He couldn't figure out how to fold the back seats flat. I'm done with this review already. -_-

It was a year after owning my Focus Hatch that I realized, via RU-vid video, that you need to fold the bottoms of the seats up first. So that, I think, is an honest mistake.

Svenopolis lol took my mom a year to figure that out. She got her 2017 Oxford white sedan Ford Focus SEL fully loaded in December of 2017. And when we were moving she didn’t even know how to fold the seats down and there was a button on both of the ends of the back seats to do it.

The back seats do fold completely flat. He needs to flip the back seat bottoms up first. Plenty of room...

No they are pretty fucking small...... Father has one of these and the trunk is pretty tight... But eh its a luxury/sporty everyday car, what can you expect.

well, thank you so much for answering the question of is it "built to last"... just like it says in your title.

Color Safe Bleach it’s apparent he knows nothing about cars so I’m assuming the question is directed towards the viewers. He’s asking us is the car built to last.

Seats do fold completely flat. Take off head rests and flip up/forward rear seat bottoms. Mine held two 40 gallon hot water heaters.

I've had mine for 4 years and it has 30k miles. Nice and sporty car, fun to drive. Audio system and touchscreen is awesome. The interior has held up pretty well but water has leaked into the ceiling and footwell a few times. Just found out my wheel bearings already need replacing....so definitely not built to last

I sell fords I can 100% forsure say that the rear seats DO fold down flat. just lift up the bottom and then remove the headrest takes 5 seconds

The trunk with the Titanium Handling package is SMALL - no other word to describe that. The seats will fold flat, but you have to flip up the seat base and take the head rests off. Thankfully the seat base is also split 60/40.

@ 1:59 never rest or sit your hand on the gear shift. should only be touching it to shift. that's how you tear your stuff up over time

id like to know if the motor is better than the previous. . they have a bad rep and i drive a 2014..i want to upgrade but only if those transmission glitches are fixed..anyone know?
@NoName-tz5ji
@NoName-tz5ji 5 лет назад
Seats do fold flat, throttle is not laggy,if you drove the auto shift as it knows where to shift a square bore engine (short stroke) you’d realize how quick this eco box really is. Although I don’t recommend the auto shift as it’s the only thing on a focus that’s not built to last.

I have a 2013 & the 2018 body style looks much nicer. How does the DCT version of a 2018 drive?
@NoName-tz5ji
@NoName-tz5ji 6 лет назад
That 2.0 is a square bore design meaning it has a short stroke,if u want power it has to rev. Drive an autoshift and see where those high shift points. (But don't buy that pos) peak torque is 4500.

I've had my 2016 Focus Titanium for a little over a year now and was able to pick it up for only $12k, with only 50k miles on it, drives like you would expect a small engine to drive. Small throttle lag and the manual feels amazing once you get used to it. This car has every option that you would find on a high-end luxury vehicle. I would recommend this care to anyone that is looking to buy the most reliable, comfortable, and "affordable" commuter car there is, plus I get an average of 40 MPG! Only downside is my vehicle has been affected by the vacuum recall, but that will be the only repair this car has ever needed.

What’d you all expect the trunk room to be , huge? It’s a hatchback! Not a sedan!
@Just_A_Dude
@Just_A_Dude 5 лет назад
Actually, cubic-footage wise, the cargo space on the Focus Hatches is bigger than the Focus Sedan even with the seats up and the privacy panel in place. It's just more vertical than a sedan trunk, so best used for piling up "stackable" stuff like groceries, duffle bags, storage boxes, luggage, etc.

The focus is built to last. Avoid the automated transmission it’s garbage.
@sintesiz

I dont think those are leather seats, I dont think any cars have real leather. These are synthetic leathers. Leather would actually break down quickly with the heat and cool temperture of the car.,
@sintesiz

and you would need about 20 cows to cover it

I can assure you, many cars do have real leather. Not sure about this one though.

Is it meant to last? Nope. Problematic dual-clutch transmission, garbage MyFord Touch system that crashes regularly with Windows 95-like error messages. No wonder why this car had the MTX-75 5 speed manual in it!
