I honestly feel like you can connect with your pal better than connect to your Pokémon. Being able to work alongside them and ride them helps.

I believe Palworld was the full potential of Legends Arceus. If L:A had following Pokémon, real time battles, crafting, proper bases, and hunger; how different would its gameplay loop be from Palworld without guns and Sanity?

One thing I've noted- you can't kill them, but if you switch out pals, they totally can. Ring of Mercy for some reason only applies until you switch. Don't know if it's a glitch or intended, would make a degree of sense if it was intended since you still want to be able to kill the factions 99.9 times out of 100 (the .1 being the rare time when PIDF is nearby to take them out).
