Some people don’t seem to understand.... if you imagine the garden game swing ball ...the tennis ball representing the moon and the pole the earth the rope representing the tidal lock of the moon to the earth. If a ant was on the top of the pole it would always see that side of the tennis ball. If another ant was near the bottom of the pole it to would see the same side always of the tennis ball . But for that ant the bottom of the tennis ball would appear to be the top for that ant. Same as what we on earth observe. Flat Earthers will yell that the moon is upside down cause the world is flat. Now that I got that out of the way, it's very fascinating to know the moon is upside down. For me it's even hard for me to wrap my head around it. But I know that it's not due to the world being flat. When I was a little kid and my school teacher said that the Harvest Moon will be out tonight. I remember this and I was in 1ft grade when she told the class this. I'm 47yrs old now and I can tell you that I had forgotten about the moon that night. However my mom needed to go to the store and I went with her. On our way home, I saw the biggest moon I'd ever seen before. This thing was huge and I wanted my mom to stop on the road so I could just sit there and watch it. I was lucky and my brother took me across the street so I could look at it some more. I am pretty sure that it was a Super Harvest Moon that night, but don't quote me on the Super part. I have never and I'm pretty sure that I'll never get to see the moon like that again. I think the reason I won't see the moon that big again is easy to explain. When you are about 25yrs old and you might have a kid in elementary school. You walk in and go into the cafeteria. When I was a kid, those ceilings were so high... But when I went to eat lunch with my son. Man those tall ceilings weren't so tall anymore. Our perspective changes over time and those things that were so big weren't anymore. I grew up playing basketball and the rim was so high in elementary school and started getting lower as I grew. I remember not being able to touch the nets on the rim. My freshman year I was not only able to touch the nets, I was able to dunk the basketball. I couldn't help but think how lucky I was. Last thing. In my mommas house in the hallway is a string to pull down the attic steps. I remember running and jumping trying to hit it. I couldn't hit that freaking thing for nothing in the world. Then one day I tipped it off my finger tips. This was an everyday thing now. I literally would try and touch that thing every time I went to my bedroom or bathroom. When I turned 16yrs old, I could not jump to touch it and I felt so good. There was no need to jump anymore, I could slap it when I walked by it. It used to drive my mother bonkers, cause I didn't just touch it, oh no I slapped the crap out of it and it made a loud pop sound. There is no doubt in my mind, that if we still had that house today, I'd slap it again and again. I almost knocked on the door of my mommas old house. Just so I could go in and slap the piss out of it one last time. I miss my momma very much and it's hard to believe it's been so many years since I saw her or heard her voice. If you have a parent left, give them a huge hug for me. If you have a had a fight with a parent, make up. I didn't make up with my dad and I have regretted that crap every day since. I saw the full moon rising in the east from my front yard turned one way, then early next morning in the dawn sky from my back yard I saw it had turned 180 degrees from its original position. Does that mean I was standing on my head in my back yard? NO! The moon simply moved over my house my city my state without revolving. What was the top became the bottom once it had traversed the 180 degree semi circle of its path. So top of moon as viewed from front yard to the east, became bottom of the moon when viewed from back yard towards the west. Simple observation. Do it yourselves.

But the US Navy has other tools for finding their exact location and avoiding hazards, such as GPS and radar, and the Moon is not useful for finding those things. I don't think Catfish owns a telescope or a sextant and I'm not sure how he can back up claims of making precise observations.

The moon would have to shift itself from the North and go down to the South for both areas for us to see it at the same time in space if we were on a ball. The motioning of the camera using his helmet reveals this. We are looking upwards and outwards (but no one caught onto it in his demonstration). Since the moon would be in one spot, it would be impossible for the North and South to see it at the same time if we were on a ball. The moon is a reflection. Different places are seeing the same moon at the same time reflected while we are on a plane. Where you live reveals if it is upside down or not. Reflections flip the image and invert the image and multiply it so everyone can see it. We aren't on a ball. We are on a plane. And the moon is also a disk. No matter if you are in the air or on the ground, everyone sees the same underface. There is never a new partial underside. The next question is why if you are in an airplane or on the ground you do see the same face with no new angle when there should be.
His helmet represented the Earth. His face represented the Moon (and didn't move). The camera on the helmet represented someone travelling around the Earth.
It rotates. The video is a fail. The moon doesn't move North to South like he motioned with his camera using his helmet. If the moon were in the North (people are looking up and outward), the people in the South could not see it (they too are looking up and outward and not in the direction of the UK to see where it should be).

