I use all my go pros. From number 1 to 11. The very first go pro was a 35mm camera the next one was the first one that took two triple a batteries I use that for like a old shot second view. If you use the go pro 4 the best audio. And the 8 is still good to use in today from a user stand point not looking at numbers. It really does not matter what camera you use if the point of the video is good then great. The 11 has a lot more features for sure. Me I’m that one who just turn it on and hit record but yes I do check the features first.
Nice video well done. I have a love hate relationship with my GoPro hero 8. It does have a lot of problems, but it gets the job done. I’m still impressed with the quality of the videos and I only shoot in 2.7 K.
@@behindthebattery a lot of times the GoPro will not turn on and I have to pull out the battery put it back in to get it to start up. The other big problem is it will shut off when recording for no reason.
@@behindthebattery a lot of times it will record for about five seconds, then shut off. The one thing I really hate about the camera is the on off switch. You cannot run your finger along the side to find the on off button, you physically have to look for it. I got big fingers so I have to use my finger nail to shut it off and on.
I don't see much differences in the video quality you showed I actually saw the background on the the 11 was a lil foggy but clear on the 8 video looks other than that the same ,8 still good for me they sell roll cage for 8 whot lens protectors
hello , i i think i bought this camera before 2 weeks , i like the camera but i have somequestions , if you can reply I would be very happy 1- when i use the linear lens Is there a loss of quality? 2-wich sharpnes ssetting should i use , low-medium-high 3-and the last question is , wich bitrate is better for vlogging , standart or high , is there is much of a difference? thank you
I like your review on the Hero 8. Have you noticed if the battery overheats and shuts down? I’ve seen that is a problem for quite a few GoPro 10 and 11 cameras in hot climates.
i have a problem with my hero 8 the battery drain so fast and overheat then when the battery goes to 75% it shutdown and have glitch idk whats the problem
I think if you are going to buy an older Gopro the Gopro 7 is more worth it n 2023 than the GoPro 8 because the 7 dose the same resolution and frame rates as the 8, I don't think there is a big difference in stabilisation, it has the same battery capacity but the Gopro 7 has a replaceable lens cover where as the one on the 8 is built In plus with that you can put on nd filters that can stay on more securely and the 7 costs less than the 8 or if you want you could get the Gopro 9 which is compatible with the media mod, max lens mod and the newer enduro batteries although it is a little more buggy than the Gopro 8 and 7. is I don't really think the Gopro 8 is really worth it in 2023
Hero 8 is a great backup camera. Although the image quality has improved tremendously since the 8. I compared the 8 vs 12 both at the same resolution and it's a night and day difference. Plus the 8 not having a removable lens is a deal breaker for many. So far no problem with my hero 12
I charged mine recently and it was hot asf and the battery inflated. I put a new battery and only the red light on the front turns on. I dont know if its fixable or done for
The Hero8 may work for you taking car videos, but the camera itself is garbage. The battery life is terrible. It HATES the cold and will die within a few minutes (apparently a common problem with GoPro). If the camera gets jostled or the battery dies, you'll have to remove and re-seat the battery to get it to charge and function properly. The camera's controls are over-engineered, which makes sense because GoPro's proprietary editing software is garbage as well. Before the Hero8, I had a ContourROAM camera. I took it skiing, scuba diving, hiking, sailing, snorkelling, cycling... you name it. The battery would through several hours of filming regardless of the conditions. Turning it on and off was easy and could be done with mitts on and your eyes closed. It lasted better than TEN YEARS before finally failing. I was ready to chuck the Hero8 in the trash after 2 years.
