thank you so much. i did think i could make it shorter some of the cutting of the not as good stones is bit long. I only started playing recently here. Just playing with the lengths format and content. see what works best. Hopefully I will get better with time. It helps to have interest and constructive comments like yours bless you

@@AusOpal like Alfred Hitchcock Saïd “kill your darlings. I like the music too. Tip for more exposure is to make Shorts and release just before your main video.

That you mentioned the traditional shape... I love freeform.. cabochons look like something for the elderly, or in an antique shop. They're beautiful, but... I love them free and polished with rich gold

Cracking video mate, thanks! The blue picture stone looks a bit like a tree when it's a certain way up. Which area of the fields does that very blue base (some on black) come from? I've not sen that before. Like the long detailed vid format and seeing the not so great cuts. Music is good for me, but thing with music is people have different tastes.
@AusOpal
@AusOpal Год назад
thanks mate. yeah the blue is like a tree its from lightning ridge but cant tell you which field. yeah you can't please everyone with music. so i use different king on diff vids thanks for all the comments :) and yeah bad cuts are part of it

I much preferred the video from the thirty minute area where you were offering information, not a fan of the music. i definitely would have picked off the clay with a blade or pin then Dremel as the finished weight is also important, yes freeform carving is my preference, the pretty coloured water flowing to the drain cannot be sold. speaking of selling, i have walked around the Ridge with a parcel trying to sell at $18,000, i got the feeling the people i approached were thinking(he's dreaming) so yes after 20 years i still have it but have improved it by rubbing and polishing. when you cite the figures you hope for how confident do you feel you will receive that amount?Where do you think that money will come from? Ebay, or elsewhere?
@AusOpal
@AusOpal Год назад
thank you Lane your preferences is noted i will have videos for everyone . i understand i cant please everyone all at once? really nice to get a feedback though specially constructive :). The prices I estimate come from what i am able to get for the opal from my own clients. I don't use 3rd party sites like ebay or etsy anymore. I haven't been able to get decent prices there. At the ridge those there are always looking for a bargain including myself. Lots of times i find it. I have my own site that build trust with clients and that works for me plus just private relationship build over the years. I also find that rough opal can appeal more to some who pay actually extra for the fun it is exposing the colour yourself. Its getting the right person .Some don't want the risk of rough and want to see exactly what they are getting and they will pay more fir rubbed stones. Its just knowing your buyer i suppose. Opal value is and always will be subjective as they are all so different,

@AusOpal Год назад
hey my apologies. I deleted by mistake and can't undo it. I am new at this. Everything i do is real and authentic. Blue is the most common Australian opal colour. That is what opal is as it is on my videos. No filters are used. Opal is wet mostly and i use lights like anyone would doing a youtube vid or any photography. I also adjust the exposure best i can so you can see the real colours of the stones. Your comments about rough opal not showing blue are not correct. I suggest looking into Australian opal further for more knowledge. Also please make constructive comments instead of accusations and attacking ones. BTW this is a different account you are using to where you made the comment from thank you for your interest in my channel :)
