After 3 months of researching, I bought a P1P! I am a complete beginner, however I watched a ton of RU-vid videos and been on reddit forums since I wanted to learn the whole aspect such as the actual printers, printing settings(e.g. temperature, speed), and different problems people have. The P1P has been great, I've had it for 2 weeks now and have printed so many useful things(gridfinity storage boxes, honeycomb storage, plant brackets, reptile/aquarium tools and equipment). A lot of the different issues can be solved by playing around. Sometimes someone who has what looks like the same issue as another, is due to a different problem. The P1P isn't perfect but once you figure out your environment(is your room cold?/do you have enclosure?),filament, as well as the settings in the slicer, then you'll solve a lot of problems to get perfect prints.
What design software do you use and what types of software will work on the printers. Also is the the designs plug n play into the printers. Schematics wise.
Thank you for the review. Have you had any issues with layer line inconsistencies that some users are reporting? I’m thinking of pulling the trigger one a p1p but am hesitant because I print with a lot of shiny filaments that would make this issue seem worse.
There is a simple fix for printing shiny/silk filaments. You can change outerwalls to 50mm/s or lower and leave inner walls to 200-300mm/s. You can retain the BL speed advantage and get the "shiny" look on your prints.
Did the print quality drop over time? I enjoyed your video but it seemed like your experience was still pretty positive. I actually just noticed your follow up video. When did your issues start?
how’s the reliability been compared to your ankermake m5s ? i was looking at getting a P1P have 2 prusa mk3s+ at the moment and an anker starting my own little print farm 😅
Hmm I don’t think I’ve had enough hours on either machine to truly know. I think I am favoring the bambu slightly more, but I am happy with my ankermakes. I wish anker released more accessories/ parts tho. Bambu is doing good about that
Hii! I have so much problems with warping on my brand new P1P, i tried everything i have knowledge about but nothing works, i also puet some Lack on the bench but still not working at all. Do you know which can be the problem?? Thank you so much, and great video!!
I hope its ok to jump in. Jake is correct. You should use soapy water to clean(free). You can skip the IPA(from what I saw from BL forums) A few questions did your P1P come with or are you using an Aux fan? If it did try turning it off or position your part away from it and test. How big is the part in relation to the bed? Small, medium, large surface area? Can you describe the part you are printing? You can use an adhesive like "vison miner nano polymer". It's a little pricey($45 for 120ml) but works great on all bambu lab build plates. It works as an adhesive and release agent and wont leave a residue on parts. Cleans with water, ipa. You should get about 300 applications with that and you can go 10-20 prints before reapplication. You can stretch it further but just coating the area you are printing on.
Prusa is not realizing the new changes, yet focused on shitty things. I asked them many times when we will have better mk3s+ with the mini screen and the new tech! Always dead end unfortunately. Even though I liked the Prusa, right now I'm looking for Bambulab
