If this was able to connect to my Fire TV I would buy this in a heartbeat. I'm not an audiophile but I do like to fill the house with music from time to time. I would be way more impressed if I could listen to my television through this system. Hopefully Amazon updates this.
infineon1985 clean it with some ! Or I will clean it myself who the hell u think u are 😡 if ur parents didn’t raise correctly I will do the job for them ! if u don’t behave in life there will be consequences and that’s exactly one of them ! Do u think ur better than everyone else ur wrong . No one is better than No one . And if u don’t understand what I am talking here than boi people are going to rip u apart including me
But when he plays it through the speaker you aren't hearing the speaker, you are hearing whatever you are playing your audio through. Him playing the speaker makes no sense and the only way to really know what it sounds like is to actually listen to it in person.
@@cbeilke he's not trying to show what it sounds like, he's comparing with and without subwoofer. Also for reference, the sound in this video is the combination of; the room he is in, the microphone he is using and it's position in the room and what you're playing it through.
This was definitely frustrating the fact that you can’t stream Bluetooth. I pay for Apple Music and you have to connect through the Alexa app. And not only that but you cannot search through Music. Alexa keeps saying that it’s not supported and blah blah blah I hate this so much
People just use blue tooth sound bars that come with woofers. If you're needing a speaker that you want to hook up to a TV and listen to music sound bars are the way to go. What amazon should make is a sound bar with woofer and the alexa built in. That way you can voice control the TV and have great sound and be able to do multi room music. The sound bar will still have to offer multiple outputs as well, especially the optical cable for the TV.
All depends where u put the sub in your home, put it in a corner and your set. If u don’t have the funds to buy an echo sub, but your echo on an enclosed shelf or in a cupboard with the door open and u get massive bass
I actually just got a Amazon echo gen 3 just to see how the bass sounded. Dude, go into weddings and audio controls and make bass go all the way up. Boi!
I mean honestly for this price, you'd be considerably better off with some 6.5" bookshelf speakers and a decent D class amp (something like an SMSL AD18).
Wow, I'm so confused by Amazon thought it'd be a good idea to release this, when it can't stream bluetooth... what's the point of the whole system? Was seriously considering getting it :( Thanks for the review!
I have echo 2 echo studio for my small home theathre set-up and just recently add this echo sub, the result of my set, well, i was sa amazed how much base that is coing out combining them, i feel like i am watching a movie on the big screen!
His voice reminds me of the Apple presenter during the Apple keynotes. He is the older guy who goes over specs and presents the iPhones (not Tim Cook).
Nope. Can’t pair just anything with tvs, I bought the Roku wireless speaker and sub ($300 total) for my tcl tv,…. Rocks my house and neighbors ! I may consider this sub for my 4 echo dots gen 3
I’ve been comparing my 3rd gen echo dot with a studio and sub. And there’s a very clear change in audio quality. The studio makes everything louder and clear while the sub turns it up a notch with enough bass to shake your bathroom. While that echo dot doesn’t have any low sounds period and distorts at high volume. I’d say it’s worth the purchase!
I love my music and have various set ups, including my favourite stereo seperates which cost about £15000 in total. I also have the Amazon sub and 2 echo plus's in stereo. I can honestly say I was really surprised just how good this little set up is. Ok it's certainly not audiophile quality . But for the price it's fantastic value. It works best with Amazon music and the sound quality is great. I would easily put these on par with the more expensive Sonos 1! You really don't need anything more than this little set up unless you're super into sound quality. I'd also suggest that you don't even need the sub or the stereo set up unless you sit down directly Infront of speakers to get the best stereo effect. If you like to listen to music on the go whist in different parts of the room stock to one speaker which will give 360 degrees sound effects and is pretty decent. Well this is my.opinion everybody hears things differently so it's important that you try different set ups. But you won't be disappointed with these speakers. But if they're for music listening go for the echo plus, pay the little extra they're a ton better than the 2 smaller versions.
