I didn't mention it in the video, but one other issue with the system is that veteran players have to go back and research an ENTIRE line just to buy something that they already unlocked. This won't affect new players at all since they won't be skipping unlocks, so this problem will disappear as the game goes on. But IMO, its a big "screw you" to the veterans and is, IMO, entirely unnecessary.
pacific and tunisians squads playing on Normandy maps? da f , historically incorrect to boot, and ur right allies get stomped level 5, fn joke, havent seen a pacific or tunisian map yet, dude plz post in enlisted forums maybe they wil listen
@@rbuk2112 yup they must be products of incest or something to think that it's a good idea. No hate towards quadro but the enlisted devs just ruined the game I see almost all negative comments about the merge. Also tired of seeing "if you want historical accuracy go play hell let loose" like if I want to play who just shot me simulator I'd go play rising storm 2 Vietnam
Totally fucked my opinion of enlisted. At least the before the merge I could get research. Now I'm getting obliterated by tiger 2 h when the best tank I have is a jumbo or the 76 a2 Sherman Planes rockets and bombs are scuffed
that must be a bug or mistake because if I had wanted it to be that way I would have simply appeared this previous technology alert before I could if I wanted to investigate it
10:35 - yes, exactly - removing the possibility to choose a campaign was the most a***ole move in this whole merge. It is the main reason why many people demand returning to the old Enlisted. Not only it enables the situation that you land in a campaign you don't want to - it turns this whole game from a climatic, immersive war simulator where rou could actually feel you now take part in battles in some certain geographic location in a certain period of World War 2 (thanks to the certain pool of machines, weaponry and squads with their historic origin), into a simple unlock-fest of gear and random groups of soldiers from a tree with tiers arbitrarily programmed by the devs. I felt like I lost connection with the game the moment they merged everything.
You damn right guys! The campaign sistem was very immersive, the literally fuckd up.. at least they could put back campaign and mantain tears for each campaign with the weapon upgrade sistem and incelrement he amount of silver earned ( Because I'll tell you I see when a game is worth to buy or not and for where we are going here I will never give a dollar to this people, why just ruin the historic part of a game ?)
Exactly. Why would I want to get stomped by full auto Germans with Tiger II's every match? I just wanted.to play as the Marines in the Pacific, it was early war, it was interesting, and it was fun. Now it's just dog shit unless you're playing as the Germans. If you mained Germany, congratulations, you made the correct choice. Enjoy fighting other Germans in a year when the queue times skyrocket because nobody is playing anything else and Gaijin loses its shit because long queue times must be purged.
I know! I played Enlisted because I could choose which campaign I wanted to play, but now I'm just depressed, actually depressed, not just saying that. I just pray that they bring the campaigns back before too long. I could hop in and out until I land on the campaign I want but that's awful.
Yep - 'merged' into US and German. You can play them, but now you might get your Desert Rats fighting in the Pacific; a theatre they never fought in! The cool thing about the restricted campaigns was they clearly cared enough to create units that fought in the respective theatres. Now it's all just jumbled shit. If I want to use a Thompson with my US soldiers fighting in 1942 I get forced into Normandy. It's awful
@@rhysthomas2876you are correct man , now all smashed together . Use to love the options to choose theatre and that’s what separated enlisted from the rest . Now it’s just another game I’m going to slowly give up on . I played in April 2021 right when it came out and told my self I’ll never search for another ww2 game . Spoke to soon
@@rhysthomas2876 That´s right, I think that the merge is a kind of fine idea, but what I don´t like is that brits and italians are absorved by the US and the german army, and I think that they should be separated in different trees. It could make way for new campaigns like the invasion of Sicily or Operation Dynamo. I also think that those armies could fight along their allies in certain campaigns or battles, like North Africa, and it could also be good for future nation trees, like the romanians or the french. Also I think that you should have like a campaign selector for those campaigns you don´t actually wanna play, and the matchmaking should have that in mind in order to put you in one campaign or another.
I know this thread is old but the British did in fact fight in the Pacific and South East Asia, they just weren't the big player of that theatre compared to America.
@@cmac007 I mean, there's tradeoffs. I think there's a argument to be made for Tier IV and V Allied tanks being able to deal with KTs in CQC if you're able to get close and smoke their barrels with your short-stop stabilizers, I've done it. I really can't expect a guy who just unlocked his M4A2(75)D Sherman to do the same.
@@Kiwi9552 IMO they should make it so that you get more XP if you win a match with "lower than match average" squad. I've been testing out playing with BR3 now. Sometimes you fight against BR1-2 and sometimes 4-5. No big difference on spread. 10 matches, maybe 8 victories. Only difference is that high tear matches are more of a cluster f*ck. Spamming of nades, molos, rockets, whatever.. This is why I prefer lower tier matches more as I feel that takes more skill and tactics.
Before this I was level 14 in the pacific, with only Springfields, Garands, Carbines, Stuarts, and BARs, now I get to face squads from battle of Berlin with assault rifles and machine, alongside tigers, this is not balanced, when I played the pacific it was very balanced, I was getting great fun game play with tense and amazing gameplay experience.
Imagine what its like for berlin players right now. We get nothing but Normandy cancer. You're not the only ones who's campaign got messed with. Fight through and wait until the merge becomes what it's meant to be.
its really sad because Tier III has the most variety but you literally cannot use it when you get bottom tier against StGs and KTHs 4/5 times If equip even just ONE Lee Enfield or SMLE, I am instantly able to queue against wehraboos with all FG 42 IIs. Not balanced at all, which is why Tier II is best atm
Fully agree. That one Item already puts your whole loadout into another Tier is just nuts. Also Tier 3 should be totally reworked, because as it is right now, you usually get your ass whopped, because you end up against T4/5 most of the time. Largely the tier categories makes sense, but as said before, the Grant and Crusader are OP in T2 Just my Humble opinion
Oh the balance is completely fucked. Garands at Tier 4? That puts me against late war automatic German rifle squads. I just wanted to play as the Marines in the Pacific, now I'm getting cut stomped by Tiger II's in Normandy.
