Yeah they should have gave the 300 more love! I think the 300 is one of the best looking full size cars out now an days. I have a 2014 base v6 an I LOVE IT!
You bet they dropped the ball, repeatedly. The SRT8 shoulda been offered stateside. I shared this video with my executive chef son who lives in Florida and had an all wheel drive 300 awhile back. He’s driving a V6 Challenger black top at the moment, waiting to pickup a scat pack car when prices drop to realistic levels. This car is a gorgeous sleeper, very cool!
@@iamblinktv7503 I have a 2005 Chrysler 300C completely original besides the fluids, filters, breaks, tires and a couple more things like that. I wouldn't change anything about it, especially the factory 5.7 . If it wanted my 300 to be more like a Charger or Challenger, I would have bought a Charger or Challenger from the get go.
The Gen 2 SRT 300 is one of the best looking Sedans on the road, imo. Mine is Hellcat blown. I too am very surprised and disappointed Chrysler didn’t put a Hellcat engine in. Even just for one year. Cheers for the vid. Greetings from Australia.
This particular one is a Hennessey package. Definitely get a regular 300 and swap it. This one here I think somewhere down the line the price will go up with it being a special edition and 300 aren't being made anymore so those who have this will keep it all original.
The Chrysler badged cars were always the most plush and luxurious of their line. The rest ( Dodge, Plymouth) were more of the shall we say more playful and rowdier line. This car is truly wonderful. A true sleeper. And built on the same chassis as the rest so basically you can do almost as much to one of the 300s as you can with the rest. The Hellcat is an exception but frankly I wouldn't mind this wolf in sheep's clothing. And I'm not a Mopar man but this is a killer car. Well done by the Hennessey crew.
Yes love how this car has the punch without the wild side , love it being hidden away ! Most of the 300 drivers are looking fir the refined ride and amenities , it’s a luxury car that wasn’t really priced as a luxury car , great traveling car I’ve owned one since 2011 and loved it he two I’ve owned , neither one was the SRT version . Had a 201 5.7 and a 2019 V6 AWD version .
When the pre-orders came out for the 2023 last call Chrysler 300, I had filled it out and just didn't press send. I really have always wanted one, and I think at some point I will regret not clicking that submit button.
@@tylercouture216 I read your comment wrong, thought you said that what you had was rare. I have a Hemi AWD JVLE max. According to Chrysler only 2 were made in my color.
Personally I Love the 300,i have a 2014 5.7 and would have loved to find a great deal on a Srt8 of the 12-14 run! Then it being a Hennessey 650 optioned is just insane!I Love the total Sleeper look,And i Love the Fender flares that are almost like a widebody!! Very understated but not easily intimidated!!I would Love one of these but in Black!Who knows maybe someday I'll get one!Great Vid RacerX
I have a 2005 first addition Chrysler 300-C that's in mint condition, and it's completely original besides the tires breaks and fluids and filters. I bought it from my dad back about a year ago, and I love that car as much as anything else that I have ever owned. The Chrysler 300C isn't supposed to sound like a monster, but it definitely will perform very well with the 5.7 so unless it's a factory 6.1 car I personally wouldn't change anything about it. This car that I have is going to be going to my grandson, so I will keep it as stock as possible but it's being driven by my wife because she likes it better than her Nissan rogue. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Had one of these and hate that I let it go. Was an amazing ride. So well equipped. White with the blackout package and black chrome rims. Would scoop another one up if I found the right one.
Those three hundreds have those dual resonators on the tailpipes that really quiet them down. Either cut them out or take them to a shop and get it done and it's like night and day. If you choose to get an exhaust system the Super 40 is it really clean sound as far as those 5.7s and 6.4s
300s look better to me than Chargers, problem is I need more power than the 5.7 and the new 6.4 300c sold out immediately lol. The current 300 has the best design to me too, just wish I had access to one with more power than the 5.7.
@@gokuthatmadethebeat I've heard that the 5.7 responds well to mods. I'd prefer buying it with the power I want, but I guess that's always an option too.
Agree with you. The Chrysler 300 is my favorite car. I had a 2015 300s with the Hemi and drove it for 5 years. Then I traded it in for a Charger Hellcat; which I drove for a year and a half and absolutely loved driving it before it was stolen. I was one of the lucky 2k people to get in on the 300c and I can't wait to get inside of it. They are supposed to be delivering them at some point in March.
@@overlord6815 Just tryna help you save money. If you don’t plan on waiting for mods to install, it’s a good alternative but the 6.4 doesn’t respond good to mods. you can make only like 600whp at most before blowing the thing up. A 5.7 can be turnt up to 8-10 psi of boost max and you’ll be making hellcat power
I just purchased a 2022 Chrysler 300 L Touring Sedan in Arctic Blue with the all Black Accents and I love this CAR, it's a shame 2023 is the last model year for this CAR.
