Is the 2020 BMW X2 a BETTER small luxury SUV than the Audi Q3?

You know it's on the daily drive side, supermarket, work, school when Joe is putting on the throttle while in traffic lol. Overall, I think it's a nice compact package for sure I'd buy one especially in that blue.

Correction: The X2 and all other transverse FWD platform cars from BMW don't have a ZF transmission, their models on this platform use an Aisin transmission.

Thanks Joe! I've heard some other reviewers complain that the X2 with those 20 inch wheels is firm to the point of being uncomfortable. Did you find it harsh?

I had a FWD X2 loaner and it torque steered like crazy. Made it exciting for what it was. The ol' one wheel peel.

I like the hidden storage area in the trunk. I always have jumper cables in my cars. That would be a great place for them.

I had a 2016 X1 and it had all the things you wanted on the center console, cup holder cover and a gloss black trim. + the cup holder cover looked really nice and made the car a smoother touch - the gloss black trim really got me frustrated because it got constantly dirty and you can see dust and fingerprints on it very frequently. I do prefer the flat black one over the glass black

Hey Joe, just to explain the M logo on the door sills somewhat. Here in Europe BMW have a few trim levels (before you add options) on their cars. One of those trim levels is the M Sport trim which gives you similar styling inside and out associated with the M models but without the proper M engines and tuning. I think over in the US you guys don't get the M Sport trim but they still fit some of the M Sport trim to your cars as standard. For example the M Sport logo on the door sill is fitted to M Sport cars where as a genuine M5 would have a M5 logo on the door sill, steering wheel, etc. Audi do similar where they have a S-Line trim meant to give customers of their non S cars similar styling to the S cars. Mercedes do it too with their AMG Line trim level.

Joe, I wish you would review what may be BMW's most popular vehicle, the X3 30i SAV. BMW may sell more of these than any other vehicle in their line up. You review the X3 M Competition but the 30i will outsell that by 100-1.

$48k and no blind spot detection. This is standard equipment on $20k Hyundai’s and Kia’s! What’s up with that?

Good looking compact crossover. Looks like the dealer just got the windows tinted too. Surprised with the amount of rear leg room. But the price 🥺. I'd take the Tiguan SEL R Line and save about 10k.

Thanks for the excellent review! This is a real fun sporty small SUV based on same X1 and Mini Cooper Countryman platform! The X2 is smaller and prettier than the X1 with great aerodynamic design. I got my 2022 Sport white mineral metallic convenience packet! I used to have the more boxy and sedated X1 but that’s not my type of car. BMW is going to change it as they did with the x1. I can’t be happier with my little rocket X2! lol😊😊😊😊😊👋👋👋👋👋

Other than that oddly placed badge on the read pillar...it's a tight exterior design. That chopped roof look sells it. And wow. BMW didn't ruin the gauge cluster the way they have been in their sedans with that super zonk, backwards tachometer. But look, that vehicle is as much of a SUV as their 4-door sedan is a coupe! That's BMW though. Making it up as they go just to get into a segment and then, hit their buyers up with some serious overpricing. Thanks Joe!

Im so confused. People act like a tiny bit if plastic brings down the whole car quality. I dont know not one car with not 1 piece of plastic. Luxury or not. Especially when its places you’ll never touch or arent meant to be touched 24/7. Why would ANY company put a luxury material where you’re not meant to be touching. At the end of the day gets you from point a to point b.

Why get a 1 series if you can get it's thicker, badder cousin the x2. Man I love this car so much. It's like a juiced up 1 series. I don't consider it really an suv but more of a super-sized hatchback, which are crazy popular over here in the EU. If I were to get an SUV I would look for something like a Chevy tahoe or a durango anyways. I think you should approach this car with the fuel economy and practicality in mind rather Rohan looking for a cheap SUV because I'd say in the SUV department it clearly lack hence I approach it as a more practical hatchback/smart coupe kind of car in which segment it really shines.

RR at that price in the Cute Ute segment the term “best” goes out the window, one is paying for name and status at that point because Kia & Hyundai are bringing competitive products to market for the money ... digging that color though!! 🤔🤣

I never use an arm rest. Hubby does all the time but I don't.

While i think the looks of the x2 are something to be reckoned with,i am not at all impressed with the horsepower,what are the chances that BMW will ever give it atleast 300hp? I also don't like the plastic steering wheel shift pedals,they could have done much better than that.Would have also been great if they had given us a two tone interior,i was looking forward to hearing it pour into life as you fired it up,just to hear how the exhaust pipes sound.Thanks for the review.