Not worth it. Only for people who don't know about amazing $300/pair powered bookshelf speakers that have toslink for your TV and even Bluetooth. They can also be controlled by a $20 echò dot.
Find yourself a semi-decent set of 2.1 pc speakers and hook up a cheap ass dot to it. Way better sound quality than you can get with anything from amazon and you can save yourself a hundred or so bucks. Even better if you have old stereo/hifi speakers lying around in the garage/attic with 3.5mm jacks that you aren't using anymore.
I've paired the Echo Sub to my Echo Studio, but the bass volume is almost non-existent despite setting the bass level to maximum in the equaliser setting. I then tried pairing the Sub to the Echo Plus and to my surprise the bass was punchy loud! Not sure why it's so quiet when paired with Echo Studio. The software on the Studio is up to date. I've already raised a ticket to Amazon and awaiting for their response, but was wondering if anyone experiencing this quiet bass issue when paired with the Studio?
I haven’t. I just got mine today and it ROCKS! You could turn down the highs and mids a little but that wouldn’t sound too good. Is the sub working at all? I can clearly notice when it turns on.
True, the bass is totally lacking from the sub, but for its price I wasn't expecting much and my assumption was correct. I basically bought this system because I like toys and that's all it is. Overall the system for its price is impressive and I like it a lot. The best part of the system is that all you have to do is tell it what to do which is a godsend for lazy people like me. I installed the latest update recently and I really haven't noticed any difference in the sound but maybe it's just me.
You're comment about the echo sub it's good but the only problem I've got with the Echo sub Is when I bought my 2 echo svideos I bought one last year and then I bought another 1 in the same year and when I have the 1st 1 it played absolutely brilliant couldn't fault it then I was stereopayed a next echo studio to it and it was absolutely phenomenal brilliant then I invested in a echo sub now this is where the problem started for me is when you put the echo sub 2 To echo you lose the base quality of the echo studios and all the base is gone into Sub And you can hardly hear the sub at all
Love your video, I've got two studios and one sub. I know a little secret how to play your TV through the studios. How to do it is to get two toslink cables and a optical splitter box, then plug them into the back of your studios, the toslink wires from your studios to the splitter box, then plug the box into your optical input socket at the back of your TV.
I was getting ready to buy it I wanted to watch a quick video on it first. Doesn’t connect to the tv??? What’s its point then? If I just wanted to listen to music I’d go through my JBL set up. I’ll buy it when it connects to tv audio. You dropped the ball Amazon.
I’ve got a sub myself and I’ll say, it puts out more bass than you think. It really gets going when you play some dubstep. Also if you go to audio settings into the speaker pair for the sub, you can adjust an equalizer where you can turn up the bass of the speaker pair, which in turn makes the sub even louder.
What about dual echo subs. I wonder how good that would sound… Add a studio into the mix and BOOM. Ultimate bass setup with crystal clear highs, mids, and lows.
The bigger the woofer gets. The lower the frequency it plays but more cloudy the high frequencies get. Vocals are high frequency. A subwoofer doesn’t put out high frequencies but a tweeter does. But Amazon has it codes where the sub won’t try and play the vocals period and only goes straight for those resonating low notes.
I got my dot connected to my sound bar and sub , and I can use it with my tv and also stream music for about the same price for the sub. So no need for this .
@@zaamscalpa . It's many sound bars between 100 to 180 dollars that will do the job. I got a Samsung sound bar with wireless subwoofer and i connect my Dot through bluetooth and works fantastic.
@@imarcoi123 Thank you for responding that fast ! Although I understand there are many sound bars that would do the job in that price range, could you please let me know what model your Samsung sound is precisely (was the subwoofer sold along with it or did you buy it separately ? If so, what brand and model is it ?). Once again, many thanx,
i feel only google and amazon are the only true layers in the smart home game. they have many differences prive ranged devices unlike apple. some with better sound other for just simple voice control where you may not listen to music often and its cheap again unlike apple. i have an iphone but google and amazon just do it way better than apple.
