Is the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro RS 1LE muscle car WORTHY? 

I love when you review cars like this. Not the fastest and most expensive but a sleeper in the middle of the pack.

From a Mustang guy it's ashame they will be discontinuing the Camaro.Its definitely has its place in the muscle car world.Nice job to chevy on this one.

He couldn't wind it out because it's new and not broke in. But let me tell you, that DOHC V6 is a gem of an engine and screams out the most glorious V6 sound you'll ever hear unless you can afford an Italian exotic. Not only does it sound amazing at high revs, but it has more than enough power to carve up back roads. If you love to drive, I mean really drive, not just stomp the pedal at stoplights, then the V6 is BETTER than the V8. You've got to work that manual transmission to get the performance so it's more rewarding than the V8. Bonus: less risk of jail time, lower insurance, and less gas.

I just picked up my new 21 RS from my dealer about 2 weeks ago (I ordered it back in September). I love it. The V6 with the 10 speed auto drives great. Thanks for sharing this 1LE Raiti!

I would get this as a daily.

These cars are slept on. I know it's not an SS but that V6 rips and the handling, it's a great car. You can find these new around 25k.

This is a really cool color!!! It's sad to hear that Camaros are getting discontinued in 2022 but I think they will comeback again in the future better than ever just like the 5th Gen in 2010!

I don't know why people keep harping about the 6th Gen Camaro's "blind spot". I bought a new SS in 2016 and by the time I had properly adjusted the mirrors and driven it home from the dealer (70 miles) I was completely accustomed to it, no problems. 4300 miles later, still a non-issue.

I have a '17 Camaro SS but I've considered getting a V6 Camaro M6 as a daily to replace my current (old) daily. For the money and performance you get, I think the V6 M6 Camaro would be a good choice for a fun daily that isn't terribly expensive.

I always laugh at the Twinkies references, too 😂 Question for the V-6: How do you feel about cold-air intakes? I think this engine with a CAI (and an after-market performance exhaust) would give it a louder roar and more power to the back wheels for more fun on the twisties. As the former owner of a 1994 Camaro RS, I loved this review. To be honest, it's a great daily driver and it looks super nice with the RS 1LE extra goodies.

The camero looks the best out of the mustang and the challenger hope it makes a come back

My 84 Z28 had the exciting 190hp 5.0HO...that HO couldn't blow away this 335hp V6...and no worries about too much junk in the trunk...no room!..nice review!

You should see about adding the E-Force Supercharger from Edelbrock. Mine not only has that awesome engine sound...but an entirely new sound of the Eaton TVS 1.74 liter Supercharger. In my custom (not the Edelbrock tune; and thanks Chris Brewer who also tuned cars for Gas Monkey Garage, etc.) 435RWHP (150 more than the 276RWHP of the stock 3.6). I also added the Bilstein B-14 PSS front and rear adjustable suspension that makes it a road warrior that still get 30mpg on the highway if you have the stick (I do) and you use 6th gear on cruise control, you can see 30mpg. I was only able to get 27mpg, but in a almost 500 hp (SAE NET V6 Camaro. More HP is possible. But I have Stock intake, stock exhaust....much pull. I just left RS on the car. It now means: R EALLY S UPERCHARGED

Honestly if your getting the 1le for the Rs ... just get the SS and up ( few thousand dollars extra).

Never really took much notice towards a RS, but Chevy really gave this package some serious presence. From the front end to the rear this car is sexy, but that side view in this color package is in a class all by itself.

Really want to like the Camaro's but its the only car I've driven with poor forward visibility. It may not be "terrible" but I want the forward view to be confidence inspiring and it certainly isn't.

I had a 3rd Gen Trans am and when I replaced it with my Charger Daytona I looked at the Camaro. Really wanted to like it but roof is too low and trunk too small. GM destroyed the Camaro themselves if they raised the roof a bit and cut the trunk different they could have had a hit on their hands. The practicality issues killed this thing. By the way great job as always Joe!!!

Remember the 1LE V6 Camaro was quicker around some tracks than the 15-18 MY Mustang GT. Despite it being down 100hp and 100+ lb ft of tq.

The new Camaro is something that when people found out it was going to be the final generation of the muscle car era Chevrolet said it going bankrupt can't let that happen they should always keep up making new muscle car because it represent from the old school legends from back in the day Chevy should definitely stay stronger on the market and the business because we love Chevrolet

Too bad most wont even realize that Chevy built and delivered the Z car/Supra variant that we all wanted with a lusty NA v6 and great chassis for a price that's not hype driven insanity. Thinking about picking up a used Chevy 350 Z as a daily. Great NA revs and great chassis=:):):) per dollar. Especially if you already have that blown v8 lurking in your garage.

This is exactly what I would want to own but in an automatic because I drive a few 100 miles a day in the city for work. Beautiful car. If I didnt drive in the city so much I would go manual tho.

As always great review. Minor correction: the SS has 6 piston calipers not 4, so the RS has the same brake set up as a Cadillac CTS VSport not the Camaro SS.

I’ll say camero is my 3rd favorite muscle car. The looks for the car is on point. The color for this car is amazing. For a v6, it’s still an awesome car. Just sucks that it will be discontinued.

RS 1le is a best legit muscle car you can buy just depends on the option package performance to go for a race track or even drag strip

Its sad. I'd hate to see the camaro go. The trinity is challenger, mustang and camaro. I'm afraid when one falls, manufacturers will think, oh I guess we have to kill our coupes too. Sometimes all it takes is someone to lead for others to blindly follow.

well, HP is in the ballpark with what my 02 SS was putting out. only thing with V6s is they lack the torque the V8s have. still a sweet ride, i drove only FBodies since 78. i have a R/T Challenger now, but to me, any Camaro purchase is gonna be a good time for someone! 👍😎

It's funny that so many people say you have to get the V8. But most people have never even driven the V6 before, it's pretty quick. 335hp stock. Remember guys all car models sell the most in their V6 models. That's what allows the car companies to make the zl1 or gt500 etc. v6 is always the money maker 🤦🏿‍♂️

Ive got a 2018 camaro with this engine. Ive had it since 2020, and i still love it. Ive had several v8 pony cars in the past and i promise if you've had even like a gen 1 coyote, this car is pretty dead even performance wise.
