Precious is a FREE AGENT, we don’t have matching rights. We match a contract offer but Precious can choose to take it or leave it.

What do you think about Jamarion Sharp as a possible backup center for Mitchell Robinson? 7’3 ¾" w/ a 7’9” wingspan and 9’10” standing reach, Sharp is among the most prolific shot-blockers in recent NCAA history (career 17.3 BLK%). Jamarion led the NCAA in block percentage the last two seasons, and finished 2nd in the stat to current Jazz C Walker Kessler 3 years ago. He's only 22, as well! He also recently played for the Dallas Mavs summer league and averaged 3 Blocks per game in only 15 Minutes per game. ALSO, much cheaper contract than Jericho Sims is on, so I think the numbers work out. Could he be the guy to answer our backup center woes? His height would bolster us there a lot, and with Precious, Hukporti, AND Mitchell Robinson, we'd be more than set. Possible? Crazy? IDK. I like his game.

My NYK’s have decided to follow the LA Rams mantra of “F$#K Those Picks”, so it shouldn’t be much of a stretch to move off of another pick if needed to acquire Kessler. Kessler would eventually allow you to move off of the injury guaranteed Robinson. Same goes for Nick Richards. He would eventually replace Robinson do to some injury, and at some point be the frontline 5.

My understanding, Utah didn’t want Deuce. They want picks, particularly one 1st rounder.

If Kessler has built some sort of chemistry with Bridges, Brunson & Hart from the Olympic squad last year, I think it is worth trading a 1st to snag him. He is a perfect Thibs type center and could thrive in NY
