This week’s question for ‘Wrong Answers Only’ 👇🏽 “What will Casemiro be doing in 2026?” Top answers are getting read out at the end of next week’s show!
Probably a professional photographer, as all he seems to do now when anyone questions if he still can play at the top level, is take pictures of the trophies he won years ago 😂.
He might open a Tackling Academy! Where he teaches aspiring midfielders how to win the ball and “accidentally” take out opponents without getting carded!
Introduce a new coaching strategy where the manager will coach what to do as a midfielder and he will become a coach in that setup that coaches what not to do.

Way too Fragile. If Arsenal win the league it will be win with the hindrance of the fanbase. The volatility of our fanbase I’ve always seen as a problem. City fans are not swayed when 1 or 2 bad things happen
Hi Sheroy, I'm a lawyer in the U.S. who has been very much inspired by the clarity and logic with which you discuss the football club we love. I'm curious though about two things you said close to the end of this fantastic episode. First, if points are points, whether at the beginning of the season, middle of the season, or end of the season, should we be content with walking away with two less points in certain games? This is particularly significant because of the little margins and high standards we're often looking at when it comes to City and, every so often, Liverpool. I ask because points have always seemed fungible to me, regardless of when earned. And given the teams we're going up against, while we can hope to catch up if we fall back, we shouldn't count on it. Second, shouldn't our boys be going into the Etihad looking for a win? Thinking back to Rodri's comments from the end of last season, it could be a significant psychological blow to City to lose at home. Additionally, the two point margin of loss last season comes to mind again. Also, given that our game against City is in our control, it would seem better to go for max points against City, rather than rely on teams that are inferior to ours to take any points off City.
Many thanks for tuning in from the US! Absolutely shouldn’t ever be content with dropping points, my point is more that we needn’t give up all hope when it does happen, because it WILL happen again! Certainly should go everywhere looking for a win, but the reality is, sometimes that doesn’t happen. The Etihad game for me is a must not lose - after this sort of start, with these injuries, coming out of our first five undefeated means we can live to fight another day. It is a LONG season!
@@SheroysVoice Understood. We're on the same page: prospectively, go into the City game for a win; but, retrospectively, immediately post-game, if we end up with a draw, we can't say the season's done.
Sheroy I’m loving your podcast. Really insightful measured analysis. I like the tone you set - asking the club to do all we can and to have faith in the process but also acknowledging the frustrations that are creating a bit of anxiety in the club at the moment. I’m looking forward to hearing more!
As always thank you for you insights Sheroy :). I agree with most of your points, especially when you speak about the reactionary tendencies of football fan when everything don't go according to the "plans". Nevertheless, I also think that this competition against City is a bit detrimental for our mental health. City is an ogre with illimited budget and transfer power. Before to become an established team under Pep, they did a lot of mistake, bad transfers and decisions but that did not hinder them for spending big money every windows. We are not in the same situation and we are just not the same type of club. I just hope our team will be able to carry the pressure of being more perfect than perfection to get it over the line. Even though I would not be surprised to see us crumbling and do not as good as last year. Let's remember that we were the second best Arsenal team of the history, just beaten by one point by the invincibles. Also we had a really lucky year in term of injuries. This season seems to be begin on different basis... Keep the faith and let's do our best against Tottenham !
I feel the same re. MCI being in our heads, I look at how Liverpool went year after year and it must take SO much strength! Hope to see you back here next week mate 🙏🏽
15:30 instrumental parts of man city squad have 8 -10 year head start on Arsenal ! That is our crux ( and it need to be talked about in this equation) for it to be slightly fair on judging where we are at . It is a hard could truth.
@SheroysVoice yes! But at the same time we have to be realistic with it and I feel tha alot of us aren't.. let's just look it objectively and lets learn from the mistakes of others. Chelsea as prime example that you can't replace an entire squad ( starting players and the bench) and make it competitive with man City in one window. It may look like we have had 5 seasons to do it but let's be honest when Arteta came in we were an absolute mess from top to bottom. Getting us to compete with two seasons in a row within those 5 seasons Is truly insane...
Welcome back, nice to hear someone who’s not all doom and gloom. As annoying as it is, as I felt like we had the game in the bag when rice was still on the field. Getting a draw against an in form Brighton with 10 men isn’t an easy feat. We’re only 3 games in, undoubtably city will have a questionable ref decision go against them in a tight game and let’s hope it causes them to draw.
