The Neewer 660 Pro RGB is a lighting kit that I have had for a number of months now and have extensively tested. The lighting quality is evidenced all across my RU-vid channel in recent months and though it will absolutely do the job, I do have a number of things to discuss about them in this video.

Are the batteries charged in the lamp or do you need a separate charger?

great review thanks, kind of put me off them though for background accent lights maybe ok. Regarding softboxes etc for amaran led lights - I have bowens mount photography mods -can they be used on led lights or are there reasons why you need led specific ones.

In general, you can use a Bowens mount accessory with an Amaran light that has a Bowens mount, it should work. Only thing to be careful with is that sometimes the COB region may extend a bit further than that of a photography light and so the illumination area may be less even than with a modifier made specifically for an LED light. This is particularly important when you think about modifiers like spotlights which can get extremely hot and whose optics may be tuned for a specific source-to-glass distance.
