IS SAKURA SARADA'S MOM? || SHE'S LOOKING FOR SASUKE! || Boruto REACTION: Episode 19. This Boruto reaction Sarada questions Sakura and wants to know why Sasuke isn't around. She asks about him, and Sakura doesn't even know if he wears glasses or not. Sakura says she doesn't know and avoids questions. When Sarada presses the issue more, Sakura gets mad, punches the ground, collapsing the house in the process. Sakura then fainted, and Sarada saw the picture of Sasuke there was a girl who wore the same glasses. She asked if Sakura was really her mom, and she felt she was still being lied to so she is going to look for Sasuke herself!

*Fact* :In the manga, Sakura knows everything about Sasuke's mission, and she cannot tell Sarada because it is a top secret mission and only those of high rank know it. Also, canonically they communicate by letters and she knows what Sasuke is doing and where he is. But as always, studio Pierrot decided to change that, I suppose to create more drama

@JJ Kingman Yeah the anime didn't really change anything for Naruto Gaiden. We already know they communicate by letters cause in the Sasuke Shinden (animated in Shippuden which they did switch this part up a little) she writes the letter to Sasuke at the end, not Naruto

Lil tidbits: - In the light novels, Itachi also had similar symptoms as Sarada when he saw the 3rd World War and the Demon Fox attack (blurry vision/eye pain) - It is implied that Sasuke was there when Sarada learned how to walk, as shown briefly in the ending. - That photo of Akatsuki Sasuke was given to Sakura by Karin.

You know Sakura is an adult who works very hard at the hospital, she has to take care of Sarada as well and the fact that Sasuke is not at home doesn't really help her. If put yourself in Sakura's shoes you understand that she must have suffered a lot from this situation and with Sasuke's absence. She knows everything abt his mission which top secret so she cant tell sarada abt it. She's already stressed out and her own daughter doesn't help her w questioning her relationship w Sasuke so ofc she will get mad.

FYI : Sarada has specs bcoz when she was small she had a very high fever ,Sakura being a Medic treated her but after that fever she couldn't see properly. Sakura can't tell Sarada about Sasuke because he is on a top secret mission and he is always out of village bcoz he only knows how to protect the vilage from outside , therefore the "Shadow Hokage" Title. And Sakura understands and respects him and the missions so she knows she has to takecare of Sarada on her own because Sasuke's job is very difficult, but he trusts his wife to handle it otherwise he would be alone with no Home (Sakura and Sarada) to come back to.

Sasuke came back to the village when saradas was about 5 or 6 years old. There's a novel series that fill the holes in the anime (sakura,sasuke,naruto and kakashi retsuden) you should read. Actually he just stopped comimg home because of this mission and that's why naruto is sorry for keeping them apart

And after this mission( in naruto retsuden )they come back to the village to save naruto because he was sick. Unfortunally i didn't find naruto retsuden complete. Btw in the manga there's a scene where sasuke is in the village and gets this mission that's happening in boruto.

You know, Sasuke is ignoring Sakura too, not just Sarada. Sakura being adult hides all her pain inside. She tries her best to be somewhat good mother for Sarada and medic for the village. She has her reasons to act like she does. She probably didn't discuss Sasuke to not remind herself and her daughter about him. That usual thing, when person thinks obscuring information would help, but it backfires. Sarada intensively asking about Sasuke is like pouring salt over the wound for Sakura. It's not surprising that all that emotional load that Sakura keeps inside has broken through for 1 second. Sakura isn't perfect, but hating her for what happened this episode is like hating Boruto for being angry at Naruto.

For real, if anything this is all Sasuke’s fault for leaving Sakura all by herself with a kid. Children are bound to ask questions if something feels off but what the hell is Sakura supposed to say? She already said he’s on a special mission and it’s the truth. She can’t answer the rest of her questions because she genuinely doesn’t know because Sasuke is always away. I guess the realest answer she could say to Sarada is “Sasuke is a shitty excuse of a father who probably never cared about me so I guess that goes for you to kiddo.” Seriously, why the hell would she want to ruin’s Sasuke’s reputation to his own kid? Sakura had all the right to be mad at that moment because here she is doing her best to be a single parent, and somehow she’s getting the blunt end of the stick having to face these questions and Sarada’s making it appear like she’s insufficient. Even still, she doesn’t blame Sarada for asking those because she understand her, that’s why she snapped back real quick and apologised to her. Quite frankly, this is all Sasuke’s fault.

This is the correct answer. Sakura can’t just explain to her 12 year old kid how dysfunctional their family are. Especially her past with Sasuke. Sarada would quite literally question her existence and end up asking more questions, probably hating both her parents in the process.

if they tell the people, that Itachi was a hero, then that makes the entire Clan is villianized, which means Sasuke, Sakura and especially Sarada would be shunned. and would lead to yet another Itachi situation. keep Itachi as the villain, and the Uchiha can rebuild without the shame of their predecessors.

Idk, I felt like Sakura was justified in her anger towards Sarada. It’s one thing to question where your father is and why he’s been gone. It’s another to disrespect the one person who’s provided for you your entire life and demean her by asking “Are you even his wife?” Essentially questioning if she’s even her mother. Regardless if biological blood or not, if she cared for you for 12+ years on her own, she is most definitely your mother. Idk, that’s what I saw it as. Sarvesh Nathan I mean to each their own. Like I said, I understand the frustration on both sides. I would personally never say that to my mom as I think it discredits her struggles. But she’s a kid so you know.

I agree, Sarada wasn’t wrong in asking those questions but she was out of line by saying that to her mom, although Sakura clearly has her own faults I can see that she does care about her kid enough to have provided for her all this time on her own too.

Sarvesh Nathan If they weren't married Sakura couldn't call herself Sakura "Uchiha" or wearing the crest of the Uchiha clan, that would be disrespectful, also Sasuke call's Sakura "his wife" many times. But most important, Kishimoto confirmed that they are married.