My main gripe is what sorta qualifies as tier 2. For some odd reason, Enlisted thinks both a Japanese 37mm paper mache tank and a Grant/Crusader qualify for tier 2. If anything, there should be a tier 6 just to further separate these 2 ends of the spectrum.
The fact the Japanese get the Ho-I (which has a 75mm) at BR 2 is stupid. Not only that but the Chi-Ha short gun is at BR 3 even though it has less armour than the Ho-I that being said it does have a 120mm derp gun
Yeah the Americans seem so OP in the pacific now you can bring all your squads and guns over from the other campaigns while the Japanese just stay the same
Yeah, my big issue is the fact that the Lee Enfield rifles are all in Tier 3, yet the BREN II is in Tier 2. Yeah, logic went out the window with this fuckin' merge and I already miss the campaign system.
@MadMinuteMan yeah I miss separated campaigns already too. Like I specifically play Normandy and hope I get to play dday. But now with all the campaigns merged the chances of playing a certain map are even lower
@@J.Wolf90, it makes me laugh when content creators claim that this merge is vital for the sustainability and survivability of the game. Yeah, well how in the hell can REMOVING a fuck load of content and making it unobtainable for new players be beneficial for the sustainability and survivability of the game?? The people who pushed for this merge have absolutely ruined the game. I'm seeing mass U.K offensives in Guadalcanal and Mass Italian counteroffensives in Berlin. What the fuck happened to this game, man.
I enjoyed this game because of the separate campaigns. I had been maining the Pacific Campaign as the Marines, now I'm getting into games against Germans using King Tigers. I don't like this and will most likely not be playing Enlisted anymore because of it.
The americans are so boring now, those desert maps where you just sit in a house the whole match "defending" it, i put quotations because if it wasnt for the afk kicking system, i could just put my controller down and still win.....i also used to avoid 1 of the factions due to 1 map that has the objective "cave house", that map is not optimal for my playstle as my soldiers would just commit suicide by throwing theirselves down those big holes
I uninstalled the game after the merge. I really enjoyed the campaign system and progression. I also liked how vehicles and soldiers were locked to the theatre they actually fought in. Sad reality… I enjoyed the game a lot and it breaks my heart to see the merge turn everything upside down. Oh well time to go and try out he’ll let loose.
Yeah how have you liked HLL? I played for about a month when it came to Xbox game pass and it's so much fun but way way harder to grind. But for a free game enlisted is soooooooooo good and $45 for HLL is outrageous to me
I’m gonna be completely honest with the both of you. I hadn’t actually gotten around to playing HLL. I’ve actually been playing Helldivers and I’ve been hooked on it since.
@@anothergermanmainyou get the squad, since there are no longer the large "campaign" level windows it just shows the gun but you can see the squad if click on: the premium gun and then there will be "Weaponry" and "Squad" buttons, if you click on the squad you will see the name of the said squad.
BR 3 people are abusing the MM, quitting BR 4-5 battles and bullying in BR 1-2. I think it could be better implemented as a +1/-1 MM instead of the way it is right now.
I use the Italian tier one ab 10 with the crew using level 4 smg uptiering it and bully level 4 players will people just quit complaining and learn the game
@@maineiacman nope it's litterly broke on some maps because it's not ment for it can you usually drive around in a factory with a vehicle and race around the map and cause disarray then be on another street in 2 seconds and getting out and destroying rally that you hear while driving it's like a half track with 20 mm Canon on it and 4 crew with smgs so I can cap zones two
I like how equipping just one(1) higher BR gun instantly changing your overall BR as if one shitty MP40 or M1 Garand will make you that much overpowered, lazy and rushed balancing design
Yes, this should by change to something more balanced and more closer to historical. Not even one piece of mp38 in ter I but is posible to take full 3 squad with 9 rifle granades each on tier II, this is bullshit now.
It actually took me around an hour to set up my squads and tier presets for just 2 nations and honestly I'm not playing soviets just cause I don't wanna go through that work again
The good from my experience as a sort of veteran of Normandy. None of those damn cards- No longer having 200 bronze gear cards but needing silver to purchase a pistol for my engineer or AT soldier who can't steal a 2nd weapon. Dramatically expanding the map pool for factions- the USA gets pacific, Europe and Africa maps with shared progress between them, no longer losing access to upgrades because you decided to swap between pacific and Europe. Improved research, letting me pick what I actually want to unlock- Before I was forced to unlock a bunch of random crap I never intended to use but now I can focus on the weapon types I want and which vehicle type I prefer. The Bad: Having to fill holes in tech trees- such as researching the boys AT rifle to unlock and buy the m1 bazooka Still being locked to one vehicle on free accounts- this is worse because with the new faction vehicle balance is randomized, Japan has shit tanks but an airforce that out turns anything the USA can fly, requiring critical damage from the start or you may aswell bail out, while German tanks are solid enough to be a real threat and there airforce is more similar in maneuverability.
The grind is much, much worse now for new players, since the campaign system let you play with multiple eras of hardware and get relatively fast unlocks for each of them to start off with, which was relatively fun and engaging. However, with the new system, if you want to play with any of the iconic weapons or vehicles of the war, your choices are hundreds of matches worth of grinding or crippling yourself by playing tier II or III without the ability to buy tier II or III soldiers for your squads for hundreds of matches. I would guess that new player retention is going to fall pretty hard after these changes unless they massively reduce the grind.
