Are you considering launching a business in China as a foreigner? If so, you've landed on the right video. It's crucial to get advice from those who have actual experience running a company in China. Many foreigners living in China aren't qualified to offer practical advice, as they lack this experience. Moreover, the internet is rife with outdated or misleading information about doing business in China:
1. Often, people who ask questions about starting a business in China end up consulting the wrong individuals. Not every foreigner living in China has experience running a company there, making them unqualified to offer practical advice.
2. The internet is flooded with misinformation about doing business in China. Much of this information is either outdated, impractical, or simply false.
3. Despite facing some economic challenges, China remains a global leader in production, accounting for 28.4% of the world's total. This makes it an excellent location for starting a business, especially in the world's largest manufacturing economy and leading exporter of goods.
4. One of China's most significant advantages is that it doesn't require any initial investment from company owners who wish to relocate and run their businesses there. This is in contrast to other developed countries like South Korea, which requires a $100,000 USD investment from each foreign investor, or the U.S., which demands an investment ranging from $150,000 to $800,000 USD for a company-based work visa (L1A/B, EB5 categories). Japan also requires a minimum investment of $50,000 USD from each company owner.
5. China ranks as one of the safest countries for both living and doing business, particularly when compared to most Western countries.
6. The school curriculum in China is highly focused on academic subjects, preventing the introduction of extraneous or controversial ideas. This ensures that children are not influenced by any unconventional ideologies from their teachers.
7. There are numerous other benefits to starting a business in China, making it a compelling option for entrepreneurs.

You should talk about the costings of opening a Company in China and costs of maintaining the company .
@jrandfirmllc
@jrandfirmllc 11 месяцев назад
Cost of opening depends on what exactly you need from the agent. If it’s just a company registration, then the market price right now (Oct. 2023) is around 5000 yuan. If you include bank account, tax registration and customs and foreign currency permits, then the starting cost will be around 10,000 yuan and up, depending on what licenses you need, type of taxpayer your company is etc. I don’t discuss costs partly because they are volatile and highly dependent on various factors and the specific requirements and needs of each client.

As a foreigner you also need a working visa to open a company, I have heard many times that to have a visa under your own company as a foreigner is very difficult. Even with a permanent residency, you might not be able to open a business in China.
@jrandfirmllc
@jrandfirmllc 8 месяцев назад
No, everything you said is wrong. Visa has nothing to do with company formation. And with permanent residency you will have absolute freedom in terms of business and work in China. We do it on a daily basis, so it's not even a question to think.

@@jrandfirmllc thanks for clarifying, I feel like there is a lack of informations on those subjects here and every foreigner will have their own experience and share their own. There are so many elements that probably can still make the process difficult.

What if I am a teacher right now and want to open a business (Beauty saloon ) in Hangzhou ,will that affect my current visa and job ? I am thinking of opening beauty saloon with Chinese partner. When I say beauty saloon,I am thinking of doing eyelashes,nails , eyebrows and so on …. Thank you 😊
@jrandfirmllc
@jrandfirmllc 8 месяцев назад
Legally speaking, it'll be an illegal work in your situation. As Chinese work and residence permits are attached to one company (your current school) - visa sponsoring company. If you want to start a beauty saloon, you will need to switch to its work and residence permit, only after that can you do those activities you mentioned above.
@thedorra6671
@thedorra6671 8 месяцев назад
@@jrandfirmllc I understand,I saw your video about that topic. But if I leave the school and switch to business on my own , what visa status I will have util I get approved for business? And what if do not get approved?
@jrandfirmllc
@jrandfirmllc 8 месяцев назад
@@thedorra6671 usually the bridge visa is T visa, humanitarian (temporary stay) visa. But you might not need it, if you calculate the time well. The process looks like this: 1. Comlany formation is finished 2. Current comoany cancels your work permit 3. You apply for new work permit 4. Current comlany cancels your residence permit 5. You apply for a new residence permit based on your new work permit. In case of visa denial, you will be give likited time to leave the country or switch to other type of visa etc. You cannot appeal, as it doesn't exist in China. Therefore, it is recommended to hire a licensed agency, who can check everything and make sure the chances of approval are high BEFORE you do anything.

Do Foreigners open a manufacturing unit in China how much does it cost to start an electronic toy manufacturing unit.
@jrandfirmllc
@jrandfirmllc 11 месяцев назад
Certainly, there are numerous foreign-owned manufacturing WFOEs operating in China. The costs associated with establishing such an entity can vary significantly based on several factors, including the type of manufacturing involved, the region in which you intend to operate, and the size of the manufacturing facility, which directly impacts rental costs. It's important to note that manufacturing activities are permitted only in designated zones, further influencing the overall cost structure. To provide you with a more precise quotation, we would require additional details about your specific needs and objectives. As a general guideline, you can anticipate a minimum investment starting at approximately 80,000 RMB and upwards. For a tailored quotation, please feel free to email us at contact@jrandfirm.com with more comprehensive information about your project.
