I think the reason why he didn't want pictures of him into trying with the pictures of Lacey was because he didn't want Amber to find out that way that he was married

I think its bc dna based evidence was a new thing during the OJ trial, and bc of the officer who found that dna evidence being a white supremacist, the case unfortunately became abt race rather than the murder. I 100% believe if it had occured now, OJ wouldve been found guilty. it was pretty obvious it was him.

Sofia Frias This is what I think of when I think of the OJ case. He’s guilty, and he terrorized them. He abused Nicole and she was already living in fear of her life, and the man from the restaurant? Sorry, I can’t recall his name right now..but talk about an innocent bystander. It’s such an awful tragedy. I could not believe when he was found innocent, with the rest of the world. Oprah did a show when the verdict came out and some people were cheering. It always bothered me until I was old enough to understand. I saw some interviews from African American people saying they had been charged for things they didn’t do so many times, they were happy that someone was found innocent. I’m in no way saying that every African American person feels that way, or that OJ shouldn’t be rotting on death row, but I get it.

There’s a rumor on one of the docs about this that said Lacey was also having an affair, so it might’ve even been BOTH of them had fell out of love with one another but because she was pregnant decided to not get divorced. That would explain his callousness about the situation, not that he killed her but that this was a woman he almost looked at as a stranger because the love was gone...but even him admitting to that would’ve made people think he did it too so regardless I don’t think their marriage was as perfect as people made it out to be but you can’t tell the public that with your spouse missing.

I really hate that they think that it's weird when no one cries or shows any kind of emotion. My husband is the same way. He doesn't cry in public, but when he is alone, the water works flow. Doctors and therapists will say that everyone grieves differently, not that there was much for Scott to grieve about. Maybe he did it, maybe not. EVIDENCE: Laci's hair entangled in the pliers. The photo showing the indentation of a body laying on the bed. (Laci's torso was found with two broken ribs. Which suggests Scott sat on Laci and strangled her). Scott's blood spots found on same bed. The residue rings of 5 anchors in the warehouse. Only one anchor located. Scott claimed the missing concrete was used to repair his driveway. Fact: The concrete did NOT match that used for the anchors. Coincidentally when Laci's body was found, she was missing four limbs. Four missing anchors equals four missing limbs. Proof he used the anchors to weigh the body in the bay. SCOTT'S ATTEMPT TO DESTROY EVIDENCE; A tarp Peterson apparently used during his "fishing trip" was found drenched in gasoline in his shed. Another was covered with fertilizer. Both substances destroy DNA. CONFLICTING ALIBI; two neighbours testified that Scott said he was playing golf that day. (Their names are Amie Krigbaum's and Terra Venable). Which proves that Scott deliberately gave a false alibi on 24th of Dec. If he had nothing to hide, he had no reason to lie. MOTIVE: he didn't want children "I was hoping for infertility" said Scott. His affair with Amber Frey. "I lost my wife. This will be the first holidays without her" - stated TWO WEEKS BEFORE LACI'S "DISAPPEARANCE" (no more proof needed really). He admitted saying this on recorded phone calls with Amber. The very same day he told Amber "I lost my wife" Scott purchased his boat (in cash). Proof it was a premeditated murder. Circumstantial evidence is still evidence! Scott never told anyone he bought a boat. He wanted to sell his house and contents within weeks. He sold Laci's car. His behaviour proved that he knew Connor was never coming home; photos prove that he used the nursery as a storage room after claiming in an interview with journalist Gloria Gomez - that it was "too painful to go into that room". He said the door would remain closed. Liar!!! His behaviour proved that he didn't care about Laci; The call he made to Amber while at the vigil pretending he was in Paris. He ordered x rated porn channels. He relentlessly tried to maintain his relationship with Amber after the 24th of Dec. Not only that but his half sister Ann Bird witnessed Scott blatantly flirting with her babysitter (documented in a condemning book she wrote). His behaviour indicates he knew Laci was dead; The request for a breavement counsellor on Christmas Day less than 24 hours since Laci went missing. He referred to Laci in the past tense when being interviewed by Diane Sawyer "She WAS amazing". DISPOSAL OF BODY: His actions indicate he loaded her body in his truck; His excuse - "loading market umbrellas". The umbrellas he intended to store in the warehouse were still in his truck when he returned from his "fishing trip". Police state when they first searched the house, a large mat at the back door was folded up and pushed to the side. When they noticed this, Scott quickly unraveled the mat before the police could take a photo. Police concluded that Scott dragged Laci's body through the back door and into his truck. Which he had backed up into the driveway as witnessed by a neighbour. Fake concern for his wife upon return from "fishing trip"; He claimed he was worried when Laci didn't answer his calls at home or on mobile. And when he got home he noticed Laci's car in the driveway, the back door was open and the dog had it's leash on. So if he was that concerned or worried, why didn't he call her mobile again or call her Mum immediately. Instead the bastard ate some pizza, washed his clothes, had a shower and then called Sharon and said Laci was "missing". She was not missing. Laci was never missing!!! She was murdered by Scott Peterson.

