Honestly - Go get it! Not because I personally like the bag, but because you will for sure always think about the bag in spring and summer. You've thought about it for so long and you will for sure think about it in the future. Order it and see, what your first feeling is when you look at it - from my experience, the first gut feeling is always the right one 😉 Forget about the images you can take with it and go with the feeling when you have it 😉 Do NOT forget to film it 🙂
I‘ve seen some very strangly shaped ones on the preloved marked. With my luck, I‘ll get a complelty crooked one, when ordering online - and then be completely underwhelmed and disappointed 😂🙈. But I would definitely film my first reaction 🤍
Get it! I pondered on it for years and bought it last year. My goodness I love it . I actually bought it after my trip to Mauritius I sat on the beach and wondered why I never bought it. Arrived back home and purchased it and have since had further beautiful travels with it.
What a coincidence you were thinking about that bag during a Mauritius trip aswell 😁 - this time I ended up going for a cheaper straw bag alternative (but if the Loewe bag keeps beeing on my mind, maybe I‘ll still get it aswell 🙈)
This bag is a classic. A raffia bag never goes out of fashion. I hope you got it. In my opinion it’s a good investment in terms of cost per wear. You will get it out every year in the Spring and Summer.
I think it depends on where you live. I live in a tropical country so this is such an investment for me as I usually use my loewe basket bag when I go out for errands, the grocery, or the mall. Strangely enough, I don’t use this when I go to the beach as I don’t want to get it wet. But overall, I love the loewe basket bag as it instantly elevates any outfit I wear or makes it more interesting.
I have the loewe and celine, to be honest I wouldnt have paid 500€ for Celine. Its too soft and the leaves were almost bad, they couldnt even properly sewn the Celine label inside (mine came not in the middle). I didnt change it since I had to wait 2 weeks in total to receive it. The Loewe one is much sturdier and can definitely lasts longer and can fit heavier things. Im definitely for the Loewe here ❤

Hahaha, when someone ask me for my opinion, I‘m oftentimes an enabler aswell. I looked out preloved, but I only find the bag offered very close to retail, or even above 😫
@@LuMiLevelUp Would you consider selling the rainbow tote (not Fendi) to help fund this? That tote is harder to style. The white Loewe is easier to style and more timeless.
The recently had a silk bandeau with exactly that pattern. I‘m not sure, if it‘s current collection, or by now past collection - but it got me super tempted 😅🙈
I've wanted the elephant basket bag for 2 years, but I've held off because it's raffia. Also, I've always wanted other things that are more practical. Another issue for me is wondering if it suits my lifestyle. I don't live the influencer life, and I don't know how practical the open straw tote would be for running errands. I would likely only use it a few times per year. Raffia bags are a summer classic, so I don't think it's too late if you love it! It was trendy, but subtle enough to not be too trendy if that makes sense.
Poola from With a touch of luxury has the white Loewe raffia bag and loves it as a practical everyday-bag aswell. She says it‘s super easy and carefree to use. Probably influenced me a lot 😁
@@LuMiLevelUp Not at all. I tend to buy what I like and keep my bags a long time. I almost never go for trends - just classic pieces that stand the test of time. What is better for summer than an attractive/ useful straw bag!
My dear, seeing the bags you already have you really don’t need this one. The bag is indeed really nice and the price is still fine, but there will be other bags in the future catching your eye and better filling up a gap in your bag collection.

I think you should go around and carry your kurt geiger straw bag first to get the feeling of whether you are going to like the style or not before purchasing the expensive loewe ❤️ the straw bag is so seasonal, you probably can spend 450€ for another bag that can be used all year. And do u want your bag to get wet, sand and stain from the beach?😂
I definitely don’t want to get it wet and stained 😅🙈 - but carrying the Kurt Geiger one to get a better feel for it, is a great idea. I somehow just can’t get that Loewe bag out of my mind 🤍🙈
In Portugal youhave these bags for 10 euro its called “empreita” both Portugal Spain Marrocco do these artisan bags for 10 to 30 euros with leather handles. Its crazy the price of Loewe and other brands who use southern european artisans the same who do 10 to 30 euro bags.
I love the Loewe one so much and the 450€ is SOOO CHEAP ! that's practically free for this price I love straw bags for summer I got my Delvaux last year in straw
i have three large baskets i use for my laundry that look very similar❤ they are very chic laundry baskets i bought them even though they were not for sale at some fancy clothing store i was at with a girlfriend😂❤ they are surprisingly durable but it does scare me when i step on them🙈
If you really really like it and don’t care about trends, but still want it less than retail, I suggest waiting for one preloved. Even if is still on trend, someone may have thought it 3 years ago and be tired of it. Maybe ask some of those influencers 😅😊

