Is the 2025 RAM 1500 REV a BETTER new truck to BUY than the Chevy Silverado EV?

The Ram Revolution is a good looking truck! The color is tasteful, the exterior lighting is perfect, wheels are not too shabby, nice the Ram kept the bedside tool boxes, the interior is superb. Yeah we're talking a $100,000 truck right here given the cost of a Platinum Lightning and the Silverado RST and Sierra Denali. But don't worry the Tradesman will only cost $65-70K. Electric trucks are starting at what gas trucks used to top out at.

Don't know how capable these EV trucks are in real life but having a full size truck as a daily driving vehicle would be great.

Nothing better than to watch Joe's reviews when having a cold. It passes time and makes me laugh with his mentions of Twinkies! Great job entertaining us Joe.

I see a lot of Rivian trucks, and Ford Lightning so I’m not surprised these are getting popular

Like the styling of the Rev better than the Lightning and Sliverado EV (not that they are bad per se), but I am curious to hear what the pricing will be like. These things are coming with such hefty price tags.

An amazing truck. Is going to really give GM and Ford a run for the money. I expect the 500 mile range in this trim to be over $100k, and a long waiting list. They really have raised the bar wit this truck.

Gotta start folding down that center arm rest in the rear on these trucks lol. That was a big selling point for us on our ram limited . That entire center seat back folds down.

Hey joe good review on the ram 1500 , I LOVE THE LIGHTING IN THE FRONT WOW, eventhough electric vehicles becoming the major vehicles on the road are a ways off in my opinion.

I will be purchasing this vehicle, l've been waiting for the electric Ram.

Man is that a beauty of a truck, I have the 2019 limited and I still love driving it every time I get in it. Beautiful truck, I’m anxious to see the price tag, I live in a apartment so I probably won’t buy one due to not being able to charge at night.

I think biggest issue for the US is charging infrastructure. This will improve based on market demand. EVs are our future, I have no doubt. My Rivian is an outstanding vehicle, I’m not going back to gas truck. I need a truck for my work, only complaint is Rivian a bit small so I’ll probably get the Rev when available.

500 miles is an excellent number and I bet torque will be high too. If you tow with this I know that 500 mile will dip drastically

I've never been a fan of electric vehicles, but I would take this in a heartbeat.

Hey Joe! Great job at the NY Auto show. This Ram Rev is pretty impressive the only thing for me is I'm not 100% sold on the taillights yet. I think the Ford Lightning is the best looking EV truck so far 👌

I want one. I've been a RAM guy my whole life and I currently own a Tesla Model 3 that I love. If RAM prices this truck just right with a decent range AND with the NACS (tesla) connector, I'm sold.

I would like to see this in a midsize offering. Trucks have gotten obscenely larger with every new generation. The vast majority of Americans don't tow or haul heavy loads. And our roads are already overcrowded with large and heavy pickup trucks. But I will reserve my judgement on this truck until I see it in person.

I am a ram truck owner limited. I got to say one thing about ram truck. They got the best interior of any vehicle that I know of right now I got a Mercedes. I got a Cadillac ram truck got all of them beat that’s my opinion.

The RAM people do signature lighting and badging better than anyone in the automotive business. This electric truck seems to be built around the safe storage of the iconic American Twinkie. Looks like a great time you're having in New York.

i like the fact that RAM's smaller battery is the max battery for other trucks and their max battery is double the competitors. Things that i am looking for: air ride, quality interior, towing, bi-directional power, and of course HP/TQ for street light racing(haha) If i am gonna buy an electric pickup its prolly gonna be this one, but i have to pay off the tesla first (wife insists😂)

What about cameras? Is there front and rear camera on demand for parking assist? 360 degree camera setup?

Unfortunately these and most vehicles are just unaffordable now a days. Just crazy that people would be choosing between this and a TRX.

I’m taking the ram ev

I’m not a fan of Chrysler vehicles aka Stellantis but I do admit they make nice comfortable interiors. My mom has a Dodge Journey and it’s surprisingly comfortable on road trips and has plenty of storage. The only problem with the brand is reliability. It’s a gamble buying one.

Would be nice to know if they have the front jump seat option, I need the 6th seat

From what the concept looked like to this… they could have put a new ram with an iPhone on the passenger side glovebox, new Seats and bam! EV REV!

10:33 the flat floor isn't a new thing for ram because of the battery. The current 2023 Ram 1500 has a flat floor in the second row all the same :)

ive been adamant against buying an ev since this whole phase started, but id def drive this one, thats just next level interior and the dam thing just looks good over all. its a nice vehicle, ev or not.

Beautiful! Best looking EV truck imo but I'm biased being a Ram owner. But I don't even wanna imagine what this price will be, gas model spec similar 75k this will probably be well over 100k.. so unfortunately I'll keep my 2020 Ram.

Hey Joe, l am Joe to nice to meet you. Really appreciate your videos especially the REV. l know this is about 6 months later, you scratched the surface on the rubber of the tires, but didn't say what type. Are the tires going to be a different type of tire because of the new weight of the truck with the heavier batteries in it? Which will make the tires astronomical in price, and thats for the REV or any of the EV trucks. When the information becomes available would it be possible to do a scratch the surface video about the tires and the potential cost of the difference tires for EV trucks. Thanks!!!

Nice interior, too many badges. Driver seat control did not look like they were in the normal position one would find ? What is the battery warranty and other warranties. We’re looking over 100k easily.

Looks like they made it more conservative compared to the initial one we saw at CES. Looks more like a normal truck now.

I have RAM limited 2022 i have a one problem with air conditioner its not active good in summer im from iraq temperature here up to 50 degrees i hope in new generation the RAM company change the air condition system to better

OK I have to admit for someone who doesn't like the whole thing of transitioning to EVs, I must say that RAM REV 1500 doesn't look bad at all. In fact I like it. I do like how it kept the outgoing body style. Also those LED head lights as well LED tail lights look very good. I like it because it doesn't yell out EV when you look it at. I t looks very settle and luxurious. I don't like how some other EVs have like that futuristic design that looks awful and horrendous

Excellent videos Joe I like so much how you like the cars and the food and the particular way that you give the info, very good job. I see a vid of some guy that buy a Ford lightning in Canada and he was complaining about his truck because it can’t turn on because of the last winter weather. And literally his truck was a ice cube, completely dead. Don’t know if this new tech trucks could handle the hole environments right now. Cheers from Mexico!
