicles714_ You're a sinner . So am I and every mere human . How many sins did Jesus Judicially Propitiate ? Some , or all of them ? Why do you sin at all ? How much sin that you - Personally - commit , will disqualify you for entrance into His Kingdom ? When you sin , do you Lose/Forfeit Temporary /Conditional/ Probationary "life" , or Eternal/Everlasting Life ?

@soljos1190 Thae fact that we are hopeless sinners is exactly why we must humble ourselves acknowledge that we are sinners and change our minds [Repent] about our sinfulled life's and turn to Jesus as Lord and Savior as those verses say. When I sin I go to the cross and confess my sins to Jesus asking for forgiveness. (1 John 1:9)
