I drive a 2012 model, MT, mostly on a daily basis. It had already reached 120,000km and it didn't gave me any troubles. It overtakes with ease but I think it is because I know how it performs. With the right speed and the right rpm on the right gear, the Sportivo still could be fast. Modern cars are faster but it can still manage to keep up without sacrificing too much fuel. The best I got was 19km/L, long distance travel with a little bit of traffic. And 13km/L in the city and with hours and hours of just sitting inside waiting and idling. And the suspension, yes all you've said are true but for me, an advantage to it is that I am not afraid to tackles any terrain even the Sportivo is just a 4x2. Because of how the suspension travels, it can manage to let the tires stay on the ground having less wheel spin even on muddy terrains, I've crossed rivers, floods and even reach the top of a mountain. For me, it is not the best to have in the city but it is perfect for someone who lives in outside the city. Proud Sportivo owner here, it has never let me down and I can't see that it will ever do.
Manual transmission Crosswind/Sportivo is a bit faster specially on acceleration compared to the Auto Trans Variant I've tried both and yeah Manual is far better than the Auto
@@Webpageisnotavailable I recently was able to drive a AT Sportivo and sad to say it sucked. Lower speeds the rpm was always at 2000 rpms. But until the torque converter locked the characteristic changed.
7 years still no engine problems. One time it broke down, we were quite afraid at what the maintenance will cost but surprisingly, it only was 300 pesos for the filter.
Thanks for the review! I am in Cebu City and looking to get on of these as they seem so reliable. So far I have not found a good deal on a used one in my area.
Good review sir. Tama lahat ng sinabi niyo sir. Good riding quality if loaded and if not bouncy siya, slow acceleration, less features, no airbags, sumasabay ang katawan sa kurbada, noisy engine. Pero reliable and Good quality engine. 2nd hand isuzu cars ay mahal pa rin pag ibenta due to its reliable and good quality engine. Proud isuzu owner here hehe
Honest review. It's what driving is all about! One of the original DIESEL SUV vehicles and a lifetime car for those who love hearing the sound of a true diesel engine. It's the vehicle for tough and better drivers...modern vehicles these days the car controls the driver!
Well from experience you can definitely overtake using Crosswind but you need to plan your moves in advance and it has to be in the perfect gear to maximize its engine output. The engine does not perform like modern one wherein you place your foot down and it goes zoom-zoom.
good review. it is a basic uv. nothing to compare. siempre isuzu yan.👍 lahat nang sasakyan walang perfect! basta he can bring me all the way i wanted togo.. a to b. loving my isuzu 2012xuv manual ❤🇵🇭
We called Isuzu Panther Grand Touring here in Indonesia for Crosswind Sportivo, but you got more feature than here sir, haha.... Such as the Air Conditioning panel, we just only have the blower speed switch and the level temperature switch, others you have Retractable Mirror, damn we don't have them... But the engine is very tough even with Fortuner by Toyota, the weakness is only the power output is low, just around 80hp with Turbo, poor..! Anyway, Isuzu can hipnotize us to still buy that car.... awesome, their lovely Diesel sound engine is Legend... 😁
You got to 'bomba' the throttle to accelerate a little bit quicker because the engine feels like choking when you're just gunning the throttle. I know the struggle of the 'matic gearbox on Crosswinds :(
Sa amin 2003 model pa crosswind never kming bngyan ng trouble sa daan, npkatipid pa kmain ng diesel, mdlas long drive kmi ilocos norte to batangas. Wlang aberya. D gnun kabilis pero very reliable
I love how it drives and how smooth the steering. Main concern ko lng is that sobrang bagal mag change gear it lacks power and stuff. we own isuzu sportivo Xmax 2010 btw.
Its easier to overtake with a manual transmission if you know what gear and rpm to do it. Launch is slow but once launched, it gets fast fast.
The looks is gorgeous. They just need to add DRLs on the front and back too like the Adventure. Then swap the old 4JA1-L engine in favor of the RZ4E-TC. The 5MT is still good just need to adjust the differential for high speeds(from 100kph@2800rpm to 100kph@2000rpm). And standard rear disc brakes for Sportivo models only.
I thought, they stopped making these in 2017 due to the Euro 4 pollution standard, just as Mitsubishi stopped making the Adventure. But its still on Isuzus price lift starting at 1,26M, which is just way to much.
Sir can you also review old models like 2002 altis, 2002 CRV, 2003 civic, 2006 civic, 2010 Montero, 2008 CRV, 1996 civic, Pajero fieldmaster, and etc ?