I listen to a few podcasts and feel like i am losing brain cells, but listening to you is always the opposite, always feel i get smarter. Amazing pod! So well balanced! Keep it up mate! ❤
one think i like from sheroy that he always balance, if there is anything bad from our club then he will say it, that is what i want from arsenal fans as content creator same like turkish and curtish who also always balance, not toxic positivity and not toxic negativity
Afternoon mate, another great show. I think this is just not an expected start to the season but it’s going to be a long season. You’re right we do have options but it’s a tough two weeks in the grand scheme of things not the end of the world. Look forward to hearing your next show after the game, Clarence
I have very low expectations for this season and for the next five seasons, too. This club simply will not take the actions required to become elite, and the cups will be abandoned again. I will be pleasantly surprised if they exceed the level I imagine we will achieve
@@RichardJones-p2z edu fault, because he cannot give what arteta need in this transfer window, we should get winger who way better and younger than sterlng but edu failed
Great episode bro. Appreciate you! While I agree there’s been a lot of negative hyperbole from the fan base around the end of the transfer window, I think the club are partially responsible: -the net spend indicates a lack of ambition by the ownership at a bare minimum when trophies are a must - the lack of cover for certain critical positions. We are one major injury to Ode or Saka away from a top 4 race in my opinion - and finally, the clubs track record with coming up short and trying to fix it with PR/merch campaigns. It does them no favors with anyone who sees past the grift The rest of the responsibility is on the modern outrage culture of the internet unfortunately 😂 have a good day brother!
Bro, couldn’t agree more. They’ve been far from perfect for all of those reasons. So glad to see you back in the comments too, I appreciate YOU my guy 👊🏽
Arsenal headloss would reduce by 90% if people had the ability to remember where we were just 3 years ago. It's a very short time in football, but a damn lot has changed
It's official Sheroy, you're my favourite arsenal content creator. Love from Jamaica. By the way, I'm checking to see if you're really going to reply to my comment as well
@@naba2008 we cannot keep calm after trophyless in epl trophy for 20 years and trophyless in ucl for 70 years, we are the biggest club in london, so we must win epl or ucl this season
sheroy is RIGHT when he said we have to using mancity metric for judge arsenal sign sterling on loan or for see what sterling can give to us because if we judge sterling based on him at chelshit then it will be so stupid because arsenal situation and chelshit completely totally dfferent right now, so if we want to see what sterling can give to us then we have to look sterling at mancity aka using mancity metric because mancity style and mancity situation similiar like us also arteta and sterling working together at mancity
Long story short, yes, we as a fanbase are fragile and entitled. Even the support in the stadium has gotten worse since the AA allocation has decreased
not only that City has 3 home games in a row against our 3 away ties (which incl's a European fix. ), they also have an extra day rest, many still unaware we actually play on Thursday in the CL
we cannot only relying to our best defense (like atletico madrid won laliga because of their defense) for winning EPL or UCL or double or treble especially win epl trophy because this is premier league who toughest most competitive league competition number 1 in this world , you have to be perfect and great in defense area and attacking area especially in this era right now more harder because we face GUARDIOLA MANCITY who won treble in 22/23 season
Quick question: is MA capable of getting us over the finish lines. Seems to me like MA is still using Pep’s tactics pre-city’s treble season (false 9 season), hence why he isn’t too interested in out and out striker
Maybe… but for me, someone capable of turning this team into what it is now (from what it was then) is certainly capable of getting us over the line, but when the competition is what it is, he needs every ounce of backing from upstairs.
until when many arsenal fans want defending havertz with using argument like "even Haaland world clas striker had the 2nd most big chances missed last season." everytime havertz missing chance 1 vs 1 against goal keeper, until when arsenal fans want defending havertz using argument like that ?? especially when we need goal for winning games like against brighton, also havertz missing many chance 1 vs 1 against goal keeper last season and this season when against wolves home and brighton home (especially against brighton we need goal so bad for winning games) and also when haaland missed big chance that is no problem at all, you know why ?? because at the same time he made ton of goals and when his team need goal then haaland will be there for give goal to his team because he is elite striker AND ALSO HAALAND IS THE REASON WHY MANCITY CAN KISS THEIR FIRST TREBLE TROPHY IN CLUB HISTORY IN 22/23, THAT IS HOW IMPORTANT ELITE STRIKER IS, REAL TALKK, many arsenal fans more care defend arsenal player than more care to arsenal club for winning trophy and i more care arsenal club for winning trophy than more care about player. if player not good enough then just say it dont defend him because it will be affected arsenal legacy (drop point and trophyless again) when arsenal fans still normalize or defending bad things like havertz missing 1 vs 1 chance when we need goal for winning games and at the same time when we need epl or ucl trophy this season after trophyless epl trophy for 20 years and trophyless ucl trophy for 70 years then normalize or defending player who make bad things (like defending havertz bad things who missing chance 1 vs 1 against GK) that is just so ldlot
I want to see Sterling in the derby, but I think -- if he does get on the pitch -- he comes on as a sub after Nelli has tired out the defense a bit. I would be massively open to seeing Timber in LCM, but I do worry about his fitness this soon into the season. So I imagine we'll have Havertz there and put Jesus in the 9. And, for me, the biggest thing I want to see...is Calafiori in LB. Bro is glorious.
