“The A45 AMG would not see where this had gone”. You speak the truth my man! I had a stage 1 A45 AMG and now have the facelift RS3, and the RS3 would monster the A45! It really isn’t even close. And that’s a stage 1 A45!!!
I just bought the RS3 back in May... before that I had an 2017 M3 comp. Off the line the Audi is much quicker/faster and of course spirited driving on damp roads is a much different experience. The M4 is a more pure sportscar, but I think the Audi RS3 is a better car. Plus you are saving about $20K on the Audi. Tough decision, but I don't think you could go wrong with the RS3
@@alexpreyale6227 The M3 is still the standard, don't get me wrong. But having lived with both, it's not worth $25-30K than an RS3. You willing to piss away money for that M power, go right ahead. I'll smoke you off the line in the RS3, I'll keep up with you on a track, and 1/4 mile is right about the same.
First content I’ve watched of yours, very well delivered, good balance of how far to go into the technical detail before becoming boring. Some work on camera work, b roll and cinematography but presentation is spot on 👌🏻
I can't believe they made such a beautiful car. Straight back to the roots with a gloriously engineered engine. It sounds like a throwback to the best days in Motorsport. And they SUCKED ITS BLEEDING SOUL OUT with an automatic transmission.
I think your reviews are there at the top with the very best, maybe the cinematics aren't on par with other high budget productions, but man you have a sense and knowledge for/about cars. Please review the audi a5, one of my favorite cars and imo one of the best looking 4/5 door cars.
Great review. Never had any understeer in my RS3 Sportback on the public road. Need the magnetic dampers and sports exhaust when speccing. Best engine in a hot hatch. Love them👍👍👍😎
Awesome. Love the RS3, although you have to be very careful with spec. Much prefer the saloon - especially when kept subtle. Easily re-mapped to 500ps too (i.e. Litchfield)
hdmk213 some heavily modded rs3 saloons are running 9 secs quarter mile, a 500bhp stage 1 map saloon did 195mph on the autobahn and 0 to 60 in 2.9 secs. Bonkers

Just one thing though, I had also been toying with the idea of a 140i M Sport instead of the RS3. In your review you really rated Audi interiors over other manufacturers. Are Audi interiors/cockpits superior to equivalent BMW marques?
The back end and front end screams out performance but the sides do look a little tame,see what you mean.Never noticed under steer in my mk2 TTs.Pushing it in the rain is exciting the back will break traction 😳 The RS 3 looks and sounds bloody awesome 👏🏁🍻 I do feel the price tag is a bit heavy..
Great review Sid. It's like a baby GTR in the way that you can just get in it and destroy the asphalt. A drivers' car? Likely not, but it is a wicked daily, and I can't wait till I take delivery.

I'm sorry but you are wrong, that engine won't be changed anytime soon, coz it's economic and has the ability to put up horses very easy without changing any internals, but both RS4/5 must get a bigger engine more than 2.9, they have to put 3.4 or something like that and must put more horses like 500 bhp.
Honestly you'd only be able to tell the difference between this and the S3 saloon by the wheels,exhaust and front grill but quality content as usual mate
phantom2k10 the s3 won’t know where the rs3 went. S3 is quick as it’s same pace as a golf r, but the rs3 is much quicker. S3 to 100mph is 13 sec, rs3 is 8 sec
i googled it audi clames 4.1 to 100 kph ...some on here are saying 3.7 ..car sales new audi says 4.1...so yes 3.7 with work done mabee ..a45 4.2 to 100 ive got gla45 with all amg options and love it good feedback and if you want to race in any of these hot hatches its all about if your willing to loose your licence ill hold mine flat out till you back off that dont make me a winner makes you smarter..all the same speed ...can up the power as well on my 45 no point ..around corners ive got amg front diff lock over standard limited slip ..id hope you could get that on audi..im quick through very sharp bends...3.8 is a45 fastest on utube 430 hp..mine stock has 380 hp...buy what you like both awsome cars.
Great car, have one. Perfect daily driver. Not cheap but then so is an a45 and that has nothing special about it. Could’ve got a year old m3 but they are not good daily drivers, don’t let idiot reviewers fool you as they are only good track cars... my mate had one and he doesn’t rate them and prefers his m2
Too much money for an A3 based car. If you add up the components it has over the A3 it doesn't add up to being twice as expensive. And as much as you love the interior it's still a budget A3 interior nothing really special. What you are paying for here is the engine. But when you look at the price there should be other options included as well. Plenty of options are missing here for a vehicle at it's price point. The RS3 is no bang-for-the-buck. Great car though, but I'd prefer for it to differentiate itself from the A3 more visually. Kinda like what Audi did with the RS5 and BMW did with the M2 to differentiate those models from the base models.
It just isn't as good to drive as something like an M2. A lot of people say it's immensely fast in a straight line, but just not very exciting or engaging as a driver's car. Sad because it has the best engine note of any superhatch
Tom Clayton - Perhaps you’ve been reading my comments. LOL. It is fast from a dig and EXPLOSIVE at highway passing speeds, but once you get used to the exhaust note and the brutality, it is quite sterile and boring. I hate to say that because I was an early adopter in late 2017 and paid sticker, but I have way more fun in the MY18 Focus ST I just picked up to share the garage with it simply because it’s a manual. I don’t care how much faster DCTs are. They are completely soulless. If I’m going to be that bored with it, I might was well have something with way more utility like an SQ 5, or an X3 M40i, but I’d lose my ass on it at the moment in a trade, or sale.
Ya I have an S3 right now, but just ordered an M2 Comp the other day instead of the RS3. The Audi 3s are great cars, but they lack excitement for some reason. Plus, you can’t get them with a manual gearbox in the states and paddle shifters just aren’t the same. So now I wait for delivery...
I never take notice of these things once I'm driving. Sure, a nice interior feels great at first but the novelty wears off quite quickly. In a digital world the last thing I need is a fancy screen staring at my face.
Shittest thing about the a3, if you’re not a midget, the damn B pillar is right next to your face. Limits the view and in a side impact/roll accident, it may kill you.

Sounds fake?! Dude it’s pretty much the V10 of the Huracan/R8 and with a turbo. And you can definitely hear the family resemblance, I think it sounds incredible and I’ve driven one. Perfect daily with the Quattro. Not as focused as say an M2 though
Billeh i’ve also been in one but the hatchback which in my opinion is better nd the sound , it’s probably just my speaker because it sounded like a vibrating gurgle but audis r known for there sounds n i’m more of a beamer guy

I haven't driven one, no. However I do generally trust what the majority of motoring journalists have said. That it's dynamically flawed car, making the most of what it has. Given the choice I'd take the M2 Competition or Alpine A110 over this any day of the week. Speaking of which, Sid have you had any news from Alpine for a test drive?
Cameron MMJ ofc all motoring journalist will say this car is flawed since it’s not a rwd baised car. Since that’s all they care about. Have you seen the price list for the new m2 competition ? Makes the rs3 seem like a bargain.
