I'm a nintendo fan first, but this was the perfect year to buy a PS5. Yes I've been working on my PS backlog and played some pre 2024 games (including some PS4 ones) but Granblue Fantasy Relink, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Persona 3 Reload have been highly enjoyable and there are still quite some 2024 PS5 games I'm looking forward to!:)
Gained a new sub. The internet, youtube comments and twitter is not real(so toxic). We all know to get high quality games game dev will take time. I have been having a blast 2023 and 2024. I have played granblue relink, FF7 rebirth, stellar blade, currently play BG3. I don't regret buying my PS5 , i even have a pc but I still like console gamong due to couch. Not enough people bought japan studio games sadly .We got witcher4 , gta 6, monster hunter wilds, SONY firet party still cooking. It is the calm before the storm
It’s the first generation of PlayStation that I’ve missed, switching over to Xbox. Nothing to do with the console per se, but more the developers/publishers I enjoy being purchased by Microsoft and therefore Xbox exclusivity on a number of titles I enjoy. Have enjoyed what little gameplay I’ve experienced on PS5 though!
Of corse it is not the "worst" generation. People who claim that don't understand the world and how it affects almost everything, even the gaming industry. I'm frankly getting tired of seeing people video's saying it's the worst generation ever. This one does not, so that's different.
