Is the NEW 2021 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Pkg a good midsize SUV to buy? 

My parents just bought my grandparents this car and they absolutely love it. It’s perfect for them because they like to travel a lot, thanks for the review Joe.

I just bought an Explorer XLT with Ford's new color, Stone Gray. It is a very smooth ride and very luxurious inside and out. I have to mention I didn't purchase it until after I saw Raiti's review. Raiti is the go-to guy for automobile reviews. When I want to know about guns, Hickok45 is the man. When I want a car/suv review, Raiti is the man. The explorer is one of those cars that’s really hard to go wrong with. You know you’re getting a solid vehicle. Excellent vid!

I got my Explorer XLT 2021 last year. I was amazed by how much power her 4 cylinder engine provides. The turbo definitely does the work. I did not keep it for very long because my wife robbed it from me

The county and state Police and the FBI all drive Exporers. I like it too, but its so darn expensive.

Ford needs another "Bon Jovi" driving mode - "Living on a Prayer" that makes the car transmit a speed signal of 55 to any police :)

I bought this exact model couple weeks ago and couldn’t be happier. Extremely comfortable seats and handles well. Fun to drive. And oh yeah it was between the explorer and Cadillac xt6. At nearly half the price and so much nicer I went with Ford

I really like the explorer... especially the ST. However my son bought a new 2021 XLT and one day while driving, multiple safety systems failed at the same time including AWD and traction control... that threw the vehicle out of control at a very slow rate of speed... no injuries or damage to the vehicle however a major concern going forward with the vehicle.

The wife and I bought our first Explorer in 1991 and have always owned one. The 2021 is our 4th and we love it. Bought it last November when we totaled our 2008 in Colorado. The side airbags deployed and the cost to replaced the entire headliner totaled it. We got our "stone" colored XLT at a DFW dealership where we have purchased all of our Explorers and this by far is the best one. I learned a lot from your video about things I didn't know, like the adjustable rear seats and the huge Twinkie storage. Great video.

I love my 2021 Explore XLT Sport plenty of room very comfortable great on fuel. Lots of power.

Bought this for my wife. Ours has 4x4 and sunroof. We tow a wildwood fsx with it. It goes very well up to 65. Don’t go over that or it drinks the fuel. She absolutely loves it. Silver, sport package. Every option.

Might consider buying this just for the special twinkie tray 🤣 thanks again for your dedication and hard work..

IMO this is the best looking crossover on the market right now, on the exterior only.

It would be great to have the Bronco colours options for the Explorer.

Car is cool, but we more impressed with him and how funny yet educational he is. Who knew food could be the way to give a vehicle tour.

Looks nice! I just wish they had a cleaner layout for the touchscreen. It looks like an iPad tacked onto the middle of the dash.

I've always liked the Explorer. My dad bought an early 2012, from the factory, all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, he couldn't get the hang of the SYNC with voice commands, and traded for a Hyundai Santa Fe lol. The price point was $72,000 CDN, which was a whole lot of an ouch. This, at just over $40,000, is a great bargain. For me, that wiper is about the only zonk. Love all the twinkie room! As usual, the 3rd row seating would be folded until needed. Overall, I'd be very happy with one in my driveway, hopefully someday. Great review, Joe! Thanks for all you do Lori, Joe must be a handful, some days lol

I bought one about a month ago ( just a normal XLT) and i had to see your take on it I tell you what when you take off it throws you into your seat I love it so far

We just bought one, was intending to get the ST, but for our needs the 4 cylinder turbo has plenty of power, just couldn’t justify spending more for the bigger engine. In Canada they only sell 4WD Explorers, but it’s still a rear bias system.

On that trim level of the Ford Explorer, it has heated (but not ventilated) front seats. But there are no heated seats in the mid row. Would've been nice to have heated mid-row. But (I know) it has a 12 volt for the mid row for a heated (even a ventilated) seat cushion, but there's just only one 12 volt. Guess you and your passenger might have to fight to whoever gets to use it. (I know) it also has a home power source for an aftermarket overhead (or a touchscreen) entertainment system.

My experience. Many cups of coffee and many trips to the dealer. Many "Oh, that's normal. They're made that way." Oh really? "Please hunt down all the rattles and squeaks! They're made that way?" Never again.

We have a 21 explorer platinum, I still think the exterior of the explorer is the best in the segment, but yes the interior is lacking areas. What’s annoying is the portrait screen that isn’t at least like the one in the mach or even the edge, and it doesn’t have sync4 for a 2021 car

Yes sir love this gen explorer ST trim for me tho in that blue paint...

Durable, dependable and affordable. In Limo work, I used these as a Luggage backup vehicle. Not especially fancy like my Navigator, or Escalade; but in a pinch, it would pick up people too. That 28 mpg is quite good. For a cross country family vacation hauler, it's hard to beat, unless you want to part with big bucks.

My friend has a 2020. At 14,000 miles the transmission needed replacement! 3 months at the dealer! Check iut the complaints about this car. One parsons transmission failed at 331 miles! Brand new vehicles!

Thank god there's no tesla style infotainment.

I got a 2020 limited AWD in October and I love it but should i waited a month like nov 2020 for a 2021 tho; let’s see when this man does a review at some time on the limited 2021!!!

Europe just gets the V6 PHEV with a whopping 457 horsepower. However, we don’t get that in the UK unfortunately. I know The Netherlands and Germany get them; I saw AutoTopNL test the PHEV version on their channel.

9:10 - 9:18 - AGREED!! That vertical setup, so many SUVs are doing these days, makes the infotainment system look like an AFTERTHOUGHT!!! “Oops!! Forgot the infotainment!! Let me just stick an iPad on here.” 😂 …actually, even the horizontal setup on there looks like an afterthought-iPad situation! Hahaha!! WHY??!! Embed the infotainment screen in the dash. Looks much better!!

I miss the explorer’s from the 2000’s

Awesome vid like always, but I had a 2020 and got rid of it after 8 months I couldn't stand the transmission always shifting.

I owned an explorer sport in 16 and the soot on the tail pipes drove me crazy I was wiping them down every time I parked it and I remember alot of people saying the same thing that might be the reason for the dumps before the bumper either that or the high carbon dioxide in the cabin recall a few years earlier

I don't like the screens that aren't integrated into the dash.

This car came last year with new body style wasn't fond at all finally grew on me not long afterwards. It was a perfect vehicle see these all over hope the new 2022 Pathfinder be worth something when hits showrooms saw the new exterior and interior so in love with it time speeding up so be coming to showrooms soon. Explorer is a good looking vehicle like the tablet infotainment dash and interior looks good think be a good midsize SUV also like the Telluride as well my mind is on the new Pathfinder.

Unfortunately changed do to the body design changes rear to boxy rotary gear. Intrusive large dash tablet changed to an x7 was dispointed with Ford changes and traded my 2018 platinum which I really liked..

I think They should have added turning signals on the side mirrors And maybe change the design of the Brake lights in the back, if they changed the front headlights they should have done it also in the back to complete the whole thing 🤷‍♂

Idk what it is about the ford explorer interior but over the years it has began to look cheaper and cheaper to me like moving back in time.

You should also add feedback on the music systems. That would be helpful

I been watching your videos for a while, i realize i havent subscribe. Sorry for that, i just did. Btw i bought that same one in Blue, so far i love it. I couldnt get it at 41k, cars in here (Puerto Rico) are way lot more expensive that in the mainland.
