Is The Amazon Echo Sub Worth It?
The Amazon Echo Sub came out very recently, and it's tough to tell whether or not it's really worth it. If you read reviews and comments on Amazon's sales pages, you might think it's not that good. In this Amazon Echo Sub review video, I tell you whether or not I think it's really worth purchasing and whether or not you should buy one for the holiday season.
My initial opinion of the Amazon Echo Sub is that it's a very good subwoofer that, when paired with 1 or 2 Amazon Echo Plus or Amazon Echo speakers, becomes an incredible 1.1 or 2.1 speaker set. It's really hard to complain about anything once you hear the sound that comes from those setups.
The other thing about those set up processes is that they're really quite easy. Pairing with another or a set of speakers is really just about getting the Amazon Alexa application on your phone or tablet, pushing a couple of buttons on the app, and voila, you're casting to 2 or 3 Amazon speakers.
The only issue I have with the whole set up is the fact that I can't Bluetooth to these speaker sets. I'd like to see Amazon buffer music into the Echo or Echo Plus and then push it out to the Sub and other speaker at the same time. As of now, Bluetooth does not work and that means you have to use one of the connected services.