This proves the moon is spherical. Flat Earth theory relies on flat moon theory, but the problem is that the moon always looks circle from 4 corners of the Earth. The moon would have to be very oblong from two corners to look circle from the other two corners.
It's not hard to set up an scenario for understanding the puzzle. Imagine your living room floor is the flat Earth. You, your family and friends are the world population. Everibody has the same down-up sense (direction), it is of course the floor-ceiling direction. Now there is a ligth bulb connected to an electrical output fixed on the ceiling. If you think about this bulb as the moon it is easy to see that the extreme that has the screw thread contact that connects to the electrical output (next to the ceiling) is the upper part of the moon and the opposite extreme is the lower part of the moon (the one closer to the floor). It is also easy to see that no matter in what part of the flat earth you are, and no matter what the distance earth-moon (floor-ceiling) is, everibody sees the upper moon up end the lower moon down. Now imagine that in the living room there is a sphere floating between the floor and ceiling (the sphere being the earth). It is also easy to see that the down-up sense depends upon where you are on the sphere surface. For parts of this surface closer and closer to the ceiling the the orientation of the moon is similar to the flat earth scenario. For parts of this surface closer and closer to the floor the view of the moon yields to an image of an upsidedown moon because, of course, yourself are more and more upside down, your feet being more an more closer to the ceiling than your head.
In order to understand the posture on Earth of those who think (beliave, know, etc.) that the Earth is flat, it would be very useful that they tell the following: Average thickness of the flat Earth. Shape and size of this Earth. Distances between more famous cities in the world. Position and description of magnetic and geographic north and south poles. Position and description of equator. Size and nature (are they flat or balls?) of Sun and Moon. Distances (maximum, minimum, average) from Earth to Sun and Moon. Path shape of the trajectories that the Sun and the Moon follow in the sky. Time that Sun and Moon use to complete one cycle of their movements. Is the requested information constant through the flat earth information sources? What I mean is, for example, are the size of the moon and the distance to earth the same in several serious flat earth info sources? Are there several or just one "official" flatearth sources of information? How can we access them? I think it only be fair to know all that I have mentioned because this information, when we talk about a ball earth, is available, and consistent, in many printed and online astronomy books, encyclopedias, astronomy and science sites, etc. So, could someone be nice and give this information? Imagine, if you put a picture of the moon on your ceiling with North being the top of the paper and South being the bottom of the same piece of paper. Stand on the side of the room with the North end of the paper, look up at the paper moon on your ceiling (This is the UK observation). Now, go to the other side of the room where the southern end of the paper moon on your ceiling is, turn and look up at your paper moon (this is the Aussie observation of the same moon) its now reversed because folks are looking up at it from opposite directions above and below the equator. Just because the "Paper Moon" on my ceiling might change its shape due to the angle of perception and it only being a few feet above my head, the actual moon is 247k miles away so looking up at it outside irl doesn't equate to the paper moon on my ceiling doing the same thing. Nothing discussed in my explanation has anything to do with the movement of the moon, nor does the guy in the video mention the movement of the moon in his explanation of Static Photos taken from different hemispheres and seeing the moon flipped and reversed in the sky for the 2 observers in those locations at nearly the same time. The only thing mentioned in the video is the guy demonstrating on his helmet, going around the curve to see the moon flipped and reversed, he states nothing about the movement of the moon to make that happen as we see it from both locations. If you're that focused on the Moon's movement then you must disagree with the video explanation for why he says it happens as well, since he doesn't mention the Moon's movement as you've described, then it can't be possible on that "model" either right? 🤷🏿♂️ Around 1:13 he begins to talk about a photo taken from the UK, and his current photo from AUS, he never mentions the Moon's movement unless he stated it elsewhere in the video and I missed it. Actually the moon is also rotating facewise during it's daily, nightly journeys, so it isn't so surprising if it's upside down when it reaches Australia, on a flat earth... The same occurs over America actually (check it out if you don't believe me). Cheers
Nice logic. On your flat model the moon just rotate in clockwise, but without any other rotation. That's mean moon on flat model is same for UK and Australia.

@@homebrued The Moon is not turning like a clock. We only have the concept of "clocks" for measuring the rotation of the Earth. From a perspective off of the Earth's surface, for example from the surface of the Moon's near side, from which perspective the Earth appears not to move across the sky at all, we can perceive the rotation of the Earth around its axis, but none of this "confounded" or "like a drunkard" stuff.
The moon rotates and moves according to time zones and people see the moon based on their perspective where they live. The moon isn't a round ball either or different places should have been able to see the underside or the side who are looking at it at the same time where they live.
The moon doesnt do revolutions so it cant rotate, meaning it doesnt spin. It supposedly shifts without ever showing anyone anywhere on earth the darkside is never seen

The rotation I meant wasn't the spin in a circle, but that it looks upside down in the south, for example, and is based on what people are seeing from where they live. If it were truly a ball, people would be able to see the underside and other sides from where they live, but no one ever has. We only see the one side. And if there are people who are looking up and outward seeing it at night, it would not be visible during the daytime elsewhere. This only works on a flat plane.

Just because your on the bottom of the ball the North pole would still be in the same spot right? And the “North Pole” of the moon would still be in the same spot right? If the moon orbits around the earth approximately around the equator then the top of the moon should be similar as the top of the earth so if I have my back facing north my view of the moon should be the same anywhere on the earth. The only thing that would change is that I may have to lean back further to see the moon on the southern hemisphere.
Haha because if you stand on the North Pole vs the South Pole you are technically upside down when comparing the two. Shouldn’t be that hard to understand haha.
Too many ppl can’t see that the moon has flipped. The meek shall inherit the earth.. get your heart (magnet) right with Mother Earth. It’s the only way to help when we switch suns.
I was sitting here watching a completely un related video that had a photo of the moon and I thought "Why did he flip the photo upside down?" then I realized the photo might not be from the northern hemisphere. For some reason I couldn't wrap my head around it so I googled "moon photo from australia" and now im here.
oh! ! the pattern looks different to me and i thought it maybe rotated or something. Used to looked at the moon for long time with a telescope as a child, i knew it was different.
People in the South would need to look in the direction of the UK to see the moon if they were to see it in the ball earth model. And they should be able to see its underside.
The sea of tranquility is always on the right hand side, all your seeing is 80 degrees rotation in Australia, if you were on the underside of the earth . The sea of tranquility wouldn't be visible
Hey Greg I'm Aussie as. And I think, no I know when I view the moon I'm viewing it the right side up. And as for Orion, well I think he was so taken with Australia that he was knocked upside down 🌜✨🌛
Fiona P your view isn't upside down, it's relative to hemisphere. It's upside down from what we know, and if you we're in the northern Hemisphere, it'll be upside down from what you know!
Hypothetically speaking lets say we had advanced tech that could allow us to bypass the earths crust lets say with that tech we could drill a hole from north pole to south pole... At which point would you magically flip upside down so that you dont come out the south pole feet first?
