Hi man love this video - could look for hours. You have some serious riding skills to tackle this SICK trail which could already be considered as hard enduro. That is a huge confirmation I made the right choice last Christmas. Just shy on 60 hours and almost only training for basic skills. If you don’t mind 2 recommendations: Some gummy tires will help a lot on this slippery roots (look up Rich Larsen “The IRC Tire Guy” - an excellent YT Channel) and Number 2: get a rubber spark plug cap for water crossings to avoid stalling the bike… Cheers from Northern Thailand where this bike is the most popular one
Glad you’re enjoying them! This bike is really helping progress my skills! I love recommendations! I have a set of gummy tires waiting to go on once i kill the stock tires!! Very excited to get to try them out! As for the rubber cap, thats a good idea! Never thought of that!
I just got my 2022 R F 2 weeks ago I love it man it’s super easy to ride not stupid Loud here everyone rides on the streets so I can take it thru the hood to the powerlines and stuff and rip it up we have a section of powerlines that runs through woods for 6 miles it’s awesome can make so many lines and no houses anywhere close
Man what a ride! That GREEN MONSTER was hungry and just ate everything you put in front! Excellent ride and video here bro! Hope it dries out a bit by race day. -🤘
Bro that's the kinda riding i love the most!! Been considering either this bike or a drz 125 ....i ride a fat boy on the street but I'm just a tiny old man and i want something capable, light and torquey for single track shit!! Shocked at how well this thing did, you sent it for sure but she took it!!
@AaronsEnduro i guess that's it!! I'm gonna just grab a new one in the spring i think, everyone says get used.... but i think I'll get a new one to have warranty and just cause i can... I'm 42, 5'7" and 148lbs i don't think I'm gonna outgrow it, especially since i mainly want it for fishing and mellow trail riding!! Thanks!!
Itll be the perfect trail putter! Makes it easier to get over obstacles with the big 21”/18” wheelset! Kawasaki doesnt really have the best warranty. Once it rolls off the slowroom floor its yours. Id get a used one (and i did) it saved me 1500$ and the guy rode it twice. Thing was practically brand new and I didn’t have to pay taxs on it because it was used! Have fun and enjoy!
I just bought my 2022 klx 140rf, I love it handles the trails great , the bike is light and suspension is awesome. Your video is great, where are you riding at?
looks a little more fun than a YZ 250 F on this situation. I’m still trying to consider and I’m all over the place. I’ve had fun on them but I feel like I’m a little too big for this one the long run
@@AaronsEnduro the weather was perfect blue sky sunny ☀️ and 65 degrees no wind and I rode until I could not ride anymore my arms are a little tired now but it was a super fun time.
If so, yes the klx shifter position is changed with the linkage. You can start by removing the splined shaft and move it up one tooth. Then adjust the linkage if you need it higher. Be careful that you dont extend the linkage too far for the rear section of the link hits the frame and you wont be able to shift
I have one of these and I love it take the baffle out and there is and adjustment for the rear brake and I did mine almost all the way down and it's so much better the things hate is the skid plate it's just plastic and it's electric start only otherwise it's a great reliable bike
Love the vid! Also love this bike got it last summer and had a blast every single ride! I also did a very long trip with some quads and had to be wide open all the time bc of the low top speed but while they burned between 50-80$ of fuel I only burned almost 5$ CAD 😂 you should have seen their faces when I went to pay 😮 even I was surprised! I don’t remember how many kilometers that trip was but for a whole day of riding 10$ worth of fuel was well worth every pennies😁
Its insane how little gas they use!! Sounds like you had a blast of a day out riding! You should check out my latest videos to see what this things like fully built!
Awesome riding man! That bike sounds nice and quiet! I am in the market for one to use in my neighborhood, so quiet is good. How is the noise on this compared to the Chinese 150s, and other 125s like Honda and Suzuki (if you’ve heard them!) thanks!
So I definitely don’t get the opportunity to ride on trails like this. I have a 2014 Yamaha XT250 that I currently ride on/off road. I’m really thinking about getting one of these KLX 140 Kawasaki’s for my woods riding. Again my woods is no where near as gnarly as the trails you were riding.
unfortunately, there are no aftermarket suspension parts that will bolt up for the R model. You'd have to swap to kx85 forks or something similar @@Kingstonmilne
Will it go up trails. Heck ya. All day, everyday. Is it gonna win races and be an enduro machine...🤣🤣🤣 no dude. Not even close. Enjoy the ride and keep rippin.👍
Getting my 140 delivered tomorrow. (Haven’t rode in 15+ years so I wanted to start ezpz again). I read that you mentioned stock pipe was quiet as can be lol, any recommendations with your current or previous setups?
Highly considering the klx140RF based on pricepoint with fullsize tires, and the ability to learn on it and teach my gf to ride. Im about 5’11-6ft and 170-180lbs how do you think the bike would handle my weight?
If you end up subscribing and sticking around ill be showcasing a full build of the klx140rf. Ive been stock pilling all the goodies for it for a while now and the build will begin next month!
the klx 140 would be a godly enduro if they had radiators i just bought a klx 140 and i cant find any plastics if you know where i can buy some pls lmk
@@AaronsEnduro i feel like radiators would be better for where i live ive overheated my bike a few times i also live in az and theres not much enduro trails and that sucks i cant find any side panels on kawaski which is the only thing i need
@@AaronsEnduro Why? More power? I’m 5’6” and I hate riding bikes where I can barely touch the ground. And I know everyone on the internet is gonna cry and scream “YOU DONT NEED TO TOUCH THE GROUND JUST GET A 450” but I could care less. I like to touch the ground, I spend most of my day touching the ground believe it or not
Because the larger wheelset the klx140RF/G model comes with will make it easier to traverse over obstacles (rocks logs etc) They have less rolling resistance being a larger diameter The crf big wheel 125 has a seat height of 30.9 inches The klx140RF/G has a seat height of 30.7” and has bigger wheels and longer/taller suspension. The klx is really a no brainer better option
Sorry To bother But how tall are you and does this bike fit well? I'm looking at varuis bike and don't know exactly what I want. At the moment i'm about 5'5.
As of now the only modifications to ky bike are Renthal far bars Pro taper pillow ball grips Trail tech vapor digital display (Speedo, tach, temp, etc) Acerbis handgaurds 12 tooth front sprocket Custom rear pull strap Engine gaurds Frame protector Skidplate
Thanks for the reply! I am trying to do the same. Picking it up tomorrow. Your video confirmed what I was thinking. Was there any noticeable cons to installing the 12 tooth sprocket?
I have yet to mess with the rear clickers. The rear definitely needs to be stiffer and the same for the front. At high speeds hitting hard whoops etc i bottom out the front and rear
I know everybody’s different in certain people enjoy different things. But God dammit, Enduro riding just looks like the worst thing in the world. It just never looks fun to me.
Its for those that enjoy the challenge. The harder it gets the more it pushes you your riding skill and limits. Its not for everyone and sometimes people dont want to come back out with me after i take them out lol. its really just an adrenaline rush and the excitement of seeing where you can ride a dirtbike
