Sounds great. The stock IRs that are included with the acs1 are actually from tonefactor already. The tonefactor ones give you more options, but the 2.0 stock IRs are pretty good.
After updating to 2.0 did you notice on the Fullerton (clean, low gain setting) some unwanted combination tones when playing a minor sixth interval? (ex: intro of Slow Dancing in a Burning Room) Unless it's some kind of firmware glitch that only I got, I'm curious why no one else picked up on this nuisance. Fullerton, low gain, clean tone, any cab. Please comment!
It’s only really necessary for if your running a long line like from the stage to the sound board at front of house. This will keep your signal full and intact. If your right next to your audio interface a normal TS quarter inch cable will be fine.
After watching your video even though I’m running stereo ins and outs, I’m convinced I’m missing something as mine doesn’t sound like this. When I turn down the left or right channels I still hear the other (hearing left when it’s all the way down.) I’m using stock tone factor IRs. Im going mono through my overdrives into a strymon mobius (mono into mobius) then in and out into a Strymon BS and TL and finally stereo in to the ACS1. Am I missing something?
Hey man, that all sounds right, I have noticed even when one side is down I’m getting a very very low reading on that side but I don’t hear it compared to the other side so haven’t given it much thought. Make sure your interface isn’t blending the channels or similar in whatever Daw you may use.
Sounds great. I usually just use it clean and push a drive into it but im thinking it would be great to have a chimey clean playing soft and some nice growl when playing harder. It is achievable just with guitar and acs1 correct?
That’s about the same process I use to dial in my amp sim. Good job. Also I sold my Dream Ruby to go back to ACS1. I did order the new mini Tonex to try. Maybe you could recommend some captures for me? Thanks for sharing. Oh and a comparison to the Tonex would have been cool but honestly I am to the point that the little bit “better” we strive for, gets buried in a live mix.
Hey thanks for watching and sharing! I like the tone factor captures, amalgam is another one I like, the tone factor stuff is a bit dark, the amalgam stuff is a bit brighter so I think it would depend on your preference. Both offer a free one I believe.
I wish someone would do a video of how the midi functionality works with saving presets. i have tinkered with mine and it loses the presets when i power down the unit. does anyone use the midi capabilities of this pedal?