Ok the fact that so many pregnant women went missing in that same area is really weird... and two men who followed her and then the two men at the grocery store... I’m leaning towards serial killers. I think Scott had trouble showing emotion because it was so crazy like for example in Gone Girl (ok it’s a movie but still) you think the husband is guilty but he’s just shocked... and 100% no to death penalty especially in this case with no direct evidence... like in the movie The Life Of David Gale... you never know for sure unless you were there and no one deserves to die with that uncertainty.

Laurie Healey alright chill out. You can obviously have an opinion but you cannot be shoving it into people’s faces and telling them to “go back inside your mother’s womb” if someone dares to disagree . It is the core fact that there is not enough physical evidence to convict him that puts me a little on the other side and when I found out about the (most probable) serial killer that I started having doubts about Scott’s guilt. However, it is obvious that he is a horrible man and didn’t care for his wife and child but his reactions alone are not enough to sentence someone to the death penalty.

The "dozens" of eyewitnesses reported seeing someone similar to Laci and McKenzie AFTER 10:30am. These reports are invalid because we know that the dog (McKenzie) was put back in the yard by a neighbour at approx 10:30am. That is why the Police didn't follow up on info! They weren't going to waste their time because they already knew the sightings could NOT be Laci. Also, the descriptions of what the unknown person was wearing, does NOT match the clothes found on Laci's body. Scott tried to set up a crime scene by putting the leash on McKenzie. Pity someone didn't put a leash on him before he had the chance to murder Laci. Bastard is GUILTY!!!

This case, to this day, still gets to me. I look at my 15 year old son and wonder what Connor and Laci would be doing right now. Sounds weird, I know but pregnant women are emotional and I was days from giving birth when she went missing so I just feel that connection to her. I remember crying when he was found guilty. Poor baby Connor and Laci.

@@KendallRae I listened to your thoughts with an open mind. And you make some valid points. What if? What if he isn't guilty? What if a serial killer was (maybe still is) on the loose killing pregnant women? What if the jury verdict was based purely on emotion? Emotions were certainly high surrounding this case and I do admit his guilt was portrayed early on by the media. Even before their bodies were found. To be honest, I don't know what I think. I feel in my heart he's guilty but there's that doubt there too. We can't assume how we'd act if our loved ones went missing. Maybe he's just a weird guy with strange emotional reactions to high stress events. In the end, though, I hope whatever the truth is, that it is discovered and the proof is 100% indisputable. The pliers with Laci's hair was found in his boat stashed under the seat, not in his house. That was key evidence in the trial. Also the two tarps he had for his boat were destroyed, one with gasoline and the other with fertilizer, both used to get rid of DNA. Too much of a coincidence that he happened to be out on the boat that morning fishing where her body turned up. Either he is a person that doesnt show emotion, or there is a really good chance that the cops rubbed these pictures in his face during an interrogation. They usually do that to get someone to feel guilty and confess. He may have already gone through his emotions on seeing those photos from seeing them several times. That combined with him not showing emotion even when his own life was at risk by death penalty, for me isn't a convincing factor that he is guilty. He most likely is, but this case did not have enough evidence in my opinion.

