I have a 2023 A91 6MT (cu later gray) and it's such a fun car. You weren't kidding when you said the shifter and transmission feel is unlike rubbery bmw's. Since this A91 is not my daily, I literally will make excuses to run errands, go grocery shopping or anything just go hop in the car weekends. Extremely happy. I heard the 2023 manuals with the B58 have been dynoing stock around 400hp. It's already fast as is, can't imagine how crazy it will get when I tune and go above 500hp.
the a91 mt is fast the manual tranny have alot less parisitic drag then the torque converter they tend to dyno 10-15hp more then the auto counterpart plus it weight 40kg less in almost every 1/4 mile test even thou the car is about .2 second slower to 60 and the quater it always clocks higher speed then the auto.
Camaro SS 1LE will beat this on a track, correct? Believe that’s at least $7k less and can drive with its windows rolled down which is a nice option. Both have terrible visibility but the SS does have steering feel and a V8. Still think the Supra is overpriced.
Probably depends on the track tbh but yeah the SS 1LE will slightly outperform the Supra in most cases. My friend who had both cars says so, although he says the Supra is more fun.
The Camaro you mentioned is a good comp I have never heard anyone else mention! People compare the GR Supra with the GR Corolla, GR86, Porsche Cayman, 2021 F87 BMW M2, etc. I own a 2023 Supea A91 6MT and I'm not gonna lie, it's a fun ass car, nimble, agile and fast when I want it to. And I haven't even added a downpipe yet or tuned it yet. If I get it to 550hp or so range it's gonna be wild in the canyon or spirited drives in manual. I'd be curious to drive the Camaro you mentioned to see how it is. I have never owned a Camaro, but have buddies who love them.
People forget about how good the Alpha platform 6th gen camaros are. It doesn't even need to be a ZL1. Just a regular SS with the 1LE package will rip on a track. Easily the best bang for your buck.
but you gotta be fair also the camaro ss 1le comes with goodyear eagle f1 SuperCar with a threadwear of 220 while the supra comes with pilot super sport with a threadwear of 300 if the supra was given the same tires or is equiped with a pilot cup 2 tires i bet it would beat a camaro ss 1le in most tracks.
