My favourite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T.V. show intro is the 1987 one, but it is mainly for nostalgic reasons because the 1987 cartoon show was the one that I grew up with there.

The 2003 TMNT fast forward intro; is my favorite. The song was short and quick. An appropriate song for an okay season.

Nathan Skip I wanted so bad for the intro animation to be the animation for the entire show. It seemed a lil’ different.

Same here. Actually, I would've preferred the episodes of seasons 1 through 3 to be animated the same way the first theme song intro was animated from the pilot episode "Turtle Tracks" to the 65th episode "The Big Blow Out" and I would've preferred the episodes of seasons 4 through 10 to be animated the same way the second theme song intro was animated from the 66th episode "Plan 6 from Outer Space" to the series finale "Divide and Conquer", to give the series a similar style from the original comics that were first published by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in the mid and late 1980s but still had given the series lighthearted humor to make it suitable for children.

The later versions wouldn’t be anything without this version. The 2012 version is a great love letter to this version. This one always gets from the start. 1987 all the way.

1987 TMNT was the best, they look so friendly and goofy but when ever there is a fight, no matter how dangerous it is, they become bad ass ninja. I love it how their faces changes and looks very serious.

Yeah, that part with Mikey showing off their nunchuck skills is one of the most awesome scenes - if not the most badass. It's a damn shame the UK never got to see that as kids.

The 1987 Turtles intro was and still is the best. I use to sit in front of the TV watching cartoons and wait for the Turtles to come on. It was great theme. Catchy... Shows a bit of the additude of the series. Plus it was the one that started it all

Any 80s early 90s show was in a league of their own. You can reboot them all day but my kids like the 80s shows better than the updated shows. 2 of my favorite intro was Turtles and The Real Ghostbusters. And if I hear the intro start it’s iconic and immediately recognize them.

The original opening had that gritty, dirty, filthy Manhattan atmosphere that was true to the comics. One of the few things that the original cartoon nailed respecting the Mirage comics I would say

The episodes of seasons 1 through 4 of the 1987 TV series had been animated the same way the first theme song intro had been animated from the pilot "Turtle Tracks" to the 80th episode "Once Upon a Time Machine", and I also wish the episodes of seasons 4 through 10 had been animated the same way the second theme song intro had been animated from the 66th episode "Son of Return of the Fly II" to the series finale "Divide and Conquer" to give the series a similar style from the original comics that were first published by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird of the mid and late 1980s and the 1990s. For Me, the 1987 TMNT intro, the 1990 intro (seasons 4-7), and the season 10 intro is best.

Yes it is the Best because its Great in all the ways you went through it in Slow Motion and its the Original! I am so glad I was an 80s kid and that I was there to experience every single second of it! You showed a picture of the Turtle Van Toy... I remember my 8th Birthday in June 1988, The only thing I wanted was the Turtle Van! I got it at Lionel Playworld.... Best Memories Ever!!!

The music and lyrics are so well synced to what's happening on screen. It's not just a song with random scenes. My favorite part is "When the evil shredder attacks... these turtle boys, don't cut him no slack!" And Leo slices the screen on the final word. That's just perfection. I also think the city's toward the end, with the light gray and purple color palettes are super iconic. Like I feel like tmnt owns that color palette!

This is the best TMNT intro ever, IMHO. It is probably a sakuga animation, just looking at how dynamic and in sync every shot is. I kinda find it similar to Yuyu Hakusho's intro, play YYH's Japanese OP song over this intro and you'll see what I mean.

I still remember when they were called Teenage mutant Hero Turtles!! Loved this show as a kid after the very first episode I was hooked and still am today in my option it's the best intro ever done and my personal favourite

It was called "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" in the U.K. because the government there thought that the word "ninja" sounded too violent back in the 1980's and 1990's for a kids show.

CBS aired this 1987 series on their Saturday Morning Cartoon lineup during its secondary run from 1990 until 1997.

6:50....referencing the ping pong clip. Just so funny with some people call *that* Bruce Lee🤣. It doesn't look anything like Bruce Lee, it's a CGI ping pong ball, it's modern made to look old and was a Nikon camera commercial years back.

The 1987 intro IS the best. It's the benchmark of the TMNT intros. The next is the 2012 intro, heck it obviously inspired by the 87 version the the cast was introduced in the same order, 1st Leo, 2nd Donny, 3rd Ralph, 4th Mikey, and 4th was Master Splitter. Too cool, and last the villains. It was HYPE and so AWESOME to see the them pay homage to the original introduction.

During the fourth season in 1990-91 at the same time, the show was simultaneously aired in weekday syndication and as an hour-long double episode block on CBS Saturday mornings with a slightly altered opening sequence and did away with the episode title cards.

Love the 1987 TMNT series as I've said before it's my number# 1 favorite but I think the new ninja turtle series now that it has started is pretty cool too and I rate it as pretty close to being number# 1 favorite if not tied but I don't think nothing so far will totally beat my first love!

Is this REALLY a question? LOL JK im having fun. But OF COURSE this is the best intro. I like the 03 one. My childhood was the damn best!! RIP James Avery BKA Uncle Phil (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) also BKA..... The Shredder!! And to this damn day I going crazy because I never knew that he played the shredder and I watch the toon since day one!! LOL but I loved it and missed it. Had the show, Had the toys, Saw all of the films, woooo you cant get no better than this!! Wish i could go back.

The 1987 Tmnt intro was and is the best of them all. Then, you had Thunder Cats, the real Ghostbusters, Fraggle Rock, Duck Tales, then lastly, the Muppets original intro. After that, Nope! Case Closed! I miss this era!

I love every Intro (except from the Fast Forwards era...nope those aren't canon) of the TMNT but of all intros and all are great and fantastic among any cartoon series ever.....this is still my all time favorite intro, animation alone this one destroy all the rest and that song is damn eternal.....2012 probably is my second favorite, Rise is awesome and great animated (probably the best animated after this one) and 2003 is a fan favorite and I loved too.

My favorite: The 2003 tmnt intro (the second one i like just a little bit more than the first one, but i'll lump em both together) The best: The 1987 tmnt intro. It started it all; everybody knows it or knows of it/has heard it. It's a classic, the gold standard.
