How does the test work?
The same amount of oil was 3x heated up to 250 ° C with a stream of hot air at 550 ° C.
The oil sample is always at the same distance from the heater. The oil temperature is measured by a professional standard laboratory thermometer.

Why do I heat the oil to such a high temperature?
I want to show the limit possibilities of oil, where the oil loses its properties, and oil begins to precipitate pollution and settle on the walls of the engine. It is similar temperature to that prevailing in the engine, e.g. in the upper part of the piston. The fact that the temperature sensor in the engine shows 90 ° C does not mean that the entire engine has the same temperature.
How to assess the oil condition after the test?
10 - very good
1 - poorly
I will give only one value. I take into account the degree of oil blackening and the amount of dirt on the walls of the tube. The blacker the oil, the stronger the smell of burning.