I stand by my comment in an earlier video in that not being able to choose a campaign sucks. I've never, ever had a problem with matches being populated by bots. If anything, the matchmaking became more stable before the merge. I hate to say it (as I loved the game) but I still see no reason to play now the freedom has been taken away. I am a very casual player that bought a premium account once, and several battle passes. For me, the merge has destroyed the game and any semblance of authenticity that it used to have
you don't know what stable matchmaking means. It means new players not ragequitting because they suck ass with bolties and get destroyed by a verteran with levelled gear and just assume it's because they bought levels. then the see the premiums and automatically think all the premuim guns are literally the hands of god himself. So they don't play. They don't take the time to realize that all that is BS. The merge stops this, to quite an extent, because it seperates the vets with stacked gear from the bots who don't know the game yet.
Only issues I have at br 2 is that some matches have a spam load of airborne being dropped. Other than that, The Grant fighting against Japan tiny tanks is a bit of an issue, but one guy with a good bomb drop or that new Japan TD makes short work of them.
I don't like the merge due to the lack of variety of camos for each maps settings where I could use a lower tier Moscow or Stalingrad squad and get stuck in North Africa with white camo or vise versa, with a lack of late war allied tanks made to deal with Germany's big cats (plus the removal of British and Italian troops). I feel they could've added a preferred and unwanted map selector so if you wanted to play only Normandy maps you don't get "forced" to play other maps as well as generic camo for each map that fit's with each squads "style" so you don't look out of place in the green fields of Normandy wearing pacific, desert, or winter camo.
Tier 1 is fun when you face other Tier 1/2 players. But the amount of time you face Tier 3 is downright stupid. Not to mention the complete disregard for vehicle balance; the M4A2 76 is the same BR as the TIGER TWO. It's also very weird that they put many BR 3 weapons into Tier 4 when there is plenty of room to put them into Tier 3.
the thing is tier 3 lacks good guns for just about every country. At least in the tree. The garand is sort of overrated, the M1A1 is alright, germany really doesn't have anything there, the Soviets only have the SVT 38, the PP box isn't special, and Japan is japan.
The main counter to the king tiger for the allies is the Pershing but as far as I know it first appeared in the battle of cologne so 1944/45ish so maybe the Ardennes will bring it but till then if you have aphe you can capola it or if your fast with a good gun flank it just hopefully you don’t get spotted. As far as tier 3 is it should only fight tier 2-4 because tier 5 curbs stomps it and it stomps tier 1 Edit: Do to it being irrelevant before in my opinion and I completely forgot about it until Admiral Starks mentioned it there is a save load out option for your troops. They have their own presets you can save so you don’t have to press 20 buttons just one after you create, save and then load
Exactly what makes a game like this interesting is the Nations strengths and weaknesses, allies have better CAS planes while Germany has better ground vehicles. @@-_Hatred_-
You hit the nail on the head in your last section of this video with the overall lack of polish. Most of the other issues I can work through but the over "half baked" feeling of the game has really dragged me away from investing more time into the game, seeing it still very much be present with this new highly anticipated update feels so deflating. The game needs a Siege style "operation health" I kinda thought this was gonna be that but guess that's my bad
The reason why so many people say the grind is worse is because they have to go back and unlock all those tanks and stuff they never unlocked and didn't want to, and they increased the prices to get them so you have to get more expensive bad tanks to get that one tank you want at the end of the line, in addition to all the other lines if you want to get something specific in, and matchmaking is not in that great of a ple right now due to T3 players in Shermans quitting all high matches till they get a downteired match where nothing can front pen them, in addition to the flamethrower and GL spam they also carry
Great video quadro, the merge has a ton of positives added to the game, with some issues to iron out like my personal biggest issue being the presets. If they fixed presets, it would be perfect for me personally, it's the only thing holding me back from building up other tier lineups.
The merge has only 2 positive changes: grind and fewer bots. BUT. And this is a big but! As you said Quadro in the problem section. The whole game is too complicated now. I have been playing enlisted for 3 years. I also downloaded the test server before merge. When the game opened I said: WTF??? I immediately switched it off. I don't want to spend hours in squad management! Also removing campaigns???ffs! Now i stopped palying for a while because I am so mad. They could have improved the gameplay without these ridiculous shites. Overall I am really disappointed...in my opinion enlisted can be one of the "good" examples how to completely ruin a game and get rid of veteran players!
The main issue keeping Enlisted from drastically growing are american players booting the game up, playing American Normandy, and getting absolutely shredded by StG vets, and thinking that the whole game is then p2w, not taking the time to play the actually fun campaigns, and never learning their guns, hence never being able to counter veterans, and they ragequit the game and shit on it everywhere they see it. The only solution is matchmaking changes to keep god-tier vets out of noob matches. And the merge did that.
I also enjoy Low-Tier games more now. I think the low tier profited most from the merge. And finding matches fast is so nice. Of course People scream now that high tier is toxic, but i guess that's what you need to prepare for, when you play agains lots of players with high tier gear. And I don't think that Vitality is such a strong perk, imo it's actually pretty overrated. I don't use it at all, i go for the 50% down chance on fatal shots, 75% medpack usage and 200% regained health, it's like a second life, and I'd rather take 2x14 HP instead of just 16 HP
I think the extra vitality really shines in low tier games. Especially soldiers the the BSA Welgun paratroopers with an extra 16% on top of the 35% you can add. The extra health really throws off damage models of the early smgs, making you tank several extra bullets at medium range. But for high tier I really like your perk setup
Low tier, vitality. Chance of fatal shots for high tier where any weapon deletes you in a one-shot or double-tap anyway. the problem with 200% healing is that in order to max it out, you need med kits, therefore giving up the ammo pouch or grenade pouch which are more useful. In any case, i like your setup, which now makes more sense than it used to.
@@darthioan One Medkit restores all Health with the 200% perk. I don't have Backpacks on my soldiers, only the Tankers so they can have 2 Medkits and 2 Repair kits.