I see your dilemma…. She’s a very chic and sophisticated bag for summer and if you are going to a posh resort, she would fit right in! For me, I only travel once a year to beach location in the summer so I can’t really justify that price tag 🤦🏻♀️ I have seen it sold on preloved so I’m sure you’ll find one at a good price! 🤞🙏🏻💕
I'm somewhat drawn to basket style bags. I was in IKEA the other week and almost bought a jute basket/bag to carry as an actual bag! It's only 10 pounds! 😵💫 But the weave is a bit loose in some places and I worry it will stretch out more with use.
To me, luxury and straw don’t go together. I just can’t do it. It’s really pretty and It’s a good price for a designer bag, but it’s the same bag you can get almost anywhere in the summer. That’s my opinion. If you love it, get it. I know you will enjoy your vacation no matter what bag you wear.😊
Not a bad price but I think It would be good for an occasion. I'd get a Hermes or Prada though. It's not on my list but id probably be crazy and go that route. Versace makes good beach bags :)
What would I do? I would definitely use the Kurt Geiger bag. What should you do? You should buy the Loewe. You certainly have waited and thought about it. If you love it that much, you will use it all summer, so buy it and enjoy!
Hahaha, thank you Susan 🤍 yesterday I sold another bag for 480€ and today one more for 80€. That would be one-in and two-out and even 110€ „saved“ if I now bought the Loewe one 😁… sounds quite mindful to me 😌
I agree that luxury straw bags are grossly overpriced. However, I really like the small and I live in Hawaii so this would be a year-round bag for me that will go with almost anything in my closet. So I recently ordered one and am now watching vids while I await my new bag. I considered the elephant version but that is $440 more and the basic one appealed to me just as much. I do see many of these bags out and about and have admired, carried by locals or tourists from Asia.

Tory Burch has been doing this bag for years!! Hers is the local beaches chick. Tory is resort wear go to & that's the only place I would take a high street or high end bag period. Tory is respected & safe. Very affordable ready to wear beach/ resort wear. I got it from ShopBop. And mine came smooshed & the straw has a crease on the bottom bc of. I found one by an Italian brand @ TJMaxx for super cheap did that haul last season They are @ best good for a few years if you use them as intended. They are too rough in materials to use as a real bag & too delicate for every day use it won't make it through a season. Heads up straw & water don't mix so make sure to set them FAR away from water. IKR?!! It's gona get trashed don't worry lk I said they are only for a season or two at best. Or buy a Bogg Bag. If you can get one for under 400 go for it!! 24s gives 5% it says in fine print on LV with the code FIRST10 which can be used more than once but they are cracking down on that also I've noticed of late. The last two LV pieces I bought it would not work but I was lucky enough to get about 5 - 6 pieces with the extra off. I know so hard right?!! But they do a sale every other day that you can use lk extra 20% off on everything but LV & Fendi (Dior I'm sure but Idk) they never give anything off on period but just have to b patient & try later if you can. I know they put Loewe on sale & yes still a very much relative brand & tote is classic. I use Capital One Shopping browser & get emails where I can use 30% cash back & get it on my LV purchases from 24s. Nothing works every time but has saved me a pretty penny a LOT. NOT affiliated just sayin'.

I felt exactly like you two years ago. I caved, bought it and was surprised how much I love using it in the summer. I use the dust bag as an insert for some security. Still genuinely excited to wear it again this season! Not sure if this will help you. 😂🫣
Weeeell, on the one hand it‘s a „go for it, I love that bag“, on the other hand it‘s a „I‘ve joined the party 2 years earlier - you might be a little late“. But I think I‘ll still take it as a „GO FOR IT“ 😂🤍
I truly expected to be underwhelmed when I got it because of the rave reviews. I can’t even pin-point exactly why I love it so much. It’s raffia, seasonal, not secure, pricy for the material and yet….🤌🏼. It works and I enjoy carrying it. 😊
