Today I'm going back playing some Polygon, a free to play tactical fps game that was released on Steam back in 2020. This is a pretty snappy fps game, and could be considered to be one of those underrated shooters out there. So let's talk about how it feels to play Polygon in 2024!
Hi im a regular player of polygon (500h) and the only important problem if you're not used to indie games (btw it's developped by one person) is the lack of update, there are maybe 2 or 3 updates a year and a lack of content. Once you maxed out all the guns and finished the battle pass, the game is kinda boring, since leveling up takes a very long time at the end of the game. Also I hear lots of bad reviews about cheaters but there are really not a lot compared to other games like battlefield or cod, plus you can report them very easily, with proofs, on discord and they get banned instantly by staff.
Thanks for your feedback! Yes, it makes sense that it's harder to make consistent updates and add new content, since indie studios usually are quite small, compared to a AAA studio.
honestly, the main problem i've seen in the game is team making and the sniper being practically worse thank the marksman rifles if you have decent aim, since it can only oneshot with headies, other than that, i love how the ironsights are slightly uncomfortable so it makes sense to get a sight even if it doesn't give augmentation, tho lanterns make no sense for now
@@Random-Content990x No, I believe the game has more player value than that, meaning I do think you'll have fun with the game more than just a couple of days.
Polygon is a very good game, the battlefield for those with low-performance PCs. I find it better than Battlebit, easier and more in line with the low-poly philosophy. However, there are very small number of players 😢
This was a good review indeed with all important parts covered! It was also good to see you play as a brother sniper on the battlefield - snipers are usually hated by most 'parkour' players (and on the official Polygon discord for that matter 😅), but it's my favourite playing style. I only wish more people would join, for it's truly a fun little romp to waste some time... Thanks for the enjoyable upload, and maybe spot you in my sights across Valley some day! 😉🫡
Thanks for your comment and feedback, appreciated! Yes, I've had my shared part of complaints myself when it comes to playing as a sniper in various games. Polygon included. Some players have a hard time getting killed by a one shot weapon (or close to a one shot), meaning a sniper. They rather get sprayed by a smg close up instead, since it it's most likely the same style of a weapon they're using themselves, lol.
Not 100% sure...One guy posted a somewhat "simple solution" saying; restart your computer, try to open the game again. You might have to relogin into steam, since you could be offline. I read that some Steam users has had the same kind of problems, but this kind of fixed it.
I love this game because I have a low end, and I’m also a content creator, cod is trash now, battlefield don’t work, and I can’t find better games like this game, and I’m good at it, and I love it, I plan on making videos on this game. It reminds me of battlefield, cod, and civil war the movie and I love it!
