I'm a Mustang owner that actually embraces the Mach E but 57k for 2 electric motors and non ventilated pleather seats that I have to move myself seems pretty steep 😬
I have the basic version of the Mach E and I still love it. It’s so good when there’s traffic here in LA (which is very often). Also, love how the OTA updates charged the feeling of the pedals and acceleration. That was something I didn’t like about the car, but it’s way smoother now!
I think they call it Route 1 because the only part of Route 1 they have driven is Sepulveda or Lincoln Blvds. Not something for PCH in Central California. Good luck finding a charger up there.
They should of called it a cool rally type name like Drakkar. Then they could do an all blacked out model and call it the Drakkar Noir. And make it smell really good. Id buy it.
Cyber Orange 🧡 The gloss black on the front and rear fenders is a zonk Drop the Mustang name, pony emblems, and tail lights simply name it a Mach E. Special thanks to the Magnificent Muscle behind the lens Lori!👍
Hi Joe, I am not trading my GT350 in for the Mach E anytime soon. I can appreciate what Ford has built, but there's nothing like the sound of a Flat Plane crank motor.
The Mach E is fast and fun to drive. Like all EVs it's ultra efficient achieving 90 MPGe and is super cheap to charge at home (approx $6-9). So over 5 yrs you'll save $10-15k on fuel and maintenance (no oil changes is a big plus). Overall the Mach E is a great option for most families.
That’s the first Mach-E I liked, the color makes it look own-able. Your 100% correct about the placement of the A/C controls. No ventilated seats, that’s the biggest “zonk”.
Joe, Great video! Thank you! A question for you, please Sir: As an all around, practical, "do everything go everywhere" dally driver, which would you choose...and why? A 2023 Dodge Charge R/T or a 2023 Mustang Ecoboost HPP? I am weighing the "Pros and Cons" of both to decide which car to purchase. I know you have "lots of sear time in both." Any advice and/or assistance you may provide is appreciated. Thank you!
I still don’t, but I can’t deny how easy it is to interact with it because everything’s so big. Except the climate controls at the bottom; hopefully the next sync update makes it easier to use
Hey Joe!!!! Haven't commented on your channel in awhile!!!! I've been busy with my RU-vid channel and continuing to grow it!!!! I'm ALL about fishing 🎣 obviously!!!! Take care Joe!!!
@@RaitisRides it's an honor to be able to support you Joe!!! Even better to talk to ya!!!! I am up to 2,340 subscribers and 1.5 MILLION total channel views 👏 🙌 😀 I got there in just 9 months!!!! I still need about 1,000 watch hours to get monetized so spread the word!!!!
@@RaitisRides Hi Joe, have you ever heard of the "Joe Cell" ? piston engines running from electrified water, meaning zero emissions, the ratio on four cylinder engines is 100 more HP and 100 ft pounds of torque and four hundred miles per gallon of water (approximately), from Australia mate ! 🦘
You say they added the mustang name and badge to give it an extra credit or an extra step but honestly, I think it does negatively for the actual mustang kind of take something away from it by associating it with this thing just my opinion, though
Why did Ford stick that huge screen in the middle of the dashboard? It's an obstruction that prevents the placement of other items under the windshield. It also seems to require double-pressing because it sometimes ignores the finger pressing on the screen, a common problem and a dangerous distraction while driving. Is that screen detachable without using tools? It would be nice if the screen folded away into the dashboard with the press of a button. The car doesn't seem that fast, like Tesla-fast, and the price tag is like an F-150 Lariat. Where's the regular 120V plug? So many cars try to pass off USB plugs as something useful, but USB won't power most things. We should get 12V and 120V outlets, from which you can make many USB ports.