@@SheroysVoice i dont understand why our fansbase alway said "he comes on as a sub after Nelli has tired out the defense a bit. " , and they said like that even when we have sterling who has insane pace like martinelli and has way way way way better football IQ and way way way better then martinelli skill vs skill, we dont need using martinelli again, we can use sterling who not only has pace, that is will be more worth it rather than using martinelli for 70 minutes who only has pace and help defense but poor attacking skill
If Sterling is our regular LW then Martinelli would have allowed himself to be displaced twice by two different players. That means something if it happens and I think we would need to sell him.
@SheroysVoice - franzgrosser may be correctly reading the tea leaves; but here Franz is😊 Count me in as a 'new click'. Listening all the way from Intermountain western U.S., I've added you to my other Gooner p'casters. Have enjoyed your measured take so far! And yes - I'd argue most Gooners are a fragile lot - we are - all modern sport fans, pretty accustomed to, 'now', in accessing our fandom... Based on that, Casemeiro will be an afterthought in '26😅
@@robbieprokop1745 Sheroy is, can be or will be better than most of Gooners podcasters just by his approach. Like you, agree his content and measured approach is enjoyable. I'm just like to pick his eyeballs when it's obvious his leads are click bait.
Yeah i think most that stay calm are those that read and constantly were understanding the project years before it went boom and also prolly just a bit mature. A lot of gooners want this title bad, problem is that will to win makes them over zealous, lack patience with players and find they always need to complain about something
Yeah I’m not immune either, this window was far from perfect etc. but I think it’s just the extremity and venom of the criticism in general that can be quite surprising!
gameweek 3 and its like the titles over pack up “top 4 race”. How many seasons have we watched nothing is certain in the first 10 games, let alone 3. Really intrigued in our starting xi on sunday but I believe we will go there and win properly - Great video bro 🫡
I agree Arsenal fans are sometimes overly sensitive especially in some cases like the ref and red card in last game, however, I really think we were right to be angry about the total negligence of the attacking part of our squad in the summer. It was evident AFC never had intentions of going in for attacking players at all until opportunity of Sterling came up. Why is MA obsessed with defensive players
We have a seriously problem with the squad depth. We have 22 senior players and as things stand 5 injuries and 1 suspended player. So if every single senior player was in the squad against Spurs we'd still need 4 academy players on the bench. Let that sink in. We aren't a fragile fanbase, we are a deluded fanbase who have achieved nothing in the past 4 years and it'll be 5 at the end of this season. We haven't won a PL in 2 decades and never won the CL. This club was made successful off the vision of Sir Herbert Chapman and his vision was further expanded by George Graham, Arsene Wenger and other managers (though Wenger betrayed the fans/players/club for the ownership). Holding high standards is the least this fanbase can do or we can accept that we are a "nearly club" now who will never win the big trophies again and will pick up an FA cup every few years. However, deluding yourself into thinking we are big and we will win the PL/CL comes at a price. You can't set these targets but have 0 standards. You either set the target and uphold high standards or you lower the target and equally lower your standards. You can't have high targets and 0 standards because that is nothing but delusion. We haven't improved in any area barring defence in the transfer window. Guess what, we had the best defence last season so strengthen that area was the least of our concerns. We are weaker in goal, midfield and attack. Neto is not as good as Ramsdale as a backup (and we also made a loss on Ramsdale). We lost Elneny, ESR, Vieira in midfield and got Merino. Sure you can say Merino is better than all three but Elneny was a 6, ESR we a 8/LW, Vieira was a 10. Merino is an 8. We have lost depth. I'd rather have underwhelming players rather than academy players. Attack we lost Nketiah, Nelson and now Jesus to injury and got Sterling. I'd say Sterling is better than both Nketiah and Nelson but does he improve the attack or regress it? I'd say attack has stayed the same, neither gone backwards or forward unlike all other areas. If we had a clinical striker or winger we would 100% won atleast one of the Fulham, Villa or the WestHam game last season. Williams has a release clause of £49mil, Gyokores has a high asking price but that price will now be even higher and 100% we aren't getting him anyway, Toney went for what? £40mil. I seriously don't understand the mentality of this fanbase. Head in the stand, pretending everything is amazing and overly defensive when others in the fanbase want the best for this club. The PL is becoming American, failure is rewarded. No standards, no accountability and anyone call this shit out is as a "hater" or "unrealistic"
you are only looking at the number of players we have, not taking into consideration, Arteta likes to buy versatile players who can play multiple positions, i.e. White, Timber, Odegaard, Zinchenko, Trossard, Havertz, Califlori, Kiwior, Jesus, even Saka can play different positions (he played 3 positions for England) we have a flexible squad, we have quality over quantity but Odegaard is simply irreplaceable, if Vieira was still here, the only agenda would be "he's not good enough" let's be honest, the defence & midfield are sorted, the only area we need to add is in attack, this squad has been built from back to front and we're not finished yet
@@SheroysVoice I'm glad we have a manager who is innovative and forward thinking, football evolves all the time and its a new day, unfortunately the majority of our fans still think this is 90's or early 2000's football, which relates to your video
@@reisssato902 a manager who is yet to replicate his winning ways like he did in his first half season with a squad that was shit. The quicker we are out of this title race the greater our chances of winning a cup or having a serious go at the CL.