I prefer the new system. Never really cared that all my effort could only be used in one campaign. I played Normandy way too long because I wanted a Sherman unlocked. Consequently, I never actually played anything else because even if I did get my Sherman, I couldn’t use it in the pacific. The new system is better in my opinion. The only change I would make is rename “USA” to “Allies” - I’m a proud American sure but I know my British and Canadian friends wouldn’t want be listed under USA as I wouldn’t want to be listed under “Crown Commonwealth”.
-Low tier is not back atm, you still have a posibility to face tier 5 as it stands right now. Many complains about this already. -the grind is worse for veteran players who only played one campaign. Like i was researching the MG-15, but i couldn't unlock because i was missing the ZB-26 from the mg line. The line cannot have any gaps in them. And that is the part why it is worse -terms of variety, i've been keeping track post merge of what campaigns i get each tier (for Germany) there is like 2 or 3 matches difference in each campaign per tier, so it is nicely balanced. Haven't seen Moscow or Tunisia yet in tier 4/5 -perks are good, but it's a lot of micromanagement atm. Which is really annoying. -with Ardennes offensive coming soon, and devs stating that ''fun toys'' may be coming with it, i may assume we do get a m26 pershing with it. Even though the pershing -squads should work with free customization as you mentioned, and also the ability to buy extra squads if you desire to do so using silver. If you want 100 assaulter squads, you can do that. But you can't bring them all to battle at once ofcourse.
getting uptiered when youre in tier 2 is a bug, and it's one I haven't run into personally. I assume it will be fixed. The dumb research tree thing youre talking about is awful and I thought it was a bug when I was making this video. I've given the feedback to Helpers regarding it but not much we can do other than that. The grind I'm referencing in the video is about total time invested which is absolutely down
@@HeyQuadro not sure. As far as I can remember i didn't buy any high tier german guns, just ammo pouches land mines and VZ 24s for my low tiers. though I did also buy FNAB 43s for low tier, and that is past the OVP I'm pretty sure, so even though I might be wrong I think they dealt with that
And one more note: customs should be cheaper, but not free. I think we all know how games would look if customs were all free. The look of soldiers in battle is the think enlisted wants to keep accurate, and with everyone, and I mean everyone, running the memiest stuff on their guys would be horrible
Owning the garand has made my gameplay experience unbearable with the high tier players because the garand is in tier 4 and i was so unprepared for it.
Since the update I have not been able to land a single map that I have wanted to play yet. I have dumbed down my marines teams to BR 2 and BR 3 and have not landed a round of Japan Theatre.. I have been uptiered several time to Normandy/French Maps...my bolt action Marines and M8 Scott get massacred by Jaeger Troops and paratroops with FG 42s, MG 34 and 42s and Tiger Tanks. The whole system was reset for all my units also...I dont have many hours in the day to play also...spent most of my time reorganizing and rebuying weapons I had already unlocked. Also the grind has gotten worse when you constantly loose matches and get slaughtered.
To me it is the opposite, Every time i play with axis i get massacred because i based my whole tech tree against Normandy, suddenly i am thrown against Russia's PPSH's and AS-22's, Impossible to even make it to top 5
@@picollojr9009 what the hell's an AS-22? And the Soviet tech tree is severely more lacking than the American one. The only thing they've got are AS-44s. A good ppsh player vs a good StG player at any remotely long distance goes to the StG every time. Don't even get me started on Tiger II vs IS2. If you can beat America, there's 0 excuse for struggling against the Soviets
Back in my day I had to deal with tiger tank hiding in the hill destroying us from the spawn point at normandy and i only just started but I still got to late game wth out paying a cent.
Some work must be made on the UI so inventory management is not so bad. I stopped using perks until this merge because I didn't want to pay to re-spec them all. Now that I've specced them, the game feels different. Two steps forward, one step back it seems....
I will definitely uninstall. this update is a mess and is to confusional… Game was perfect before this dumb update. I agree that before it wasn't perfectly accurate, on a historical level, but now it absolutely isn't. And honestly there was no reason to.
I do like the merge for the gear a little but I really how you can't no longer pick which front you want to fight in if you play as the Americans or Germans. I mostly played the stalingrad and Normandy front and so far for the Americans I been stuck playing the Africa front and the pacific front. One of the maps for the pacific is buggy that I had to leave due to not being able to see. Plus there isn't a need to grind anymore for me.
Tier 3 solution should be easy, by taking a page out of every other games matchmaking system: 1 tier matchmaking spread: tier 3 can either face t2 or t4. They can't clap on t1 or get demolished by t5
The overcomplicated sutff that is now in the Enlisted UI wil ldefinetly scare some new players, and also old players. The user experience is to convoluted, the merge may be good for the meta and for the gameplay, but the UI is too much and is gonna backfire
I do not like the merg It was more historical accurate. I didn't mind playing bots it was about having correct vehicles and infantry units to a certain campaign. Now I can play my pacific planes in Europe?? And British dessert infantry Normandy... Lame. I've payed a lot of money to have multiple planes per campaign now I can't .. very in organized and chaotic. Very complicated I got off work waiting to fly a plane vs Japanese or the Russians now it's just a mess. Nope don't like it.
it only sucks more for f2p lol, they lowered the amount of currency you earn per game and upped how much everything costs. to say that the grind got easier is stupid. you're at max level in every campaign. you're not tier 3 with 2000 silver to spare. upgrading down the path you want is basically the only silver lining
sell unused soldiers and disband any squad you both don't want to use and CAN disband. I only have 2 countries near finished, and I not only have a 2nd account that's brand new, but also play all four on my main. The grind is much easier.
