Is my valve body going bad again 

My transmission wont go to the next gear ratio when getting up to highway speeds. My rpms will just scream until I drastically let off the accelerator then it may pop into its highway gear. Think that's a valve body issue or a fluid issue?

@@bretearwood7027 sounds like a bad solenoid for the gear you need, but yes contaminated fluid or not enough fluid to create hydraulic pressure will make it shift poorly or not at all.

My transmission used to upshift like his now it jerks when shifting and upshift really slow it has to go to high rpm to shift. Is it the valve body?

@@advise1908 no I never figured it out lol there's a fix for that issue tho I never tried it because I hate working on transmissions

thats what mine did take it to the vw dealer and they will fix it up good as new

they keep trying to sell me a $5K transmission instead of fixing it.

all you need to do is fix the valve body not the entire transmission they are rediculous

at least I know what it is now, they wouldn't even tell me, guess for fear I will fix it elsewhere. Sadly hardly anyone works on them, looking at the replacing of the valve body seems easy, how do you find the transcode/type? and I can get a used Trans from the local salvage yard for $145...price for new valve body is around $300.

I got the same issue My mechanic went to a junk yard to get one use for 100 bucks and he charge me 150 total labor! Now it is running like brand new

All you need is new solenoids not a whole valve body.
