Is the 2019 GMC Sierra Denali the GREATEST truck to BUY?

I absolutely love my new GMC. I didn't want the Denali but liked so many features that come with the models including the X31 package! The nice folks at Castle Buick GMC in Chicago delivered a heck of a lot more bang for the bucks. I'm so glad my son wanted me to at least go and look, after all the time spent researching the GM offerings. This new model from GMC is simply an incredible whip!

Thanks for the great in-depth review! I've been studying the Sierra Denali for 2 years and decided to wait for the 2019 to come out, mostly for the tailgate. This is my next purchase, Red tintcoat is my flavor and I'm just waiting for a good sale.

Thank you for another excellent review! After watching your review for at least the third time, I ordered my 2021 Denali today. Satin steel metallic with dark walnut/dark gray interior and of course the 6.2L V-8. May be the last of its kind, the big, naturally aspirated V-8.

Duuuuuuuuuude!!!! Thus is one jaw dropping truck!!!! My jaw dropped when I saw the front end, dropped again with that swiveling, dropdown side steps, and the fell right through the floor with that taaaaaaaailgaaaaaaaaaaate!!!!! Gimmicky? No bro. That's engineering right there!!! Great review man!!!

Hehe 420hp blaze it. Real talk, I love that tailgate. After seeing commercials for it, I always wanted to see it work and whatnot.

So today i got picked up from my 8th period (im 15 btw) and my parents took me to the dealership and had This exact same truck but in Smokey Quartz and it is amazing , but not gonna be able to use it till september when i get my license, right now i could only use it with an adult , i fell in love with the truck instantly

Yep even though I'm pretty much a Ford and Ram guy Denalis are my one and only favorite trucks by General Motors. If I were forced to buy a gmc it has to be a Denali can't be anything else. And yes I want it with a 6.2L V8 to haul my horses.

He left out some real world highlights. 1st, when your out in the woods hunting, just drop that tailgate, lower the attached step and you've got a seat to put one butt cheek on when you've gotta take a dump. 2nd, be aware of that helper handle in the bed! It's just about ball height so if you forget to put that ball buster back in position and your in the bed maneuvering things and turn around quick, you might get that throbbing sick feeling while bent over falling off the bed lol

I am a big GM guy. I love chevys and GMC MORE. The only problem with the multipro tailgate is that it hits a hitch if u have one in. And it’s such a pain to always have to take it out. But love ur vid!

The heat is not for the headrest and your head but for the backrest and your back. And the darker grey trim around the infotainment system is actually real aluminum which is why it feels metallic to you. The Silverado does not use aluminum even on the High Country trim level. I zunk the new GM full-size trunks on the decrease in soft materials on the dash. The previous generation has soft touch materials on the SLT and up everywhere (including the glove box doors) outside of the center controls except for the removable panel below the steering wheel. It would be a good comparison for you to do since they have both gens still on the lot.

The exterior of this truck is absolutely beautiful, but they need to do an emergency refresh in the interior for the 2021 model or sometime in the near future. I would like to see the interior from the new Yukon in here, as well as a panoramic sunroof and some better build quality, THEN it'd be worth it's price.

The small glovebox on top would be ideal for storing the owner's manual and vehicle paperwork.

What a wonderful truck if you like being at the dealership one week every month ... owned one and not ever again will I have a gm in my yard.

Exterior is nice, but the new RAM has the interior beat on this. Great video, very detailed and exciting.

I'm not a big gm fan but instead of getting another Kia I'm actually willing to consider this truck a friend of mine at work has a family member that works at the gm plant he says the only truck that gm makes that he would even touch is this very Denali because he says it's the only vehicle they make thar doesn't have a bunch of issues not even electrical problems witch gm products are famous for I'm going to be in the market for a truck in two years and according to my friend if you get a Denali that is a year old that is new you can get a lot of rebates and incentives for this truck so I'll be able to afford it finally a gm product that is worth something and I'd rather have a column shifter than a floor shifter on a truck because I frees up more room in the center console for storage and more cup holders for the first time gm has impressed me what a truck I'm definitely looking into the Denali thanks for another great review now I've got something to look forward to

I have Ford's 10 speed, throughly impressed. Especially good on downhills. You barely have to use the brakes to slow down.

