I think they're going to be tough to stop😤. The guy from 247 brought up a good point. He said that JJ was able to freeze the 3 level at times because of his arm but Orji will freeze the 2nd level. The D coordinator will be forced to shade a Linebacker or safety to him on top of that , Cover 2 could be victim to his scrambling. You're kind of screwed either way. He throws well on the run and from different arm angles as well😂.
Moore and Campbell see these guys everyday against the Michigan D-line. Did you watch the Spring game 😂. They were blitzing Alex and wouldn't let him design run and he was still getting his and he had two drops. Act like you know what you're talking about👉
Michigan’s offense was 14th in points per game and 15th in time of possession but didn’t dominate in terms of yardage (well outside the top 50). What that tells me is Michigan made the most of each drive, were patient, efficient and didn’t turn the ball over. As long as we don’t start passing more with our new OC (and aren’t afraid to run the ball 32 straight times if needed) then I think we’ll be just fine this season.
You have to take into account that most of the starters didn’t play in the fourth quarter for a majority of the year… that skews the overall stats and a big reason why JJ didn’t throw for 3000 yards.

Ohio State is the most loaded team in all of college football, and will beat the crap out of Michigan this year in Columbus, on their way to an undefeated season, and a legitimate National Championship as well! I think the offensive line is the main reason why the offense is holding their own. Tackles are an upgrade from last year and the guards have a chance to be elite.

Balance means: If you can't stop the run then we will run. If you do commit to stop the run then Michigan has you where they want you because they are ready and capable of deep shots, RPO's and screens. If they stop ALL of that... Then it comes down to QB on 3rd & 5/10
Michigan will be better then most people think. UM is not a team that is a quarterback centered offense. As long as there aren’t QB turnovers we will be just fine! New team but same smash mouth football! Go Blue!
Orji needs to prove to be an elite runner and at least an average thrower for us to have success. We don’t know what Donovan will do because he has been inconsistent. That’s not gonna work for our offense. We need positive yardage regularly. So if both those guys show out, we will be unstoppable. But will they? Seems unlikely but it is possible. Remember, even when we had just decent QB play, we couldn’t compete with the elite. It wasn’t until JJ could make box crowders pay with his arm when we broke through. Orji MUST be a decent passer or we are done.
I mean if JJ McCarthy is just a handoff merchant why would the offense even drop off? Jokes aside, if the run game stays strong, all we need the QB to do is make some plays here and there. Alex Orji has the mobility that I think would be helpful for the offense if he's the starter. If it's Davis Warren, the offense probably looks like a lesser version of what it was with McCarthy, but in terms of passing maybe ends up being more reliable.

Only one thing worries me about our offense - Donovan Edward's vision when behind the line of scrimmage has to VASTLY improve for this offense to get to championship level. As a RB there's a certain FEEL you have to have, navigating a maze of linemen. Corum had it last year, Donavon didn't. He struggled a ton because he pounded the ground like a sprinter straight away and kept getting tripped up. Hopefully being the starter with no pressure behind you give him a little more patience to work on timing when to hit the hole

As it was last year, and the two previous years, Michigan cheated, and even with cheating they only beat Ohio State last year by 6 points! If not for McCord not being elite, like the previous quarterbacks prior to McCord, and throwing that ugly interception early in the game, it took Michigan 4 downs at the 5 yard line to score.by the way, Ohio State would have won the game! Man the defense is the same as last year. Michigan still has a nationlal champion defense. If the offense can get some scoring drives against them maybe the offense is just as good as the title of this vid claims 😉
