Is the New VinFast VF 9 the Best Electric Luxury SUV You've Never Heard Of? 

i test drove the VF8, the consumer product is not bad and much better than the early prototype showed last year during the opening showroom. It's not a bad vehicle but pricing might not be good since it's more than Tesla at this point and who is going to do buy that

All the VF models look amazing! I can't wait for their presence to ramp up across the US.

There are so much trash talk about Vinfast out there and most of them not even sit in the Vinfast yet. They always think Tesla is #1 but I think we need more companies like Vinfast, it’s good for the consumers if we have more choices. I will try the VF8 to see for myself instead of trash talking. Time will tell if this company any good. Really 2 years of leasing I got nothing to loose.

Based upon the range tests of the VF8, the 123 kW battery may only get 275-300 miles of range. And if the starting price is $83,000, this is going to be DOA.

I’m hearing a lot of “Vinfast says…” in this video. Vinfast said a lot of things about the VF8. Then it actually got into the hands of reviewers and all the things they said turned out to be BS. I am waiting for the weeklong driving reviews of this and the VF8 before I believe anything Vinfast says.

Interesting design, but there is much to be proven out. It will be interesting to see what you guys think of it when you actually get seat time. Personally I think they are going to have a tough time competing with the likes of Tesla and Hyundai.

Needs to be 20% cheaper than the competition.

So glad I canceled my reservation. Looks very cheap and the VF8 has been a joke.

Maybe it was just the lighting, but it looked like there was a center tunnel in the second row like a gasoline car might have? Nice looking car, but they're going to have a tough time breaking into the market.

Just other day I spotted VF8 driving around in San Gabriel, California. I mean the vehicle not too bad will replace Prius Prime over this….? Not quite yet they haven’t gone through 1st phrase yet brand in US (reliability and safety)

The best SUV that didn't came with a battery? It's hilarious that their announced price doesn't include the most expensive part, the batteries. And owners had to either rent them, or pay extra to buy the batteries.

Could get a rivian, hummer ev, tesla, f150 ev, all for the same price or cheaper.

I'm sorry. The car's name, design, and specs do not make it look like a hot seller. Starting a manufacturing facility is a big step and premature. Looking at the EV market, Lucid and Rivian don't seem to be doing all that well, All automakers not named Tesla seem to be in a chaotic mixed state of "we are coming up with EVs" vs. "WTF do we do next" ... so I would keep making cars in Vietnam for now, until a better market data is available to help with direction and future decisions.

Hey Nathan, I’ve never heard of a Vin fast and what is it and it’s made in Vietnam 🇻🇳 and it’s not made in America and it’s not going to have the federal tax credit rebate unlike Tesla, Rivian, GM and Ford which does have the federal tax rebate.

This Vinfast VF8 wasn't good car. In Vietnam, buyer had lot of problems. Turn off system, air conditioner not work, unstable system etc. Basically, VF5,VF7,VF9 are VF8' clone and VF e34' clone. Take care of ADAS, it's not production delivery to buyer

who all think that VinFast is backed by Huge Vingroup + it is cheaper than tesla will result in massive sales worldwide once it is able to prove itself in US Market