I dont know joe I love the portrait interior screen system by ford I do like how they put the climate controls in the touch screen infotainment system I am surprised you gave that a zonk
I ordered mine in Sept. and I keep getting emails from Ford saying they are sorry for the delay, but they never say when it will be delivered! 🙁 And btw, I definitely want a Shasta with my twinkies!🤣
I order my tesla Y performance with the 4860 battery Nov. 18-22. It was made Dec 6th and delivered dec. 14. It was a surprise how fast and efficient tesla was and I wasn't ready but it worked out. Toyota failed, honda failed and Ford failed. Those were the only ones valued the price. Don't expect a tax credit because democrats made the stipulations impossible.
OK, let's 'get real' for a single second before the end of the year, OK?...Who are the 'people'(using that term loosely) that come up with the 'California Route 1 Edition' naming cluster-f. Wouldn't it make more or less sense to call it the 'Route 101' since that is the most famous of the state roads? Wrong. They would have to add the cost of the extra '0' and '1' to the cost, right? Nevermind. Happy New Year.
I've seen 2 since they've been out. Toyota are sitting back and will laugh at the companies when they go under for giving up on ICE vehicles. They're still sticking with hybrids, which is smart.
I drove one of these. Not even close to Tesla Y. Tesla is way ahead in technology. Honda Insight for a hybrid was the best hybrid ever. 604 miles on 10 gal of gas, amazing vehical. I don't know how people missed that and now honda is no longer making it for USA.
the piano black exterior looks great, but the the whole appeal of EV's for me is that they will last a very long time - I know that gloss wont! Would a vinyl wrap fix that?
When I saw the title of the video, I thought you were testing the SUV on my favorite road in California... Unfortunately, still not a Mustang............
Millions of comments on RU-vid about the Mustang name but if it didn't carry the name, it would have to be a different design. Ford wanted an inspired design that people would be drawn to. They decided what better design language to draw from than Mustang? The original project was going to just be an Escape like EV which they scrapped. Would it not be weird to have a Mustang looking vehicle without the name? People would be asking why does it look like a Mustang?
I had this on order but I cancelled.. IMO its not worth the price because of mainly the charging network and speed. I love the looks reliability of charging is important
@@DannerBanks Same. I have this car and charge at home only up to 85% and it’s plenty for my work commute (45 miles total) and any random trip I need to make.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. I wish they made a regular combustion engine version of this vehicle even if it were a fuel efficient model like an eco-boost engine.
A Performance Hybrid version would peak many more people's interest. And if you think about it, it should make the end product less expensive to the customer because all the tech already exists.
I get it's a Mach E but don't understand why Ford doesn't put a normal grill on it....be much better looking and a great aftermarket product! You're totally right about the rear wiper position!
If people ignore the Mustang badge on it, it's actually a fantastic vehicle and should have it's own model, fun to drive, fast, and it's super efficient too!
They should have left the Mustang name and badges off this altogether. Mustangs (just like a Porsche) should never have 4 doors. They should have just called it the Mach E or a different name altogether. EV cars won't be interesting to me until they can do at least 400 miles on a charge. Its nice looking though.
Looks pretty good outside of the weird grill. Should've just have a complete black border around the emblem area. It kind of looks like a soda tab with the bottom being all orange and it's very weird. As far as AC controls. They should always. Always be manual physical knobs. I'm in AZ and summers are mad hot, I don't want to burn my finger just trying to slide my finger on a hot iPad griddle. Otherwise, I think it's a pretty good car and the price wasn't terrible... Until the dealership mark-ups.
Ford. Dodge. Chevy. We all give each other crap about our vehicles, but can we all come together in an agreement, that these should've NEVER been called a Mustang.
A California special edition passenger seat not electric no Bueno come on Ford no sunshade for the roof 😬👎🏻 no ventilated seats even a Prius has ventilated seats stop being cheap Ford like always guys great videos 👍🏻🇺🇸
For years auto makers have tried to decrease the weight of vehicles to decrease fuel consumption. Now, we make heavier electric vehicles that consume more electricity......is this really progress?....or are we just going in circles?
Fake engine sound is dumb. Otherwise, I like the EV but would get it without the 2nd electric motor to stretch range even more. Don't need AWD if it has that, having just RWD makes it more like a real Mustang.