@@anothergermanmain that's crazy, directly after I wrote that comment a month ago I started stabbing myself in the neck while screaming, "BEELZEBUB" because I realized how wrong I was, but I decided to keep the comment up anyways because god hates me and I am a pile of refuse and sin 👍
I do like the Merge, the only problem I have with it is having British tanks in the Pacific War? I know British, Australian, and Commonwealth soldiers served in the Pacific war during WWII but they served in the China-Burma-India Theatre. They need to make factions for the British and Italians
Maybe but then every faction will have very few weapons in RsrchTree Also i feel like the devs can't fill the thousands of requests the playerbase is asking for
Darkflow has proven themselves to have a good track record of fixing these sorts of issues as new updates roll out, I myself have no qualms that they will continue on fixing the game at a steady pace. Insane squad numbers aside, the new tier system is an excellent addition to the game in terms of gameplay and longevity. I see the issues as something inevitable that comes with such large updates in any game.
Idk why but for some reason I would have tier 1-2 load outs (USA )and somehow end up fighting in tier 5. My entire team who has tier 2 load outs would get curbed stomped by Germans with tiger 2’s and more
VARIETY ?! of what...I starting to see the same weapons combination everywhere...even myself, I HAVE TO use same guns on every squad if I want to compete vs others
no you don't. you have to get good with different guns. There are really easy to use guns that lots of folks use but you can pull up with kar98s and a tiger II and still get loads of kills
Loved the moscow campaign and it's maps. Now playing the soviets is just boring city map after boring city map after boring city map. Also loved the Tunesia campaign, too bad I never get to see those maps in my queue anymore.
According to the datamined measurements, there were around 40% bots before the merge, now there are 20%. It's not really a difference that would show much in gameplay, just the power consumption of Darkflow's servers is reduced now. Btw, We will always play with bots because there are bots in our squad in the first place, and their behaviour is unaffected by the merge - they will still let the enemy kill them off one by one while looking at it happening. The most positive thing about the merge is that in Normandy, which I've always loved, I can roflstomp the Americans without any punishment with a Tiger II - DF even removed the 12 rocket version of A-20 to help me do this with less CAS burden.
Or the foolish idiots repeatedly spawn their panzer IV Js and push a greyzone-camping Jumbo repeatedly, preventing you from doing anything. Tanks are horrible postmerge, as the tank spammers now plague every game you're in.
God awful update. I hope they go back to how it was which is highly unlikely. Guess its time to uninstall and focus on other things as this just hasn't been worth playing the mess of a game this has become.
My biggest issue has been certain campaigns are simply a stomp fest. In my experience, playing Tunisia as the Axis is a one way ticket to losing. The allies are simply so overwhelmingly powerful in Tunisia that I often end up leaving halfway through. With the allies having access to better anti-tank, better aircraft, and better small arms it's just not at all competitive. In Tunisia at least, I feel that Allied Tier 3s are able to stomp far more easily than Axis Tier 5s in Normandy. In my opinion, the biggest imbalance is in Tunisia.
My main gripe is that I have to go as far back as to tiers 1 and 2 and unlock that stuff so I can move forward for example to get Panther A I need to go back and get panzer 3 B and everything in between that I don't have
I disagree that being tiered up while playing BR3 is like old enlisted...in old enlisted, you might run into a few high end players, but there would still be some low tech players on their team too Now, their entire team is high end players AND they have all the most powerful squads from ALL their campaigns..we never had to face that much squad power before... I also do not think that BR3 is much stronger than BR2...they might be stronger than BR1, but thats the fastest BR to get through. Most new players will be in BR2 within a week.
Tbh, I fully agree on the Tier III and V, and the squad stuff. Regarding the first, I feel like the really strong Soviet and Germany weapons and vehicles (Stg, Tiger II, IS2, As45) should have it's own tier. Which makes more sense now that Ardennes is coming. How I feel it should be in this case: - First: This mention equipment change to Tier VI, and you add to the game Tier VI unlocks for Allies too. - Second, Change queues for Tier: Tier III can only face Tier II or IV, while Tier IV-V-VI go all in the same pool. This way you get: Tier I-II in same pool, Tier II-III, Tier III-IV, and IV-V., and V-VI. Even though it would technically “split” the player base, I think the experience overall would be more satisfying and more “balanced”. With Squads, I don’t really mind them in first place. Being a F2P player with only 4 slots makes no difference at all in terms of loadouts and squad compositions. So I see no problems with having 50+ squads. On the other hand, getting rid of 90% of squads would make everything more simple, I feel like I would be lacking the “badges” and how they are related to sub factions. If I unlocked the 101st squad in old Enlisted, or any squad that I only use because I like the symbol, why would I have to pay to get smth I already unlocked? I think that Enlisted is in the right way overall. I love playing against actual players and not bots, and I believe that with some changes, it can be a great game. Nice video Quadro, hope to catch you in stream soon!
A massive problem in the merge I have is the lack of thought put behind how the game should handle the British and Italians. As it stands, both have been stripped of atleast half their pre-existing squads in addition to their nation specific soldiers being unavailable to buy. I find this extremely disappointing as this means a new player will no have be able to unlock a full line up of British or Italian squads which is just completely baffling to me. Another issue I've spotted is with theatre camoflauge. For example, I equipped my British assualter squad with with unique Normandy camo only to see that for some reason would use that in Tunisia maps when they already have a Tunisia preset. This is extremely frustrating and immersion breaking for me and is only worse for tanks since Darkflow didn't give vehicles campaign specific camo presets. Very frustrating and honestly amateur on Darkflow's part.
if your uniforms on your troops are available to use in other campaigns, it is used in those campaigns. The devs did this to save you appearance orders. And if you couldn't notice, camo is kinda useless in this game. It doesn't matter what youre wearing you're visible. Don't even mention the complete lack of snow on the maps. But yeah as of now, and since the start of the game really, camo has not done you any favors. So don't get too hellbent on it.
As someone who quit because of the high tier full auto spam in matches while i had maybe just unlocked a slightly better bolt action, i heavily appreciate the merge.
