Actually I wanted to answer this question, so I went to the edge. It took many weeks of planing how to get to the North Pole, so I first had to apply for a program that would send me tho these parts. I spent about 6 months studying and after getting approved I had to pay a 20,000 dollar fee. As I was off, there was massive amounts of turbulence but we eventually landed at the edge. I was shocked at the fact that we had actually been lied to. I stepped closer to the edge as I looked into the void and thought about how this could change every thing about my life. GPS is done through triangulation of ground towers and has no satellite component.. go too far from a tower lose GPS etc.. as for the stick in the ground thing local sun.. lunar eclipse is a natural phase of the moon.. it's always cycling.. new moon almost perfect eclipse for example.. north/south seeing constellations/ moon differently is from a local moon same as sun and on a 2d plane with north as the center and south being the outer perimeter your view would invert depending where you are oriented to the Ecuador as true north would reside at the exact center like a bullseye on a dart board

The thing that absolutely kills the flat earth theory is that we atmosphere, an atmosphere means that we have a magnetic field, and a magnetic field means gravity. Gravity pulls on every millimeter of the earth equally. So if the earth turned flat at this moment, then in a few moments later it would be a sphere again.

I just realised that when flat earthers model the flat earth its always a circle. The only real reason for this is that even flat earthers are used to seing prictures of the globe from space where it looks circular.

I met a flat earther online, and he said that the sun was directly above Earth. The sun would go around the Earth, making timezones a thing. Another part of his theory is that the Earth is bigger than the sun. He thought that the other planets did not exist and were made up. He also thinks the moon was made up. He thinks that there is a giant ice wall at the edge of the Earth. The ice wall is so large that we can't go over it. He's one of the craziest people I have ever met
