Is the NEW 2021 Nissan Rogue S the BEST compact SUV under $30k?

I think it looks good. Most people will like the base model and it should serve them well. For the price, it’s a nice suv. I’m old enough to remember when cars had vinyl seats, manual stick shifts, manual doors locks, hand crank roll up windows, no standard air conditioning , seat belts for extra money and only an AM radio. This base model Rogue Is a luxury car for most people. It’s job is to go from point A to Point B carrying stuff and people in some level of comfort for a fairly low price. Great review on this base model that most folks would love to own.

I like how even for a base, it still has led headlights, actual rims no more hubcaps, big screen infotainment, not a small Bluetooth only setup with a tiny screen for a backup camera like in previous Nissan models for the base trim. I can’t wait to see how other trims differ in value vs tech.

To people complaining about the CVT - considering the CRV has a CVT and so does most of subaru's line up, theres very little chance of nissan dropping the CVT at this point. Mainstream small SUV's will keep moving to that direction.

Thanks. Good review. Purchased the Rogue SV and I have been very pleased with new Rogue. The side pocket is more functional than it first appears. The split center condole is so convenient. If Nissan could give us 200 hp, the Rogue would be Rav4 killer.

Absolutely the nicest base model interior I have seen. And those wheels for a base model, I think there nicer design than the platinum wheels.

I bought mine last night, exact same trim level and color. The one thing I did notice that was different though, is that mine has a nice glossy knob for the drive selector.

i have never been a fan of the rouge, but in early 2022 i wanted a small crossover/suv. after a few test drives this was ultimatley my choice and the best choice. even though i am not a fan of the cvt i have no complaints with my rouge awd s. the price, looks good roomy and comfortable. nissan did a good job in redesigning the next generation rouge.

I honestly dare to say people need to stop complaining about cvt, in the future it'll be much cheaper than a full automatic transmission and cheaper. Give it time people, everyone is doing great. I have over 200,000 miles on my outlander sport cvt and never had an issue, yeah it sucks. Yeah it's boring, but as long as it's not on a sports car *SUBARU* then I think it's okay. It's going to be the norm for normal sedan and suvs.

Joe, after reviewing the comments below in regard to the Pro Pilot assist and looking closely at your video. You can see that on the right hand side of the steering wheel there is the small "blue" button and below that the button for the following distance. I also see to the far left by ones knee and in the advanced drive assist display while you were toggling through it, it said "steering assist" which is part of PPA. This could not have been an S model as Pro Pilot Assist is only available on the SV model. I'm quite confused as I'm a corporate trainer for Nissan, I've been training on this vehicle for 3 months and I have all the info in print and in the PIG. Thanks

I am looking at getting a new mid priced SUV around $30-45k and would like to know, is the nissan rogue the best value for the money in that price range? which trim would you suggest in buying? And is the platinum trim the way to go? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks! And keep up the great content!

Great video! I see that even in the base model in your video, it is equipped with Nissan’s Propilot assist. However when I look at other base models, I don’t see it equipped. Is pro pilot assist an add on to the Nissan rogue S but not standard?

I can’t live without it in my life each day. Please could you turn on the radio on all your reviews. I would 💟 to hear the sounds coming from it. I must have my Music on all the time while driving. My 2009 Jeep Compass Ltd, 4X4 has CD player, where you can download about 3500 songs into it. What does the all new Nissan Rogue have? I owned in 1997 Nissan Pathfinder and I loved it!! I never had any problems with it!! Great vehicle I bought it with 37,500 km on it, and drove it for 13 years in all kinds of weather in Canada. I sold it with only 55,000 km on it to my nephew. I now really miss it 😢 Joe, will Nissan be re-designing the Pathfinder by any chance!! Because it really hasn’t changed that much. And I feel all of Nissan’s vehicle’s are all showing there ages!! I think all of there models need a overhaul down the hole line. Because there’s a lot out on the market theses days to choose from, with a lot of different sizes, styles, looks, and price points for people to choose from!! How does one choose the right mid-size Suv for their family these days since you can’t really go into each dealership and take them out one by one for test drives since Coved-19 has turned our hole world upside down? And all these car companies know this!! I like them all but what ones this the Best Vehicle at the best “Price Point” in your view “Joe” ?? I don’t like any CVTs, but I’m now forced to begin accepting them. I like the way this one puts power down way better than that CVT Accord. It’s a very nice car overall. The Nissan Qashqi has been a best seller in Europe for years. There’s a lot of similarity. Thanks for the video.

Great review. I almost want to yell at Nissan demanding they throw in the VC Turbo motor along with an 8 speed regular TC automatic. Will be the perfect SUV for the price.

If I can get this S model for 22k we may have a new owner soon. This is really a sharp looking rouge. Got a more masculine look and sporty. Black is the best just hard to clean lol 🧼