My opinions for both sides: Why I believe he’s guilty : - Was very suspicious ( Hiring cars to watch them search the river, not wanting to talk to reporters) - he went fishing on Christmas Eve, a day where you spend time with family..? - didn’t seem interested in having a family with her ( not wanting to touch her belly) - LYING a lot - The tool with her hair on it? - Not attending the memorial night - not showing any emotion when he saw her pictures and sons body pictures Why I find him NOT guilty: - he probably didn’t show any emotion when seeing the photos cos remember he didn’t love her anymore, he was cheating on her - there was no evidence of DNA or anything of him killing her ( how would he have killed her?) - witnesses saying they had seen her walking her dog and two men following behind ( remember this was a different witness ) and another witness saying she saw two men from the other side of the road? - 7 deaths in pregnant women during the time she was dead/missing - he could’ve been cheating on her even during she was pregnant maybe and was thinking about leaving her? - he probably didn’t want photos of him and her up on social media because he was afraid his ‘girl friend’ would see - you never know, the ‘two men’ or person who killed her, actually kept her body and threw it in that same sea of where everyone thought it would be to set him up? VERY interesting that so many pregnant women have gone missing over the years, in the same town Lacey lived in. I too was convinced that Scott was 100% guilty but after hearing some of those other details it really makes you think twice.. If that pregnant lady truly was approached at her work by the two men AND Lacey was seen the day of her disappearance being followed by two men speaking aggressively,(shut the f*cking dog up) then I'm really surprised that none of these details were covered more by media or presented as evidence by the defense... it does make you think that there was a serial killer or worse, baby snatchers that were killing and disposing of the mothers and tragically the babies diddnt survive the premature "induction". You mentioned that somebody had handled baby Connor bc of physical evidence and that makes me doubt Scott's guilt even further bc he didnt even want to feel Laceys tummy for baby kicks, so why handle a fetus??

And Scott's reaction was cold and wrong, but maybe it was partly because he was already in love with another women ( which is not an excuse for not grieving), but everybody reacts differently. That's the 50% of not guilty. The guilty 50% are based on him being at the bay in disguise while there was a search for Lacies body. He cared enough to be there. Why? Because he knew she was there and wanted to know if they go close to the place where she acually was.

I don't know it just seems most of the evidence is based in the fact that he didn't cry, and acted weird with the media, but we don't know if he went home and wept and we don't know what he did while he the was not on camera. and people act totally different around media and interviewers .

My biggest problem with this case is that I don't believe Justice occurred in this situation. I'm not saying that Scott didn't do it, because I don't know. I do not think that the prosecution proved he was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Also, it really bothers me that this case gained so much notoriety when Evelyn Hernandez, her unborn son and her five year old son Alexis went through a similar crime (I believe within a year of Lacey's disappearance). In my mind it is very possible that Evelyn and Lacey could have been murdered by the same person, and there have been other similar cases in the bay area. I think it is a failure of our justice system that the potential connection between these murders were not looked into, that accounts of pregnant women in Lacey's neighborhood being bothered by strange men in the area were looked over, there are just a lot of things that really bug me about this case.

This case just makes me so fired up because Evelyn's son Alexis has never been found, and there is a small (but very unlikely) chance that he might still be alive since his body was never recovered (as far as I'm aware). He would be around the same age as I am, so it sits close to home for me. If there's even a possibility that he's still alive after fifteen years of being missing I want the word to be spread about his, his mother and unborn brothers case. It is an injustice that Evelyn Hernandez and her sons case were overshadowed by Laci Peterson's disappearance. Who knows... if her case had as much media attention then maybe her son Alexis would/could have been found safe, and healthy. Or maybe he would have been found, period.

