As SE Asia slow traveler Vietnam, Malaysia rank higher. Stories of can’t find age gap in either are not true. So much false info. Language isn’t a problem unless one makes it a problem. The most undervalued and overlooked are parts of Indonesia - not Bali.

Philippines is a 80% Christian Country which I am by my choice. Malaysia & Indonesia are predominantly Muslim countries. Vietnam is Communist country. Thailand is mostly Buddhist religion. Been there 3x nice place but not my preference. Philippines is not a perfect country and still a developing country but English is on all legal documents and permits. I like Singapore, South Korea and Japan but very expensive to live there if you’re in a major city,

Hi Mike, thank you for your videos and for your advices. Im from Valencia , (Spain 🇪🇦 , no Dumaguete 😅) and I have seen many videos from other american bloggers/RU-vidrs living in Philippines, most of them living in Dumaguete, and I always watch videos from them (hundred of them) and u are one of the best youtubers there is talking about the Philippines and especially about Dumagete. I am going to visit Dumaguete very soon, in the month of October. I will be there and I hope to have the opportunity to meet you and share with you some advices that you can give me. Well, my idea is in the not too distant future to retire to live in Dumaguete. Thank you for everything and for your good advice, keep it up!

I have been to Valencia Spain and it is huge compared to Dumaguete and very tiny Valencia NO. Are you prepared to be bored? Isn't housing in Spain affordable compared to most of the EU? At least you are probably Catholic so not everything will be strange.

@@dumaguetedreaming well of course, I love my city, but, also I want to live in Philippines and from these country travel to other places in Asia. Is not for all my life. Is not for looking for love, sex or anything else. I'm not interested in this things. Just I wanna enjoy the good people, weather, low cost of life and travel around Asia during my stay there.

@@hamradioworld3837 If you are going to travel a lot Cebu might be a better choice because you can only fly to Cebu or Manila from Dumaguete. Dumaguete is nice for the nature, local diving, and plenty of expat restobars.
