I use a 5$ buck. It can handle 20a with a fan. Works great in parallel too if needed. Charged a 12v250ah many times using 3 in parallel at 40a. I just charge to 14v. The amp will hit zero when done. I charge smaller ones too, lile 32650 and other. Can set both amps & volt as i need. Got one on my 24v solar pumping out 14v to all my 12v fans & lights all over the house.

I have the red one branded as FOXSUR for about a year. I have used it to charge a 200ah lifepo4 battery with no issues. I try to charge with solar as much as possible though.

discovered that resistance is high with those battery clamps and these battery chargers are sensitive to resistance...so keep the charger charging the battery to 100% connection was secured by nut and bolt...and quick disconnects between battery and charger. a good solution for tolling motor/charger/battery.

Bought the 20 amp Li time charger...spent $94.00. It does a great job charging the 230ah battery I bought from them as well (about 3 hrs).. Wish I would have seen this video...probable would have went with the cheaper one and saved some money..

Charging a 230ah battery from empty to 100% should take 12-13 hours. Are you charging it up to 80%?

I'm thinking maybe you just like tapping on things to get your point across. Try tying your hands behind your back first then see if you can still talk.

How long does it take to charge 100ah Lifepo4 battery on those charges (10A) in comparison? Also how many watts they take on the input? Thanks

Hi, just got one of these over here in Japan for a 30ah LifeP04. Quick question, when the battery's full does it just display off and not full? Cheers

Both of my $25 units display full when done

Thanks. Once mine reaches 60%, it displays ' off' and comes on again repeatedly. I was wondering if it was part of the LiFe charging cycle. Had to go out so I turned it off to be safe.

Both extremely overpriced. You can get server power supplies converted to CC CV power supplies. 0-15V 0-50A and there is even one that is 0-15V 0-100A. The first one is about $60 shipped and the latter is $110 shipped. There is also a 0-100V 0-20A (0-15A on 120V circuit) charger for $110 shipped.
@PS-kq1ur
@PS-kq1ur 6 месяцев назад
But power supplies converted won't stop charging if the batt. is full, right?
@ericklein5097
@ericklein5097 6 месяцев назад
@@PS-kq1ur for the first two I mentioned yes, there is no current cut off at a certain point (typically 0.05C is the cutoff point) For the third one I mentioned I believe you can set a cutoff. I know the more expensive ZXD2400 (~$220 depending on which version you get, they have different displays) has a ton of adjustability and that includes current cutoff

What were the solar charge controllers in the white boxes that you use? And do you use those to charge the Lifepo4 batteries? Thanks.
@senselessfun
@senselessfun 8 месяцев назад
Those are Renogy 10A Wanderer controllers. They are great for small projects and not expensive so I keep a few on hand. Keep in mind that they are only rated for 130W solar input though. I use them for a small setup I have to keep my trolling motor batteries charged at the lake and things like that. Here is a link to them at Amazon from when I bought them last: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NPDWZJ7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

When my ATian charger plugged in and not connected to a battery, it displays the "OFF" stage, but the leads have a 17V charge. I am wondering if this is normal.
@senselessfun
@senselessfun 8 месяцев назад
I have a couple of them so I will test them in a day or two and get back to you. I wouldn't seem normal to have any charge showing when in off mode.
@senselessfun
@senselessfun 8 месяцев назад
I have done a test on 2 of my chargers and you are on to something. Mine showed 29V on one and 30V on the other in OFF mode. I have done an update to this video and posted it in the description and below. Thank you harleycharley01 for bringing this up because that could be a safety issue for those using these!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BkZPY6Ch4Xg.html

What does your LiTime charger do when the battery reaches 100%? My LiTime charger, charging a LiTime 100Ah battery, runs for a second or two than shuts off. It repeats this cycle until I unplug the charger. Is this normal?

I have only that happen once a couple weeks ago. I had 2 new eg4 lifep04 batteries delivered. They have bluetooth built in so I was able to see they needed charging. It was winter delivery so when I tried charging them right off the delivery truck it did that immediately on both batteries. I left them overnight to warm up and they charged normal next day.