Great summary. I wanted to note on two things: 1) presets and 2) map choice/tier 3 1) the presets can be infuriating however, that’s where our 100+ squads come into play. Now you’ll have to set aside HOURS to do this, but it’s beneficial in the long run. For example, I dedicated the OG Axis Assaulter 1 from Moscow as my tier 2 assaulters always. My tier 4 assaulters from Berlin are my tier4-5 preset. I keep the soldiers equipped with their primary weapons/equipment. It’s not an issue because they condensed multiple campaigns and we all have a ridiculous amount of extra weapons. That’s my work around at the moment. 2) tier 3 is nightmare fuel for adrenaline junkies. . I found myself wanting to play early war axis in Moscow, only to wind up in Tunisia against flame throwers and M1 Garand spam. I wish there was a rotation for early war maps because I miss Moscow terribly. Just my thoughts.
Since the surprisingly removed engineer assault rifles altogether (which is a good choice, but still surprising) I just had a FAT stack of mkbs in my inventory
I’m still having fun and that’s all that matters for me. I believe the devs will tweak and change some thing around once they have real world data from all the players. Adding new maps would help a lot too.
They took off some of the grind, good. Then they put that stupid research tree we have to BACK research sht..... 6 perk points wasted to the next tier, silver spent fixing sht. Having to spend soooo much time resetting perks before playing wasn't fun either.
Having played Soviets a fair bit after the merge I feel like they could very easily stretch the 5 tiers into 6 and avoid the downrank/uprank system altogether. Using Soviet assaulter weapons as an example the PPD at T1, the PPS-42 should be T2 and PPS-43 and PPSh-41 (Box) should be T3, T4-5 should be populated by their drum magazine equivalents, then T6 should be assault rifles. Maybe I'm crazy, I don't know.
enlisted needs to make tiered guns based less on mag size alone. There are so many guns that are entirely placed because of a mag. Look at the Berretta M38. T1 to T4 just because of the magazine. If that's not BS idk what is
Question. How do I play on the Pacific maps as the Americans? after the merge, now playing as the Americans, the only maps that keep popping up are Normandy maps. Not for nothing I’m already starting to miss just having the option to just click what campaign I wanted to play.
not enough people play Japan to have enough folks at tier 4, so you're not going to be seeing any high tier Pacific matches. about half of US low tier is pacific though.
The issue with "gaps in the Tech Tree" isn't just for veterans, but for all players. The """Tech Tree""" is actually a glorified line, for example: Imagine you grind until Tier 4, haven't touched the "heavy weapons" branch, and now want to play with Flamethrowers. Too bad, grind the AT weapons and mortars from Tiers 1-3 first! It is ridiculous and defeats the purpose of a tech tree. Once you hit a Tier you should be free to unlock anything there regardless of previous research, period. Agree on the squad thing, we shouldn't have to "sell our squads" (nobody would do that, specially with the current issue with squad loadout presets since you need several squads to not have to manually swap everything), we should've got the squad/soldier/weapons upgrades translated to the new squads, all squads emptied, and all old squads deleted by default. Also as other said, we need either +1 matchmaking (on the long term) or a BR2-3-4 just so BRs 3 and 4 are worth playing (BR1 will always be handicapped), currently the only viable BRs are 2 and 5. This would also help reduce historical inaccuracies a bit. They also need to reapply the squad type limit, at least to 2, but better if it's to 1. Finally, the merge shouldn't have come out with the QoL features for managing squads, I've lost all this time managing squads and haven't played yet, losing days for the Event. We need both the button to disarm everyone, another button to empty squads, and better preset functionality (saving not only squads but also equipment, allowing you to have the same squad on 2 different loadouts and quickly switch with a click). Edit: forgot to mention, new perk system was implemented badly, because they gave no free refund and we now have to individually go over each soldier swapping stuff, which is yet another huge waste of time.
I don’t get why squads were not merged (or even just linked, as in the separate squads exist but they share levels and upgrades.) into one squad of each solider type (soldiers of different ranks are separate soldier types for the sake of this argument.). Literally would have simplified the matter for the enlisted team, so that they could actually make sure they implemented this massive overhaul right. Here are a few consequences of the enlisted team’s lack of proper planning and feedback assessment: 1. Rank one assaulters do not exist in the tech tree and have seemingly been replaced by medics despite not actually being replaced by medics, this has resulted in rank four assaulters being created for no fucking reason despite the extinction of the formerly implemented rank one assaulters. You can’t even buy rank one assaulters anymore… 2. Unlocks for the things that actually determine tiering are fucked, if you haven’t sweated this game out then you may have to *reunlock the shit you already owned and all of your retroactively un-unlocked vehicles have been straight up stolen from you unless they just so happen to have been equipped by a vehicle squad before the merge* 3. Speaking of vehicle squads, since merging campaigns have made the previously impossible senerio of two squads being having the ability to equip the same vehicle in one campaign (now referred to as one faction.) possible, vehicle squads can straight up hold your unlocked vehicles hostage because the concept of “you are not fighting, therefore you don’t need this tank.” Is a foreign one to your spoiled brats we have to call “tankers.” 4. Not only are rank one assaulters Thanos snapped, but some guns are no longer available to new and “veterans who didn’t want to start from square one 12 fucking times.” players because they have been erased from the tech tree as of now. 5. Even with guns that are still in the fucking game, new and “veterans who didn’t want to start from square one 12 fucking times.” players may not even be able to *UPGRADE THEIR GUNS BECAUSE THE SQUADS THAT UPGRADED THE GUNS NO LONGER EXIST TO UNLOCK.* 6. EACH CAMPAIGN SPECIFIC UNIQUE SOLDER TYPE SQUAD HAD DIFFERENT SQUAD UPGRADES TO CHANGE THE POSSIBLE SQUAD SETUPS THAT THAT CAMPAIGN’S SOLIDER TYPE SQUAD HAD TO SUIT EACH CAMPAIGN. *BECAUSE IN THE ENLISTED TEAM’S INFINITE WISDOM BESTOWED UPON THEM BY PUTIN HIMSELF THEY DIDN’T MERGE THE SQUADS, THIS MEANS THAT VETERAN PLAYERS CAN HAVE MORE OPTIONS IN TERMS OF HOW THEY WANT THEIR INFANTRY SQUADS OF EACH TYPE TO BE LAYED OUT THAN THE NEW AND “VETERANS WHO DIDNT WANT TO START FROM SQUARE FUCKING ONE TWELVE GODAMN TIMES.” PLAYERS CAN HAVE.* FUCKING THANKS ENLISTED DEVS FOR THIS RUSHED PROGRESSION SYSTEM *THAT SOMEHOW BENEFITS VETERANS AND SCREWS OVER PEOPLE WHO DON’T HAVE ENLISTED AS A PART TIME JOB EVEN MORE THAN THE OLD ONE DID.*
Another issue I didnt see you touch on is that it feels like the income for silver is way too low or there's just too much crap you HAVE to buy now. Currently when you finish research you HAVE to buy that item to continue the tree. So not only do you have to research, you have to then BUY the item, making it a further wall for progression. Im buying so many unnecessary items and wasting silver when I just want something further up the chain. This is something else that fucks veteran players since I have to grind and buy EVERY tank from Tunisia in order to finally get my damn M4A1 76. My tech tree for Germany is even worse and Im already broke from buying squads and items I dont fucking want. This also hurts my odds of making multiple presets or gearing properly for my tier.