Lacy telling her mum that Scott didn't like doing affectionate things or holding her pregnant tummy? Telling his mistress that his wife was deceased prior to her death? Not wanting to be public? Not showing any emotion, but displaying the signs of lying? Lying to your mistress about being in Paris when you're at your wife's vigil? Changing your appearance and having knives, camping gear, shovels, ropes and $15,000 on you when arrested? If you were truly concerned or upset, you wouldn't do that shit. It just looks like a hunk of rotten flesh that I was told who it was. There's also people who literally don't allow themselves to cry or show negative emotion in public because it makes them look weak. (If someone were to be heartbroken and I was next to them, I wouldn't be able to feel the same emotion until I was around people who weren't. Kinda like how someone sucks up all the emotional energy, it's hard for another to express themselves.)

@@kjulie2372 I am 10000% certain he did it. I'm saying that eyewitness accounts are unreliable. I don't think anyone saw her walking the dog that day. She was already dead. I think Scott got clever. He let the dog out with her leash on to concoct his story that Laci took the dog for a walk and he left to go fishing. She presumably walked the dog every day, it would make the most sense for him not to have her doing something out of the ordinary. People are misremembering what day they saw her or they saw another pregnant woman walking a dog that morning. With his own DNA and blood type all separate from his mother. Reality is that abortions can go all the way up until full term in some instances meaning that's a baby who can react to their mother's voice and feelings, move around and experience being alive. To make the decision to end that life must indeed be one of the heaviest choices someone has to make as it is essentially deciding the individual inside of you who is half of you won't get to live. It's a horrible state of affairs and I'm conscious of the fact that it isn't something done lightly but that indeed is what it is. I know people who's parents considered abortion meaning they wouldn't be here enriching my life if they had gone ahead with that which is heartbreaking to think about. Usually the mothers voice is the only voice heard and the mother's life is the only one considered so in the same way we mourn Connor I mourn those babies who had no voice and didn't get a chance at life.

The police can't say that she was killed the 23rd because witnesses say that they saw her the 24th walking the dog within the normal amount of time that she usually did.. I wonder if police put the timeline together of how long it took him to get from the warehouse to the marina, because they could have more accurate time stamps, not to mentions those marinas usually have cameras... As for the other pregnant women, you said that 6 months after Laci disappeared there was an identical case... If Scott was arrested on April 13th, and that pregnant woman was found/disappeared the 6 months after then she would have been found in June.. and they should look to try to connect those two since it was so similar. I hate thinking that he is innocent, but I hate even more to see an innocent man in prison.. No one should have their life robbed of them because of emotional convictions, even if they are a POS. Speaking about the whole no emotion when seeing the crime photos.. People can disconnect themselves emotionally during trauma and suppress memories, emotions, etc. So assuming he IS innocent, if he found out that she and Connor were dead he could have done that and when looking at the photos thought inside "those aren't real" so as to not face reality mentally in a sense- just as if you were to see a horror film in a way. Like you said, when a pregnant woman dies the pressure of gases build up and she ends up having a postmortem birth aka postmortem fetal extrusion. They should have brought in a mortician or a forensic anthropologist because (in today's science world) we know that the baby would have been essentially preserved within the amniotic fluid until expelled therefore leaving him in better condition since he was protected by fluids and his mother.. These instances can happen days after the woman dies, so if she was killed on the 24th, like suspected, and they are guesstimating that the baby was "alive" until the 29th, it would likely be that the baby was expelled about 3-5 days after death.

All you saying he's guilty because of his lack of emotions...it isn't as uncommon as you think. There is no rulebook on how to grieve. There was another case kind of similar to this one where the husband's wife went missing and he not only was unemotional but he did weird things like mow down his wife's flowers in the front garden, shit like that. He went to prison for the crime due to WHAT? MEDIA CONVICTION. And years later after he was serving life, they did a DNA test that wasn't available at the time and they found he was 100% not guilty.