This truck is super nice!! Very high class, but for me is missing that aggressive feel, I know thats not every buyers feel, but for me it is. Regardless, a very nice truck .

This is big red truck if GMC underarm look together on a truck I would buy it the GMC has some really great features what do rhymes abundant letter it's huge screen and I really love that engine and GMC has the cool exterior an awesome tailgate I apologize if stuff doesn't make sense I using voice command and Google has trouble understanding my Trinidad Creole accent. I have been a Ram owner for a long time. I like the looks of the 2019 GMC. Make the interior of a GM as nice as a Ram AND offer adaptive cruise control and I would consider a GMC truck. Pretty much every new vehicle comes with adaptive cruise control. GM wants People to buy an expensive Denali without adaptive cruise control? Nuts.

Caddy is redoing the dashboards. I am sure the new designs will trickle down. The exteriors are good looking.

Loved the video. Huge zonk for no panoramic moonroof and the dash looks somewhat plain or similar with lower trimmed gm trucks. For that price gm could’ve invested some time upgrading the interior as well. Overall excellent on the outside and mediocre on the inside.

A friend recently purchased the same truck( same color too) only 2018 model. He said he could do without the new tailgate when they took $10,000 off the sticker price. Oh, and it has the 6.2 L also. After seeing the Ram at the car show he admitted it’s interior was nicer than his Denali.👍🏻👍🏻

Great review as always, Joe. I absolutely love this truck! I do, however, agree with your observations about the interior: the shifter material should be upgraded, the radio and HVAC dials should be more refined in their operation, the rear seats should be ventilated, and the headliner should be reengineered to be more flat as well as accommodate an optional panoramic sunroof. Hopefully GM implements some or all of these changes in the near future, continuing to improve their "bread and butter."

Great review. I've been looking at the Denali awesome exterior. Always been a gm guy but the interior looks like they just gave up and just stuck with what the old model had. Really disappointed in GM. So much plastic and cheap looking. We spend all of our time in the cabin after all. I'm going to test drive Ram limited and rebels this weekend. The interior is just insane and at least makes the price not hurt so much.

Denali is a sick truck but id rather get a Raptor any day!

Great looking truck, Just a little too much chrome for my taste. I wish GMC would have a Blackout package for the Denali.

They should have flared out the black wheel wells and painted them body color, plus the zonk on the side mirrors. I wish the Raptor had that truck gate. The Raptor needs that power source, and LED lights. That is a party trick that makes the Denali a beast too. Towing rating is AWESOME. Weight is awesome. 0-60 is awesome, Price is awesome.Interior is not as pretty as the Limited tho. Glove box is awesome.Column shifter is VERY UNCOOL. You need to zonk the hand grab rail on the left. It blocks alot. The safe is awesome. My biggest thing is that GMC/Chevy engines and transmissions are better and more reliable than Fords. We need a Limited vs Denali cage fight!lol I would get a 2500HD tho.

It's a beautiful truck , my only complaint is the low profile tires. On a truck that size it just doesn't work for me....

There's a million and one places to hide your weed in this truck, there's even a friggin SAFE, I'd forget the combo lol

You forgot to mention the grab handle. You have to put it down before you fold your tailgate up, it will hit the tailgate otherwise.

JEEZ Full Size Truck are expensive! But I always like the GMC better than the Chevy.. This is no exception! And I love how GM sticks with V8s in its top models. Not some Eco-Turbo V6 (yeah you Ford) that gets worse MPGs than a V8! LOL!!!! I'd take this truck over any other on the market (Rams interior is waaay better tho!) right now!

Raiti's praising chrome ?! This truck commands the competition to kneel before it and worship.Awesome exterior.Beautiful wheels, none of that cheap unattractive machined look.Total absence of that cheap $5 toy stamped lettering. My main criticism is that infotainment screen Its too small and is housed in a rather crude and dated looking framework.The setup in the new Tundra looks way more modern and ergonomic.
