You’re right, Nik, this is the best tennis shoe ever made! I had dozens of pairs when they originally came out. I just bought three more pairs as they are just sitting on Nike’s website. Thank you as always for the great videos, love the content!

My favourte tennis shoes of all time is the Vapor 9.5 because it's good all round (minus durability) but it's so soft and light. Second favourite is is ASICS Gel Resolution 8.

The 9.5 is the best tennis shoe. The 9's were a close second. I hated the X because it has a lateral flange sticking out(near you pinky toe). So glad Nike re-released the 9.5.

In HS, I loved playing in Nike tennis shoes, but I would go through them so fast, my parents stopped buying them for me. Ended up playing in Prince or Wilson because they would last longer... Haven't had a pair of Nike tennis shoes for probably 25-30 years... Might be time to try them out again.

don't bother - unless your rich. they wear out very fast. I wore adidas barricade for years, but the new models suck and they doubled the price.

Have bought a pair back in the day, OK-ish impression. Then I tried the FusionRev from Yonex. Went through 3, 4 and now looking to buy the 5th version. Best shoe for clay!

The 9.5 was by far the best Nike tennis shoe. The only real downside was durability wasn't great. Unfortunately, Nike doesn't see tennis as a big area of the business. If you look at their accounts and how tennis is treated on the balance sheet, it's basically a side hustle for them.

Hello Nikola, I have two of these shoes and are one of my favorite ones. For comfort, weight is light and I have wheels with them. I don’t have issues with them. Play on!

Hello, thank you for this video, I actually collect these Vapor Tour 9, 9.5 series - I got more than 30 different kind of pairs, I even got Dimitrov Sample of Vapor 9.5 with carbon and autograph! I would love to own similar sample of Roger's actual pair, but TOO MUCH $ :D Have a great day!

Shoemakers need to launch new models every year, and then they give a successful known name to a completely new tennis, in hopes that this can keep the sales high. And you know, this works in the beginning, but doesn't last long. Marketing and sales decisions rules over technical people at Nike, apparently. Congrats for giving your honest opinion at the channel, as always.

agree that At this point I think from Nike tennis, Nike Zoom Vapor 9 - 9.5 - X are best from Nike, they offer good comfort and lightness and also decent support that just enough for a player, can't hardly recommend other shoe after try them on, the only drawback I think is its durability (this is where Asics excell 😊). Closest to the Zoom Vapors from Asics is their solution speed FF line, a bit harder on the midsole (but still maintain decent comfort), less breathability but I think might be more durable. Recently trying Lacoste ag-lt23 ultra, and quite satisfied on the comfort, feel like a bulkier version of the Zoom Vapors, good enough to replace my vapors, I'm sticking to it now after it run out, and might be buying some Nike again, as I love Zoom technology for its comfort but hate its durability, maybe they changed that in near future

I think the vapor 9s were Tinker-designed, and the 9.5 is an adaptation of that. I like the design and the quality of the 9s more, but the 9.5s are still very good.

Aj3 better materials, they feel a tad more comfortable, weight seems the same. Durability is questionable on both with heavy usage Both are amazing imho

Personally never was a fan of the Vapors. They are great when new...problem is that only lasts a week, max. I always preferred the Gel Resolution line and the Adidas Solecourt Boost.

It's the same with the nike court air zoom gp turbos. They discontinued them and they were pretty much the most popular tennis shoe on the market! Not to mention Tiafoe and Osaka still wear them on the tour. praying that they bring these back

i have been wearing this pair for a month now, really good pair just like before. unfortunately the fabric on the front of the shoe is already starting to tear. it's on both shoes, so it looks like a factory defect

If you have a narrow foot with tiny toes. Bought one pair, and my foot hurt like Hell after every wearing. They lasted 3 years because I hardly ever wore them.

The new Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 5s are pretty darn close to the Vapor 9.5s. Very light and comfy. You should give them a try.

After a week in my first pair of 9.5s, I bought five more pairs, they’re still my favorite shoes of all-time (4.5 player). Glad I bought them when I could. Also I feel like many tennis shoes today, esp. from Nike, don’t look like serious competitor shoes, but more like titktok influencer shoes

Best shoes are the Yonext eclipson 4 as they have carbon fibre in the middle of shoe for stability - but these are way better than the nike9.5 in every category, othan than style and so is the new mizuni wave enforce tour

You play in college so to call your sell a teacher you have to start after yiu graduate from it, giving a tennis lessons to some do not make you a coach except you are Carlos Alcaras how offwer a lessons in some mexican ressort and this have to be count as experiance?

Well, some content Idea for you Nik. Since so many Tennis RU-vidrs had some Videos of New, or "Racket of the Year"-Kind of Content, including Strings, why not sprinkle some of this into your Tennis video routines. ? (Since you also doing material reviews as seen here) - My suggestion would be Rackets like YONEX Ezone 98/100 + YONEX Poly Tour Pro (e.g. the Kyrgios Racket) - since couple of Pros actually Switching to YONEX. (see @TennisNerd, or @TennCom)