For sure we could’ve / should’ve done more with that opening spell - the worry is it does seem to be a recurring theme in the games that we drop points in. Hopefully we remedy it immediately!
I think it might be because of the fanbase not knowing real success. I am 32 and I am lucky to remember the Invincibles and the CL final, despite being a foreign fan. However, I am afraid that if Arsenal doesn't win anything this year, it will be a total headloss for the fanbase and perhaps Arteta might think to actually leave... The fans are scared because of what they’ve lived through n they have a right to be enough is enough that’s all they are saying 21 years now it’s valid
Absolutely valid - but it does seem at times like this manager is held accountable for the sins of those that came before him / those above him by certain sections. In my opinion anyway!

@@SheroysVoice we cannot blame arteta about arsenal trophyless for 20 years and we all know arteta part of that trophyless BUT only 4 years because arteta become arsenal coach just 4 season, so i get that what you mean sheroy , but the reason we choose arteta because we believe that arteta can end this pain (trophyless epl trophy for 20 years and trophyless ucl trophy for 70 years) that is why we cannot waiting for long time, who ever become arsenal coach then he must immediately END THIS PAIN FOR GET EPL OR UCL TROPHY ASAP !!, that is it, especially arsenal already title race 2 season in row with finished second. so how many times that we have to finished second again for get EPL trophy ?? the answer is we dont need finish second anymore right now, we must win epl trophy this season
Big up Sheroy. Gooners definitely a fragile bunch. I’ll admit I’m fragile but honest, considering I’ve seen the highs of us in the 90s and early 2000s. Ideally I would have like to get a replacement or improved depth for Partey and Jesus. I personally would have sold them both this summer, especially considering with injury and contract is running down. I was initially against the Sterling loan, but I can see it being a good signing. I would experiment Ethan in the left 8, and Timber at the 6.

@fantasticdeviant absolutely. @@SheroysVoice that guy who think that "we are the only one most over emotional, over sensitive, reactionary fanbase in world football", that sound look like he living in the cave, infact every fansbase big club in social media and in real life(except mancity fans) will super reactional, angry and emotional when drop point especially if they club like arsenal who trophyless epl trophy 20 years and trophyless ucl trophy 70 years and need win major trophy so bad and especially drop point against mid table AT HOME, so the reactional and emotional and angry is normal,
I said before that I have faith in the squad as it is, even if we didn't sign anyone. We have signed players since then. I still feel we're a player short, but it's something we can manage. Remember we are not the only team near the top spots that are a player light. In fact, some of them are several players light.
Hell yeah man! Also don't get me wrong, this was not an ideal window for us by some stretch, and I do think we will make a January signing that will affect our squad positively. For now though, I've got hopium to burn and a team and a manager that has given me plenty of good reasons to have hope.

I'm sure you've heard about the average age of our squad enough over the last 2 seasons. I've waited 20 since I've seen the invincibles, I'll wait another one. As far as Europe goes, I have no idea. It's not something we have done as a club and it's not as simple as just winning. We are as closer than we have ever been to the top behind arguably the best club team in league history. Virtue signalling and toxic positivity from a section of the fan base is actually the worst of all traits in my opinion. Only at Arsenal, fans are called fragile and negative even after 20 years of mediocrity and lack of ambition from the club. That is Gaslighting at its best. Fake Arsenal content creators and so called club ambassadors ( former players turned business people) also help set the narrative and encourage the toxic positivity from some section of the fans and this keeps the fanbase divided which works just fine for the people running the Club.
