Is the 2017 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Grand Sport the must BUY sports car? 

For me, The C7 looks better than the C8, it's just my opinion though.

I have a 19 GS 2lt. Car is a BLAST to drive. Perfect for a cars and coffee that morning, the track that day then dressing up and taking your lady out to dinner that night. It turns heads all day. All around great car. If you're thinking of getting one, do it especially during the colder months when prices drop a little!

This car is amazing, it doesn't look old at all and the performance is fantastic.

I’ve had mine for a little over 5 years now. I usually get tired of cars quick but I still love it as the same day I bought it. Fantastic car.

Just purchased a C7 GS w/ Z07 package. I’ll pick up a C8 when the C9 gets announced. The C7 body style is imo timeless, it’ll always turn heads.

C7 looks much better than the C8.

I own a 2019 GS C7 with pretty much the same color combo, I just have more red in the interior in mine….love the C7s😎💯🔥👍🏾

I never cared much for corvettes until I saw the C7. It’s just such a badass sportscar. I just got my 2023 C8 Stingray convertible a few weeks ago and it feels like a supercar. The performance, tech and interior are off the charts!

I have a 2017 GS Blackrose manual convertible. I have driven many a C8 which is an awsome car. But when I get in my C7 I just feel right at home. Smiles per mile baby!👊🏻👍🏻🇺🇲😜

These are absolutely fantastic sport’s cars. Chevy really upped their technology and engineering game with the C7 and especially the C8. Also these Grand Sport’s keep really really good resale value.

Just to note You could get a C7 GS with carbon flash rear top intake vents over the left and right sides if you purchased either a 2LT or 3LT package. Only on the 1LT was it the color of the body paint. Another correction I took my GS to just under 192MPH. Stock aside from my AFE intake and a throttle booster. A great naturally aspirated beast…

I feel like you value the historical significance along with subtleties like a wide body. The color combo does look good.

I'd say yes, I have a 2017 GS in White with Kalahari interior though (7sp manual). I've had a C3, C5Z and C6 and it took me a while to appreciate the C7. I love the rear of the C5 the most, but love the side view of the C7.

I love how GM shoots out two back to back champion C7 and C8 series Corvette super cars! The C7 was a tremendous leap forward, it looked awesome, was well built, had great overall speed and handling performance. I still highly rate the C7 series Corvettes, wouldn't mind owning a later model.

I now have 21k miles on my 2017 2LT C7 Grand Sport and it has been a great car so far! My car is also white but with chrome wheels, black interior, and no hash marks(I don’t personally like black rims or hash marks). The car has more than enough power and is very solid. It drives like it’s on rails. For me, if I’m looking at later generation Corvettes, I’ll take the C7 over the C8 any day because it still looks like the classic corvette proportionally. IMHO the C8 looks like a toy European Hot Wheels Car with a Corvette badge stuck on it. Way too busy for my taste but to each his own. If I buy another vette, it will be a C2. For me, they are the most beautiful Corvettes ever made.

Have a 2019 Corvette Grand Sport red with black wheels. Except for the torque tube replaced under warranty no issues.

I love this car in this color combo My first corvette was a 1981 two toned cream and a coppery brown it was one of my favorite cars ever

I love mine. 2017 GS 3LT. Bought it with 3k miles three years ago and been daily driving it since, up to 35k now. Put one set of tires on it, and have had to replace 3 of my rear rims due to cracking (buyer beware). But that’s it. 19 mpg avg since I’ve had it. I pulled the NPP fuse for meaner exhaust sound all the time, not just higher RPMs. Competition seats are surprisingly comfortable, plenty of cargo space, versatile magnetic suspension, easy to take the targa off frequently, no rattles, etc. Buy one. I’ll miss mine when I have to give it up to collect my C8 Z06 allocation.

As much as I like new c8 z06, I would buy c7 GS manual, for all the reason you mentioned, and then some. Plus, it's probably most reliable vette. Thanks Joe.

I bought a 2019 GS a year ago and love it. My only regret is that it's a 1LT (should've gotten a 2LT, poor research on my part).

Awesome model Corvette...best yet and that includes the C8. Agree that a 7-speed would make it the PERFECT sports car. GS models will be a highly sought after car.

I drove one of these for a whole year, really fun car, but the interior is really showing it’s age by now. It doesn’t help that they are so overpriced still.. $60k for a base stingray plus wider fenders should be closer to 40s now.

I have a regular 98 C5 Corvette and the only time I was ever excited for another Corvette was the C7 Grand Sport Collector Edition. Sadly I missed out. If they ever do the same color theme on the newer models I'll be the first in line!

Immediate thumbs up! C7 will be the collector Vette. 2LT is the highest to go. LT3 gets leather on dash, that bubbles. Oh no! The problematic 8 speed, 35K on odo, shudders on hwy speed. Chevy has a band aid fix for another 30K.

So let me tell you guys an honest opinion on the grand sports C7. I own a 2019 GS C7 and have been daily driving since. I did have major problem which if you’re unlucky you might encounter it too. The tranny started shaking and rattling at about 3000 miles only and had it replaced by the dealer under warranty. It is a known issue on the car especially more so on automatics. The second issue is I live in Cali and the roads are not that great. The wheels will start bending and cracking and I already had to replace it twice which was not cheap at all. Other than that the car is amazing and fun to drive but I wished I knew this beforehand. The wheel cracking is definitely not fun, unless you use it as a weekend car.

I’d like to think of this as a baby z06,at least to me. Awesome review you three!😊😊 what would be awesome if you could review a c6 z06,c6 zr1, or c6 grand sport.

I always preferred the look of the C6s, they are the best looking Vettes IMO, but these C7s have really nice interiors. They feel so much more solid. C7s build quality was leaps and bounds ahead of anything up until the C8.

The C6 is my favorite Corvette.....best, cleanest looking, lightest, and best power to weight ratio. And you can get a nice one for under $30,000.

A tune will fix the slush box up right up. I love the 8 speed now. Planning on supercharging mine to get closer to ZL1 power levels. Agreed the ZL1 is much more of a smash you in the face kind of car, and is difficult to manage on the streets. I love my ZL1 but it's not the kind of car you can just plant your foot with unless conditions are perfect.

The C7 GS is THE Vette to own, period. But... it must have a manual, not an auto.

Bought a 2LT GS back in 2017. Had to order it since I wanted a manual and the competition seats. Been a great car, 51k miles so far. On road trips this thing gets 26-27 mpg and the only negative is the road noise from those big run flats. On the track this thing is super predictable, a bit of understeer unless you trial brake excessively, and no temperature issues. The only thing I think is a little meh is the push rod sound. At full throttle it sounds great, but everywhere else it's just kind of meh. Would love to get a new Z06 just for the sound but those markups are ridiculous. No issues continuing to drive this old GS, super fun.

Man I was dead set on a Audi s4 but every time I see one of these in person and hear that god like 6.2L, it makes me want to buy a cheap beater and get one of these for fun instead.