Yes sir hopefully i can get my hands on those modelss youve mentioned, stay tuned to my channel sir subscribe para incase baka ma review ko one of those cars in the future. Thank you for watching :)
Mayron po din kaming 2001 model 4x2 Crosswind Xto its still runs smoothly without major problems its been 18 years since we have our big brother Isuzu Crosswind
If you can live with the ride quality and loudness of the engine, this car will fit you like a glove. What people say about it's reliability is not a myth haha, it's a fact. Proper maintenance can avoid common problems like harshness of the startup and smoke emission. This is my first car, got an '04 XUV when I entered college back in 2006 (hand-me-down from my parents). It served me really well, going back and forth from Meycauayan to Taft for 4 years on a daily basis. It's so reliable that I actually got a brand-new one back in 2018 (one of the last few Sportivo X Black Series), and ended up selling my '04 XUV which acculumated 160,000+ km on the odo. I just wished that Isuzu upgraded the engine to Blue Power and kept the original chassis so as to be compliant with current emission laws.
@@zobby9343 Matagtag.
Thanks for the video. The Sportiva gives a lot of car for the money but the measely 85 HP OUCH! However reliability is essential. Would you consider doing a video on Ford Everest and Ecosport?
I have the older Crosswind XTRM model but until now it is still in good condition and I still don"t have plan to replace it.. Its really very reliable and dependable ...
Watched it today December 19, 2022 and you left out how many kilometers per liter can you get in the crosswind. Maybe there is a difference between manual and at when it comes to acceleration. Nevertheless thank you for this video. I am planning to get the MT version of this this coming year. Btw, much good of you don't mess around the color grading. :)
This may be the ugliest car (for some) but it is tough like a tank. 12 years na yung ganito namin and wala kaming naging problema sa kanya.
happened aswell nabangga pwet ng XUV version namin (with spare tire & cover at the back) dahil sa height difference, yung vios na bumangga samin basag ang headlight and yupi and hood, and no dents to the crosswind pero ofcourse may gasgas sa spare tire cover.
@@PSXBOX-lz1zq bobo tangke ang crosswind bro nkbangga ako ng armored van walng yupi skin gasgas lng yung armored yupi isama mo pa yang sasakyan mong plastik
Hi! I'm just wondering kung meron bang OBD2 port ang Isuzu Crosswind mo? Currently looking to purchase a 2011 model and gusto ko lang malaman kung pwede ko ba ma-diagnose ang vehicle before I buy it. Thanks!
I just boight sportivo x and one thing I like is the sound ,why, I drive a truct, it gives a warning to people around and I dont need to press the horn,
Christine E yes we drive ranger diesel its so loud I can hear my dad coming from 5 blocks away in my neighborhood on normal evening occasions even if the videoke of our neighbor is so strong no one beats diesel! less hassle and less danger in explosion set diesel in fire and no a single fidge of fire given :)
Christine E I rather follow you that you buy 2nd hand car like sportivo the first thing comes to my mind when buying 2nd hand cars is hyundai accent sedan and this one because of their durability in their respective segment.
Thank you for the comment sir .maybe because it is not fisable due to its old body structure i think we will need an al new model. in the future from isuzu but i doubt if they will still name it as the crosswind. Thank you for watching sir like and subscribe!
Proven and tested kumbaga. Ride safe po 👊 Isuzu crosswind XT 2007 owner here, still kicking at 200K mileage.
Any recommendation for best insurance for isuzu sportivo 2011 model it is our first time to have a car also a place to take it for maintanance in metro manila ?
ka work ko po ung me ari,ok lng po ba un khit 170k na odo mga ilan years ko pa magamit un? marehehistro pba un khit mapaphase out na ang crosswind? salamat sa mga sasagot?
What is the title of your background music i love it hhehe. Base on your reviews about the isuzu crosswind well its all true but still its reliable and it has a good quality engine and crosswinds are not slow on accelerations once they are tuned advance properly it will give more power and less fuel consumption 😊
Use a better engine oil like ZIC 15w40 or 30 and i only use semi-synthetic rather than fully-synthetic it runs better for diesel engines and change your close air filters to open air filters and put a Oil catch can also and adjusting the valve clearance and the ip etc etc 😊 and cleaning the exhaust pipe with water don't use powdered soap just water only then start the and all the carbons will go out
I DID TUNE MY SPORTIVO '10 AND IT'S FAST! I CAN NOW DO 145-155 KMH! TOP SPEED EASILY! THE MEASURED 0-100 TIME IS 14.7secs! all i did was running it a little rich on diesel, removed the catalytic converter and cranked up the turbo wastegate pressure! but smoke is an issue tho! since it's running more fuel than normal... but i get good fuel economy tho! i can do 11-12 km/L good enough for 128hp and 205nm/tq! you should try it!