It's hard to make a judgement about the silver economy right now since its so new (and also I have like 2.5 million silver so I'm personally very detached). I'm going to be doing my Free To Play account soon to see how it feels
find every squad you don't use and disband them if you can. You can get rich off this. And sell EVERY soldier you don't want to use. I've gotten about 2 mil from selling stuff at different times.
Please bring Britain back if we don’t end up with a British campaign at least let us in list British soldiers and customise them to look like British soldiers
They need a sixth tier. This allows tier 3 people who just unlocked tier 3 to not be obliterated by StG lover veterans or your typical Jumbo greyzone-camper. And also they need eras for each weapon to decide what maps it's allowed on, which would be in addition to the matchmaking. This allows guns like the mp40 to play all the maps, as they logically should.
Every fucking round feels like a sweaty nightmare (just like on Berlin before the merge if not worse)the merge has fucked up the game and the maps don't even load the merge destroyed the balancing i playing with max level airplane tank and infantry players just because i was level 13 on half of the campaigns the tech tree is causing me brain damage and the game just destroyed it self and lost all the fun and historical accuracy it had enlisted is officially garbage i wish the update never happened it was good when i had the ability to pick were i wanted to play now it is a messy unbalanced unfun sweaty game
Maybe they should just switch it to all mixed battles, if they aren’t worried about realism. I feel bad for the guys that mained the pacific campaign that will face panthers in Stuarts or jumbos in Japanese tanks 😬
I said this Since you guys love the merger so much devs have announced the 2nd merger coming in January. Now you will have just 2 options, Axis and Allies. Now Germany can defend in Pacific Campains and Japanese in Berlin. Gold guns will be Phasers from Star Trek and the Blaster from Star Wars. The knife can now be replaced by Jedi Lightsaber and a stop street sign. In addition all tier 1 gold tanks will be 60 bucks since you all love tier 1 so much and tier 5 tanks will be Spongebob wearing Pink Underwear with 75 mm cannon. This is all historicaly accurate ofcourse.
because the devs have common sense and realize that the game's success and playability is more important than die hard historical accuracy that the game didn't have in the first place.
I made all my factions BR 2 and set it to join any team and any sever. I have really been enjoying the not knowing which map or which team I’m playing for. Also queue waiting times have been non existent playing that way.
Same! As a midtier player, I just set up my factions tier 1-5 and play any team. I never played Japan as a faction before, but now it's fun to just play whoever and know I'm (for the most part) playing against similar level gear.
@@winters1mgsfan pacific axis was my first campaign, but I quit playing it because I kept having almost full bot teams vs a full player allied teams. Now both sides have pretty much been full post merge so I’m loving playing Japan again. I really like the smg type 2a it’s my favorite smg in the game outside of the Soviet ppd 34/38.
I'm sorry Tiger 2, AS-44, RPD in Stalingrad aren't even mentioned? That's insanity. Late war Pz IV J in Tunisia and Stalingrad? PPS-43 and VG 1-5 in Stalingrad? Crusader and Firefly in the Pacific? How can you not see this?
As I've said in both videos and countless replies to you in those videos, I genuinely do not care about those things. Enlisted has never been historically accurate at any point in it's life, and it's barely even been authentic. Jumbos in Normandy, M2 Carbines, G43 Kurz, Condors, Vitality perk, magic refilling airplanes. I can list a million things that aren't authentic and look stupid. I'm not playing Enlisted to have a historical shooter. If I want an authentic WW2 game, I will play Hell Let Loose or Post Scriptum
@@HeyQuadro It's insane not to talk about the elephant in the room. The "Jumbos in Normandy" mantra isn't even comparable to the clusterfuck we have today with literally 2-3 years time travelling like Tiger 2 in Stalingrad. The Merge literally makes zero sense if a WW2 game has Tiger 2s in Stalingrad. Who cares about presets and stupid perks when we have that.
@@HeyQuadro litterly enlisted marketed the game as semi Sim arcade shooter with historical accurate squads so why lie to your self I don't really care but facts are facts and I can find where the devs have said this
the biggest upside (or overlook if you remember it's gaijin/darkflow) of the current system is that you earn same research xp regardless of your Tier and what you research unlike warthunder, so you can actually choose the lineup you feel comfortable with instead of powering through top tier cause it would earn you the most. Use it while you can and have some relaxing games.
br 5 soviets is complete dogshit the teams are completely unballanced and the maps are trash i hope they add a way to choose your maps you want to play
Sounds like a situation where they changed a MAJOR part of the game and didn't think about how it would effect the rest of the game. A classic case of "Unforseen Consequences", "So wake up mister Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes" wait what are we talking about? Oh Right, Enlisted. Cus yeah..... All of this stuff made sense for the previous system (Not that iv Played Enlisted, just follow it). But now You may as well have Generic Squads instead of Historical ones. Cus yeah, WHY would you have specific Squads which have Specific abilities now? And you BET YOUR BOOTS they would make a killing selling those Customization Micro Transactions.
