I get them for $34.99 USD and feel just as good as a PRO V1. Give them a shot, just because it isn’t a titliest does not mean it isn’t up to par.

@@paulmcgee1867 It seems like Rick enjoys debunking what he considers to be hype and who he considers to be hype men. And Bob Parsons is a guy who trades in that area. So was his review objective? I assume he thought he was doing the job straight up. But bias is a funny thing. Sometimes it can creep in despite our best efforts. Opinions are always subjective.

Interesting review and thank you, I like this review and always appreciate your views and honesty in all your opinions. Seen a few different about this ball and everyone is a little different with what they think about this ball. Only thing I would say on your review compared to Rick's is your did the durability test off a mat indoors and Rick did his out of the bunker, this where I can see a big difference on how the cover will hold up. I see where ball reviews can be great for basics, but it does boil down to not every ball works for every golfer, too many different factors from person to person

I like the fact that PXG didn’t overwhelm us with several models. One ball does it all….but how does its compression rating factor in for slower swing speeds? I don’t compress a ProV1 that great, so would this ball still work for the average player?

I like PXG, I was over in Orlando in December and went in to their shop on I drive to have a look round, was great, ended up having a putter fitting, they were excellent in there and if I could have bought the putter there and then I would have, its considerably more here. But the ball feels like an attempt to be a Pro V1 at near Pro V1 pricing, if it was £10-15 less it would definitely be an option.

However at that price point why would golfers who are already using the ProV1 switch to the PXG? There doesn't seem to be any real advantage.

Matt, I know American things are a bit more pricey in the UK, but the PXG balls are $34.99 USD. On another point the V2 of the Kirklands are much more durable than the V1 other dynamics aside. V2 and most other golf balls can be compared, but in my opinion nothing compares to the Pro Vs in durability...not sure what they do or what magic dust they sprinkle on them.

Interesting that two You Tuber reviews can be so very different. Rick didn't rate the PXG as a Pro V1 (or any other premium ball) competitor and didn't like the sound. A few other variations too. Not sure what that proves other than golf is a very individual sport. Perhaps balls need to be 'fitted' too. Nice vid Matt.

I started golfing in the 60s and for a medium-priced ball, the Spalding Dot and Wilson K-28 had what was considered a nice "click" when you hit them. Maybe golfers today aren't used to that sound and therefor aren't used to it. My PxGs arrive tomorrow. I can't wait to try them out.
@canyonaro
@canyonaro Год назад
All of Rick's negative feedback is equally true of a Pro V1x. Pro V1 loyalists have a habit of hating everything other than a Pro V1. They're used to exactly how it sounds and how it behaves in all situations. It's a big reason for Titleist's sustained success with it. The changes from version go version are minimal-to-non-existent & that's how their customers like it.

Just because a ball is made in the same factory doesn’t always mean it’s the same ball with a different logo. They both likely use different materials to make the ball and the process could be slightly different too in terms of temperatures and pressures when manufacturing the ball. Different simple pattern maybe since that would just be a mold change.
