@piddy3825
@piddy3825 11 месяцев назад
The metal in the water is a result of particulates in the air. Those particulates accumulate and are bound up in the rain drops. Has nothing to do with the metal devices in your system. Its directly proportional to the air quality in your region. I'd definitely recommend putting the reverse osmosis filter in your drinking water, just for the peace of mind if for no other reason than that.

Trust and believe rain water is cleaner than the water you would get out of any municipal tap if you tested it you would go insane and never Trust the analysis that would be provided by city officials for liability issues they would straight up lie to you going to a independent lab like I'm sure you did will give you a non bias report growing up on a farm back in the day with well water and believe me this was hard water you could taste the minerals in it but it wasn't determental to your health but putting the outhouse 20 feet from the well is a whole new set of issues grandpa's a silly goose 😀

Since you're drinking rain water, the metal may be coming from power plants and factories. The main cause of mercury content in Florida lakes is due to atmospheric deposition. The exhaust from factories and power plants contains metals which are carried into the atmosphere, then they are released and fall to earth when it rains. These factories are required to scrub their exhaust to get rid of the metals, but it is not 100 percent.Maybe something like that is happening with rain water in your area

Stupid me, I agreed to hook up to town water cap my artesian well and now in May 2023 I'm sorry I ever listened to the water department and should have kept my well. How about an orange juice stain on the counter somewhere to make the fest of us feel better. The trace amounts of metal come with the rainwater. It is pollution absorbed into the clouds and returned with the rain. Not an uncommon occurrence especially with areas that burn coal for electricity. Not a real issue unless the start to rise in count.

Also for stuff like coliform testing, you've got to transport your water to a lab within 24 hours for the test to be valid. It was still incredibly informative and I was relieved to know I didn't have any heavy metal contamination. But seriously, RO filters have gotten way cheaper than they used to be.

We did our test 2 months after the system was setup and we are going to do another test in a year to see if it improves. The water is safe and tastes great, I just thought like you guys did that it would be more pristine. Metal particles always get picked up by rain water on roof and gutters. It worsens over years. If you have the right filtration to reduce, you will be okay. Plastic particles do the same over time. Frustrating door keeps failing. The mfg may not have to tooling to make or the knowledge to make a jig to customize. It all starts with the hole you cut. Enjoy your long weekend.

I know an organic farmer who has been farming organically on his land for years and years and now has aluminum in his soil when it is tested. How did that get on an organic farm? From the air, perhaps?
@scanadaze
@scanadaze 11 месяцев назад
@brittanyhayes3056 nope. They spray it in our air, none stop. Weather warfare programs. Done by NASA, coperate, military. With the information being out since the 1800's. People still don't want to believe it. It's what is coming out of the aircraft. Not fuel. Those engines use air as fuel. They are called forced air ram engines. Do your own research. Stop talking to none stop friends and family. Do research.

Love you guys. As usual, you're handling adversity like the champs that you are, with the 3 times is NOT a charm door fiasco. Sometimes these hardware and construction box stores totally miss the mark on quality customer service. I certainly hope you guys are registering complaints with the companies with whom you placed the order. Cabin's looking good.

I live out in the country on the farm I grew up on. I use the same well with no filter system and as far as I know the water has never been tested in the 60+ years since my grandpa first bought the farm. My grandpa owned the farm before my father bought it from him. I don’t think he ever tested the water either. My water taste better than any water I’ve ever tasted.

@@JohnADoe-pg1qk well I guess if your testing the water from tank and it’s filter action system only yes you would. Otherwise no. But you do need to clean that part periodically.

We've been drinking rainwater from a pond for 22 years. It's great! Pond water systems are common around here where the well water is sulferized, really crappy tasting and hard on plumbing. We have building codes to abide by and our system consists of a floating pond filter (filter 3 feet below the surface) to catch the big stuff, a five micron initial filter and one micron final filters. In addition, thre is a sand filter, a charcoal filter and an iodine injection system that put about .9 ppm iodine into the water just ahead of a pair of 400 gallon "soak" tanks to kill any bacteria. We test the water about every other year and haven't failed a test yet.

Alexapure water filters cost almost half as much as the Berkey and they even filter out the poisonous fluoride. The Berkey makes you buy a separate filter to remove fluoride. I bought one about 4 years ago and the taste of our water is fantastic. The house is coming along great, and I love watching every one of your videos.

💁🏻‍♀️I am Glad that y’all have your wood burning stove now!😁! Now your going to need a wood shed and Start Collecting the wood as Soon as y’all can! Get as Much as y’all can! This way you’ll have Enough throughout the next winter! Maybe you can design and build it so that you’ll keep the snakes out and any other creepy crawlers such as spiders! Maybe a Nice wire metal (one that doesn’t get rusty) screen all around and over, where the wood can dry properly, yet those dangerous kind of bugs can’t crawl through the screen.😁. Or make the wood shed out of Cedar wood because I heard bugs don’t like Cedar wood!😁. 💖Many Blessings to you Spencer, McKenzie and your Beautiful Children!

Excellent information on water and filtration. You guys are to be commended for your off grid lifestyle which takes very little time to reap those rewards. My wife and I live in a small coastal town in Georgia. Our city water is so bad, heavily treated, bad taste and odor, we deemed it undrinkable. After having it tested, it was rated at 41...We had an "artesian" well drilled (search it) which is under pressure because of the depth, free flows and no need of filtration. Yearly testing averages 81...We installed a minimal solar powered pump for extra pressure...It was an expensive undertaking however, but worth every penny...Water at the well is a sparkling 54° wonder and we have "no dry skin" 😎

You guys are making really good progress on your cabin. As for your water situation you seem to be doing really well I can agree with someone before me and that is getting another one or two cash to back yourself up so you have plenty of water. You seem to run low last year because of the drought and now things are back up to where they could be. It never hurts to be safe. Two kids who are two falling around with each other and playing and having a good time that is cool! Be safe and have fun and never forget to smile!