@@getyomoneyup 5.7 can handle a decent amount of boost plus if he likes the 300 body more why should he swap to be the same speed or slower than boosting
I witnessed a gentleman driving one of these a while back, just cruising. Not sure it was Hennessey, but it looked very similar. No hoodie, baseball 6 any other hoodlum or ahole accessory. Dude was suited up and chilling. Definitely, a positive image for such a brand. A refreshing contrast to what seems to be a brand, now the official sponsor of thugs and psychopathic speeders.
Oh, my…that 57 Chevy Nomad wagon... Hot! Now that 300... That 6.4.. It's already a beast, but with that supercharger..... That's a whole other level. It sounds sooo good!
I have a 3.6 V6 300c and it does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. It’s disappointing that a 6.4 does 0-60 just 1.1 seconds faster @ 4.8 seconds. It does sound waaaay better than my car, though. Forgot to say mine does have the 8speed tranny, which makes a huge difference.
1:44 also fun fact the older chrysler 300 srt8's (pre 2012) had the 6.1l hemi, so the new ones do in fact have a bigger motor, and not just bigger than the 5.7
Another important difference between the Hellcat and the Hennessey Chrysler is the transmission. The Nag1 in the 300 is very different than the 8 speed that replaced it in the Hellcat. The Nag1 has a much taller 1st gear and with only 5 speeds doesn't do as good a job of keeping the car in the power band.
@@tylercouture216 - I think we're both saying the same thing. More than likely the 300 swapped Hellcat has the 5-speed. Factory Hellcats like the Charger and Challenger have the 8HP90 transmission.
Man I'm actually sitting in my 2012 Chrysler 300 srt8 watching this video my friend just sent me lol. I've had mines since 2016. Just dropped a brand new engine in mines a year ago. Only have 15,000 miles on my engine now. Chrysler dropped the ball on this car twice. Never making a Hellcat version, the for the last 300 they are doing. They are only making it a 300C with just a 6.4. Should have done a Hellcat for the last horah! They version would sellout quickly for sure! Til this day, the 300 is better looking than the Charger or Challenger! Sport and luxury sedan packed all into one! Can't beat that!
I own a 2012 300 srt8 got mine at 50k and I love it but after two years of having it I still want a hellcat keep your car bro and get this on the side you need both lol
Is an underwhelming appointed E63 AMG with a Chrysler badge that’s then given the exponential fee increase for a package worth the cost of just buying a used E63 AMG? I mean least Mercedes still offers a wagon for cheaper
Definately wish they'd of done a hellcat in a 300. Ultimate sleeper car. Or at least came out with the certain terms Mopar came out with. Such as red eye. Demon etc.. But. Its unfortunate. At least they're doing the v8 for one last year. But. It Is what it is I guess. Anyway. I've got an 07 srt8. I love it. Maybe I'll hellcat swap it one day with a manual. Or do that 8 speed swap. Some day. But as of now. This 6.1 is all I really need. Mopar baby!!!
Most of the 300's are pretty good shape and more luxurious car too. But I have 300 Touring and had 3.6l that run like Hemi motor with 8 speed transmission give extra power runs
My 2012 300 SRT8 is a blast. Brute in a suit, for sure. Need to do that Hellcat airbox swap to it. Doesn't get the comments my blue 2003 Mercury Marauder does, but that's okay.
I love the 2nd gen 300 SRT8’s, I only have two gripes with them tho. #1. The dog water 5 speed auto, really wish these got the ZF8’s #2. The common lifter failure on these, I’ve read so many forums and it still seems like no one knows what causes it. I wonder if you could just do a MDS delete and that would solve the problem. I’d really like one of these but I would constantly be worried about a lifter failing.
I have a 14 300s 5.7 5 speed fully loaded yes moonroof aswell , I turned off the mds because lifters are known to fail but if they are disabled you'll be fine always drive it in sport mode and it's all good just uses gas alot but it's fine I've hit 171 mph in it so far lol I'm trynna hit 180!
I love how people always talk about these cars not being the fastest. You realize these cars were never made to compete with two door competitors right? They are just daily drivers with power. Appreciate the car and move on.
Hey x you gotta think about what the 300 c was back in the 50's to the 70's it was a gentlemen's car was supposed to be buttoned down like that because it was a classy car
Not only should they have done a 300 cat they should have done a farewell tour and done an srt in every line. Srt4 srt6 srt8 and the ram a srt10. Did a last call power line up
I also think that instead of them making a 300 hell cat and them taking the chance of it not making its projected sales and be mad and take it away from the world just make it a special order package it make take longer to get but with all the dealers benefits u get from doing that it will be worth it
Heyy , racer x , can you make a video on if a person wants a hellcat but.. don't wanna pay that bill, what dodge can they buy , and and a couple of mods, to make a baby hellcat, show them how they can.
He has tons of videos comparing hellcats to scat packs and so forth. The next step down from a hellcat would be a scat pack. If you cant afford a hellcat get a used scatpack, but there is a big difference between the hellcat and the scat pack. If you dont go dodge, I would get a mustang gt and throw some mods on that, it would be cheaper than the hellcat and faster than a scatpack