I suppose the grind to properly equip a full loadout of squads with optimal gear is a gindfest, not necessarily unlocking new things in the tech tree. Personally I find grinding the squads levels to be more important at the moment because I like the low br stuff but most of my available squads aren't leveled up. Honestly, just having enough tnt packs and tnt charges to equip every soldier is a pretty silver but almost necessary to have a better time while playing. Need tnt either as a nade or mine just to deal with the shear amount of armor being driven right in front of you.
use explosion packs and Anti personnel mines. EPs are great for low tier tanks, and you need AP mines for free kills of enemy rallies. Give every single soldier both of these items. Guns are entirely your choice, but EP and AP is undeniably the best option for versaility and effectivity
I like the new update but three things which really put me off are: 1. The fact that you need to spend 4,400 silver for resetting your perk points is very lame. It should be like 150 to 200 silver at the very least. 2. Why do I need to purchase a weapon for 3,000 silver which I have already unlocked? Just so that I can get the squad which comes alongside that weapon to let me progress further in the tech tree? This is hilarious. 3. With regards to customization. Why do it campaign wise while you can easily do it 'ecologically'. Desert, Snow, Jungle, Autumn, Urban etc. The current system creates a lot of confusion with stuff being missing here and there.
enlisted has fallen off this new system is terriable first the fact so many nations and time periods and squads are merged together is anyoing also they removed the campagins a very good and fun feature of enlisted where i could grind a specific nation and gain equipment specific to it also its ruined its once good historical accuracy in all honesty this merge was shocking they should have simpily made new tech trees for the campagin and removed the long and hard grind
I’ve played one match of the merge. Spent an hour building up tier 3 American units and got thrown in a game with multiple top German players that started spamming panthers and tigers. We got annihilated.
i dont know if anyone else has noticed this but so far ive been doing japan and i never payed any attention to the pacific war campaign so im using entirely tier 1 weapons and ive seen several times tier 4 weapons appear for the americans and probably tier 5 weapons which i didnt notice its almost as if japan has matchmaking but america doesnt so ive had several games where ive been completely stomped by garands and thompsons
Tbh they could fix most of the tier3 problems by doing one of two things. Tier 3 being its own thing, which, personally I think is the worse option. They could also adjust how the match making goes to be a match of just 2 neighbor tiers. 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 3 and 4, 4 and 5. I think this would balance out most of the tier 3 problems while also not just damning tier 3 to itself.
Not really. Teams feel much worse than before. Like two full teams where fun but now it feels like a drag with them to the point I prefer the old AI teams.
my problem, how i cant found any information about, what maps can go on that tier. needed to recognize and also for the macthmakeing when i and my friend want to go low tier, changes ur equipment only i bring a tier3 tank(kv-1) the enemy use mp43 and fg 42 and we with mosin my oponion, how the best solution for t3, how t3 players only against t3 players.
For me the pros of this merge were: 1) Ability to take any squad I want into combat 2) Ability to transfer weapons between squads 3) The Perk system seems better 4) I like how we have just one currency now 5) Playing against actual players and games are closer now On to the Cons: 1) Way too many squads to update and go through 2) If I want to go into say Tier 1 because I want to play as the Germans in Tunisia, I'm having to update my squads and change things around again 3) Playing many of the same maps but due to problem 2 I've just mentioned How about they create a system where if I want to go to Tier 1, I just click on a button called Tier 1 and it presets everything for me. It would save heaps of time. Now that we have multiple squads can we have preset uniforms for squads where they can have Winter or summer uniforms? Kinda stupid too see German winter uniforms in the desert and vice versa. Another idea but not related to the merge - introduce a medal system for individual soldiers. If they win in battles then they get awarded the iron Cross 1st class for example and the medal would be visible when you look at the soldiers details in the UI
here's a bunch of stuff: moscow uniforms in all maps is a bug just disband the squads you don't want. I'd keep all your assault squads though. Anyway, only a handful of squads can't be disbanded (mostly Stalingrad and Pacific ones) and disbanding gives you 10k silver. Every gun still obtainabe in the tech tree has a squad that upgrades it, so you don't have to worry abot that. But pay attention to what you're disbanding, because if you have a squad that's almost maxed a gun you want to upgrade and you disband it you'll have to use the squad that now has that weapon in it's upgrades. disbanding squads doesn't take your soldiers or equipment.
Keep your teirs, keep your perks, whatever makes you happy, sees a little CoDy but whatever, but GIVE ME BACK FUGGING CAMPAIGNS, at least they had a modicum of realism, the merge absolutely killed it for me, and until they reintroduce campaigns enlisted is absolutely dead to me, the whole game is a dumpster fire now, if your angry about wait times and bots and dont like the realism of old enlisted, battlefield, CoD, and Fortnite already existed for the ADHD nerds, was it perfect how it was, no, but the devs murdered and recycled a a good game and in doing so just delivered a steaming pile of garbage, I cannot rage enough about it, after the hundreds of hours and dollars I put into it the merge was a slap in the face, as much as I'll miss it for as fun as a game as it used to be, I probably wont be back on it, and it hurts to say that because enlisted was one of my favorite games in my collection.
Same here. They should have kept the historical accuracy and implemented for example early war, mid-war and late war campaings and individual nation trees (some have more some less weapons, Italy, France and UK on its own) with tech trees. That BR system totally destroyed it for me. It was a fun and historically accurate game that we just lost. Depressing to say at least.
