I hope he takes it slow and improves after every fight. No parties, drugs, or alcohol. I think he has a future. If not, he can always play Squidward in a live action SpongeBob movie.
@@beaualoevv you must have a really sad life to be throwing so much shade and hoping for so much negative onto an 18 year old who is actively and literally fighting for his dream.
@@Last_Chance.Yeah. He literally has the word sad tatted on his neck. And he looks like he could pass for a female. He might have transitioned. That explains all the female like tendencies and emotions
Chael's right again! Don't want to burn out before your body has peaked. It takes years to toughen your body/bones for a contact sport. Its a tricky spot for a young athlete to be in for sure.
@@herbert-taylor what place? Yeah everybody gets humbled, except jon, but to say that specificaly about a young kid, thats a little hatey you have to admit 🤣
@@Ton12 Everyone said the same thing about Sage Northcutt. Guess where he is? In One championship getting knocked out and taking 4-year breaks between fights.
@@ramiro7130watch MMA long enough and you'll start seeing the pattern. He is right. Eventually, most people like Rosas take a bad beating unless they become very humble early.
I live in Portland, the metro where chael lives.. I’m not gonna tell the story about meeting him because I feel like it would set an expectation. But know this, the man is GENEROUS. Like more than you would believe.
I love the philosophy of work harder and smarter. But if he really is trying to be a three division champion if he can pull it off that will be history cuz no one's ever done that. But you're right, it's hard to stay motivated and win when technically you're still growing into your body but like you said we are in uncharted territory so we can only watch and see what happens. The Kid got heart and skill. It's all about managing the gas pedal. What? We'll see what happens.
@@AXharothI think someone may be able to be a 3 division champ, but it's only possible at the lighter weight classes where there's less wear and tear on the body, and even then it's going to take some extreme luck. Like when Conor was champ champ, he could have gotten lucky and won the 170lb belt. Like when TJ Dillishaw had the injured shoulder, and fought anyway, that type of thing. But the more I think about it, you're probably right. It isn't going to happen, it's really a 1-in-a-million odds situation. So technically it could happen, but yeah it's probably not going to happen
i agree about lighter weights but for different reason , the weight gap is smaller between lower classes , the gap from 155 to 170 is when things start to get awful , the gap goes to 15p @@RonniePTexan
When he's 28 years old, he will have been a fighter for 12 years... What might that look like? If I were in his position, I would go balls-out for success. "The future's uncertain and the end is always near" ~ Jim Morrison
Chael has dropped some ABSOLUTE gems over the videos, here are 3 of them that I've noted down (including one from this video). "If you ever go into a contest, and you find yourself more worried about the outcome, forgetting that the most important thing is the performance...you're going to have a problem." - Chael Sonnen "There's never a time in life where you will go far enough, if you're not willing to go too far." - Chael Sonnen "You'll hear people tell you, 'everything in moderation', you won't hear a winner tell you that. Nothing in moderation. If it's worth doing, it's worth over-doing." - Chael Sonnen
Some people thought he looked good his last fight… I saw a dude winging punches with his chin held high. He’s ready to get KO’d badly when he steps up in class.
@@omarisawesome1996 Doesn't mean OP is wrong. Catching someone with a haymaker that you're throwing from your hip will finish most people. It will also get you knocked the fuck out more often than not against better strikers.
Said it before. The fact that he lets his homies convince him to go to the after party, when he clearly wasn't thinking about that, means he's going to be done real soon.
The question will be, would that lead him to just getting his ass whooped, or will that lead him to legal troubles that might derail his career before it even starts
Raul can say whatever he wants. I'm definitely not buying into it. He's ahead of his time in one aspect of the game and I can't see how it's going to end well. But we'll see.
yes rushed fosho but you cant blame him 100% viewing his age and the euphoria it brings with considering the talent but mainly how the media evolves a lil bit enhancing fighters so fast and well
To all the concern trolls: stfu. You diddnt say this to cameron saiman when he finished mitchell in less impressive fashion. This was a dope win and hes improved.
1.I know it's not the same level of competition In 2014 When Dricus Du plessis was 20(only 4-0) he was booked to fight for a championship, he did very well, he was winning the fight, but then got caught into a guillotine and got the of his 2 losses.... I always felt that he was too young for a title shot But he learned so much from that loss than he ever did from any other fight.... He went on to be Champion 2 years later and 2 more different titles all within 5 years So I don't really know if I can say he was rushed anymore 🤷♂️ These things just work out if they are meant to
No such thing. Take opportunities and make the most of them. You only get one chance, and you don't stay going forever. Go make your money and have fun, kid!
I understand Rojas is young and ambitious and trying to stay confident....but something about him rubs me the wrong way. I don't like his attitude, little to cocky.
He looks like Jeff Dunham's "Jalapeño on a Stick" with that giant jaw & no upper lip. Of course he's being pushed through, too fast. He still lives with his parents... he's a young boy with nothing to lose
He's extremely arrogant and I look forward to seeing him lose a couple and get humbled. That being said, he is not really rushing it because he really hasn't fought anyone yet.
Before his loss he said i want to fight next week, but after when he won he said im going to talk to my family team and manager. So hopefully they let him develop.
I personally think that he should do what he can to make as much money as possible before he hits 30, and then retire. Too many guys stay in the UFC and waste their days trying to reclaim glory that they had 10 years prior.
He needs to grow, take things slow and focus on his strengths and weaknesses, elevate his game plans. He can become the greatest competitor and champion if he goes out and seek to learn from the UFC greats, like Jon Jones, GSP, Khabib, DC etc. He could become a machine if he's will to grow, be discipline, be focused and be ready.
Lol he looks like he could be the brother to that female fighter that wears the Chinese looking hat during walkout with one eye that goes to the side please some tell me her name lol. I think it's jandobra or something. She's Brazilian I think.
