thats the argument of why to use it yes. its just easier to work with but ultimately stellar tera is still very mid given how restrictive it is for everyone whos not terapagos.

That's kinda why I am using Stellar Arceus. I really don't like the mismatch between plate and tera, so having Stellar is really convenient because I don't have to swap teras every time I want to try something different.

Exactly. In the video, yes, it's functionally equivalent to the fire-type one, but what happens after the battle when you need a steel-type? You have to go to Medali, spend shards to change the type, and then change the item. With stellar, you just have to swap the item. Saves time and shards.

​​​​​​@@gamerstorm9822tbh if they did stellar legend plate arceus it would probably work like terapagos with the permanent stellar boost or just boost the move once like other stellar users. Regardless a super effective modest nature judgement does more damage than a timid life orb miraidon using neutral electro drift. It can use agility to outspeed most without investment as well as using calm mind to wall break. Arguably more broken than gen 8 zacian or mega rayquaza. The most terrifying thing about it is that, you cannot beat it defensively based on type. Yeah blissey and clodsire exist but, blissey is passive while clodsire doesn't take a judgement too well. The best way to beat it is to defeat it with koraidon. If arceus already has the boost then it dies if you don't have any speed boosts or if it is max speed evs and plus 1 so you can't even guarantee a kill with scarf or scale shot after it uses agility. Personally due to how tera even works, I think that either tera overrides legend plate and therefore is a bad option or, legend plate arceus is unable to tera or is locked to stellar tera if obtained through such an event.

As someone who has 999x of every shard because I play everyday, I’m not personally worried about it. But the amount of people who causally play or just come back for 7-Star raids who don’t have time to grind or don’t have enough Water Shards to change a single Pokémon is a real thing. Not everyone has the inventory or the time to grind for an hour or two before an events.

Or if we had the Legend Plate from PLA in SV. That'd be perfect for the Stellar Tera typing

That's what I'm saying! Plus...did nobody even play the DLC? There are shards EVERYWHERE in the terarium! I literally have hundreds upon hundreds of each shard in my bag that swapping them out isn't even a problem anymore. I'll take the added damage from matching tera type over a "be all end all" tera type that gives less damage output.

Is this just a problem for Arceus, or do all pokemon get a DPS loss when using Stellar? I already Stellar-ized my Azumarill, are they now lower-DPS when using Tera-boosted STAB Liquidation and Play Rough?

@@Aabicus It's a problem for all stellar Pokemon against a shield, because your move type will not match your tera type unless you use Tera Blast.

Stellar tera has no effect with Adaptability at all.

Situational. Frosmoth doesn’t take any super effective damage from Iron Bundle and you can Tera Steel to have the same resistances, but now you can use a Super Effective Steel Tera Blast against it. Not a “downside” but Stellar couldn’t provide that flexibility.

I've seen people say any pokemon with Contrary as its ability, or any pokemon with good coverage moves, and a good defensive typing like Hisuian Goodra. I havent really done much with stellar aside from making my arceus stellar when i got the shards to do so.

I thought Protein changes to one type everytime your pokémon is sent into battle in Gen 9, not with everytime you use a move.

@@matthewfoley7872 you’re correct, but I let the cat use a move that I want for it to change into and then I terrestrialize and it still remains that type. Like I have it use play rough for fairy then I stellar terra it’s still fairy. That’s what I meant.

The set given in the video wasn’t using a Fire move, so boosting Fire moves wouldn’t be relevant for that example.

Ignoring Super Effective seems incredibly silly, on top of Judgment being stronger than Tera Blast.

@@PKMNcast Stellar Tera-Blast is always super effective in a tera raid. Plus it boosts to 100 base power the same as judgement. You also still get 1.5 damage boost, the down side is it lowers your attacking stats. the only other thing is if you change your tera and plate that it will do more, as you get to keep the type and do 2.0x damage. But for people who don't have much time stellar tera works just as well.

I know it's always Super Effective, but just run Judgement and switch the Plates. Water being Super Effective against Fire, but also resisting Fire is beneficial as a Water-type (for example). Resistances are just as important as damage. Most Raids don't fail because of too little damage, most Raids fail because people are fainting.

The boost is specifically said to be infinite in raid battles.

Stellar tera type imo is great for Pokémon like H-Goodra, who have strong defensive typing, can use AV and have a diverse movepool. I got one from the DLC and it is ready to go in case I lack coverage from other built mons I have for raids

I would see zero point in using Extreme Speed. You could do 3 acid sprays, tera, then Judgment and do huge damage You could do three chilling waters, Tera, and judgment and control physical attack You could do three snarls, Tera, and judgment and control special attack None of those options need a neutral attack when you could be accelerating or helping the raid team

@@PKMNcast thats a bit harsh. I have every support needed built 2 if they have screens/multiple abilities. Solo’d every mighty. I just meant if I’m running around solo arceus is so strong he doesn’t even need tera to be 6 star raids.

Never said that. I end the video saying if you use Arceus a lot, then do it. My exact words “Unless you just love using Arcues for everything, and if that’s the case, go for it, but just understand that it’s going to be the same old llama god with a rainbow spinning around it’s head, and that’s worth it too.”
